“First the food was actually really great. The Korean ribeye was what I’ve been missing being a California native that’s used to eating Polynesian and Asian food. Pizza, Spinach dip, and the Martinis was not the best but good fruit mixes. Despite a few mix ups my sisters and I enjoyed the place. BIG ovation to the manager on duty Monday evening that listened and addressed the issue promptly. The staff are very professional and I’m looking forward to another visit soon. Great job guys!!!“

“Took my family to MAS-ICNA convention and stayed at Hampton Inn next door. Gave Krave a shot. Probably 1 of the best experiences I've had in all of Chicago. Courteous, caring, comfort, and everything good in between. It gave me comfort that owner was of same background as I was to so that's a cherry on top in itself.

Food was top tier. Portions are beyond generous. Staff extremely thoughtful. I can't speak enough praise about this place. They deserve their success and so much more. This is my go to spot when I come back down again

“I love Standard Market's Seeded Rye Bread! It is one of the best rye breads to be found anywhere in the west suburbs. Unfortunately the last two loaves I bought are so very , very salty? I do bake bread myself (not as good as Standard Market's) I am aware of the role of salt, sugar etc. and their proportions, so why this extremely salty version ?“

“The food here is excellent! The flavors are unique, and the portions are large. They always bring a demitasse of soup right when you are seated which is delicious. The service is excellent... the wait staff, bartenders and bus boys were attentive, quick and knowledgeable. Everything I've ever had here is great. But it is not inexpensive! One of our favorite dishes is the cauliflower... but it is $24! My friend ordered the octopus, which was perfectly cooked and came with crispy chickpeas and potatoes. So good! I ordered the tostadas de pescado, which was also delicious. Although pricey... I will definitely be back.“

A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“We get this for takeout a lot, but you have to try the Fire Chicken Sandwich. It's one of my absolute favorites! The combination of pickled onions and jalapeños, topped with a sweet and spicy mango habanero sauce, is just incredible. And the cilantro garlic fries are the perfect side, especially when you dip them in the creamy ranch dressing.“

“Service was slow and someone in our party never received their food because of some “mix up.” Not sure if the mistake was made by the server or in the kitchen. The manager came by and had the kitchen prepare it and said we wouldn't be charged. At that point, the rest of the party was pretty much done eating so we took it to go. When we got the check, the meal was not taken off the bill and it took some time getting that resolved. But the food we did receive tasted great. Could have been an “off” night so we plan to give it another try.“

“We recently got married at The Elm this past weekend (10/13/2024) and can't express in words how satisfied we were with their service. Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. The atmosphere and vibe of both rooms was everything that we could hope for. The staff was incredible, the food/drinks were AMAZING, and our guests had nothing but positive feedback. “Daverns is a very popular bar. The staff is nice and attentive. Because of its popularity sometimes you have to wait a little bit but what can you expect on weekend when you’ve got a big crowd, live music & people enjoying themselves with a feel good atmosphere? The outdoor area is great and live music performs there during the summer months and inside during the colder months. There are bag games to play and if you want to host an adult birthday party or an event in a bar type of atmosphere this is the place to have it. They have a special event area in the back and if you like to play slots, there are some slots located in the front. While I don’t drink we have friends that do and we have been patronizing Daverns for years as our friends and my husbands bands play here . We haven’t really ordered food from here yet so I can’t review the food. I’m just reviewing the service and the atmosphere. They have specials from time to time and just really seem to me that they are all about the customers and running a great bar business. We have been treated so well every time we come which is why we keep coming back. So if you’re in the Justice area and want to stop at a great little bar/lounge give Daverns a try. .“
