“I love noodles. I have ordered every pan fried, steamed, chow fun, mei fun, lo mein from just about every Chinese place in the DG, westmont, Woodridge, Willowbrook, Darien area. The common denominator for most of the places is how they love dumping a ton of onions in the dish with some noodles, a little bit of meat and a scant amount of other veggies. I spend more time picking the creepy little (sometimes not so little) chunks of the filler out than actually eating my precious noodles. Darien Chop Suey gives me none of the little buggers! I always order the pad see eiw and not only are there piles of glorious noodles, but they never skimp on the meat or veggies! Beautiful broccoli and mushrooms and not an onion in sight! It's so yummy. The hubs loves the sesame chicken. The egg rolls are plump and the egg drop soup is divine. Plus, they are the most affordable place in the area! Dang when did Chinese food get so expensive? Very reasonable here though. Super nice on the phone and we've ordered like a dozen times and it's always ready in twenty minutes or so. This is my favorite Chinese place. Darien Chop Suey, more like Darien Chop Yummy fo rizz!!!!“

“The food was excellent, as always. The service was perfect. It was our anniversary and we were given a free dessert sample, which was very nice. We had raw oysters, the sea bass, lobster/crab cake and the filet mignon Oscar. Everything was perfectly cooked and the sauces were wonderful.“

“Hubby and I are regulars and Bonefish fans (Orland Park, Illinois, and also SE Florida). Their bread and olive oil w/pesto is crazy good. That's only what you are greeted with! Their menu has good variety, with Mahi mahi with lemon sauce being our fave! Long wait weekends, so make sure to reserve.“

“The highlight of my dining experience was, without a doubt, the Barramundi. This dish is a testament to the chef's artistry and the kitchen's commitment to sourcing the freshest, most sustainable produce. The barramundi, a fish known for its buttery texture and delicate flavor, was cooked to perfection. Its skin was crisped to a golden hue, encasing the moist, flaky flesh within. It was served atop a bed of vibrant, seasonal vegetables, each bite a harmonious blend of earth and sea. “Such a great seafood place, south suburbs, small strip center. I'd heard it was good, today is my first visit and oh boy is this place good the best place for seafood in the whole Chicago area. Yelp showed then add number 51 in the country . Today I had the Lobster Roll, warm. I also tried the fish and chips, both absolutely excellent about the best I've had. This lobster roll is on par with my all time favorite place, Burgundy Square Cafe in Venice, Fl. Both excellent, I'm so glad to know I no longer have to go to Florida to have the best Lobster Roll.I will be back, and often! Luckily Island Shrimp is only 45 minute drive away.“

“Came here with my wife while we were in town for a marriage conference. It was a busy Saturday night, but we had a reservation so the wait wasn't bad. Service was excellent and they got us helped very promptly, even with the full house!I ordered pollo marsala (pictured) with The Godfather (drink). Both were excellent! My wife ordered the pappardelle al nonno and she liked it as well. Great atmosphere as well. Would recommend the high tables if you're on a date as they're a bit more tucked away.Parking: We went on a Saturday evening (6:30 reservation) and didn't have any issues finding parking. Used the side lot which is shared by the other businesses nearby and found a couple spots immediately.“

“You got to try it. Great Food, Service and Presentation. How can you go wrong. Seafood is King here and the sides are fantastic- you get a choice of two with every meal. I'm not fond of carrot cake, so I have not tried it but believe me when I say everyone is talking about it both inside and outside of this restaurant- so if you are a fan- go for it!! Great selection in the Stella Artois non alcoholic beer too. Thanks.“

“Our first time here, it was last minute and we chose it based on a picture someone posted of a soup. We were pleasantly surprised to come in on a Sunday afternoon and we were provided with a table in one of their private rooms. We chose several options and when we tasted the soup, it was soo delicious. Everything was great. Can't wait to go back. We even got additional stuff to go.Kid-friendliness: The kids were offered a kiddie cocktail and they got a kick out of it.“

“Came in on Thursday lunch and sat at the bar. Stephanie the lovely bartender, was friendly , polite , attentive , and gorgeous. She had a great personality and attitude. I ordered a bacon , mushroom, and Swiss burger (off menu) and she was more than happy to accommodate me. Turkey chili was fabulous and so was my Bloody Mary. Stephanie was a true professional! “This was the best Brazilian steakhouse we’ve been to! The meat was juicy and well seasoned without being overly salty. All the staff were very professional and friendly. The only disappointment was the salad bar did not have any sundried tomatoes or goat cheese. There were plenty of other options though.“

“Had the porkchops, it was enough for three people and was incredibly good. The restaurant is a well oiled machine, just getting people in, fed, and out the door. Everything was fine, no complaints. Just not relaxed and quaint for my taste but this is what you should expect from a good steakhouse in the center of a popular higher end shopping center. We went on a Saturday night and Parking was a nightmare.“

We love customizing our salmon & tuna poke bowls with cucumber, edamame, ginger, jalapeno, pineapple and so much more. Avocado, mango, and seaweed salad are $1 extra. Get the mochi (3 for $5.50), you have 13 flavors to pick from, including espresso, toasted coconut, passion fruit, cake batter, and purple ube!“

“The food & service were great! Kelly was an excellent server and so patient with my autistic little brother. We enjoyed our burgers & the wings were great.Only con is that the women’s bathroom smelled horrible. It appeared to be clean, but the smell was really bad. Perhaps some bleach or re-tiling would do the trick.Overall, great experience. I just wouldn’t use the bathroom there.“

“Great spot for a date night or just anytime. Open and bright space. Large windows are all open to let the air in and a front open patio with fireplace. Went in on a Wednesday and, while not packed, was somewhat busy. The server was amazing and friendly. Offered recommendations on food and drinks. We went with the poke salad bowl, and I had the simple fish and chips. My portion was large, and the Poke bowl was plentiful also. Stayed for an extra cocktail also. They have a large pizza oven for flatbreads also. Large bar area also. Will be going back again!“

“I ordered on May 29th, and indicated that I have Celiac disease (gluten intolerance). I mistakenly ordered a portion of my bowl that included gluten ingredients. They attempted to call me twice (I missed it) to let me know. Even though I did not answer, they delivered the food with the gluten containing ingredient separate with a note to be careful. I am so impressed, and it is so hard to find safe places to eat as a Celiac. The extra care and time to make sure my food was safe really impressed me... not to mention the food was fresh and so delicious! I applaud the staff for their attention to detail and care, and am making Poke Bros a staple take out.“

“Went out to eat yesterday with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it! The owner (we assume) was super friendly and informative! Our appetizer included the fried shrimp which was so flavorful! Then we decided to split their 10lb “Ocean Medley” boil to get a good portion of everything. We personally would have preferred more juice and seasoning but overall it was good! ? He also recommended we try their ice cream which was amazing!! The flavors were perfectly subtle and delicious and went so well after our big meal!Overall a good experience and we will return again!“

“My experience was great, but this was with the private catering service.I celebrated my mother's 70th birthday surprise party. I started the planning in late December. The event planners were great. My party had 23 guests and we used the Savoy room. The event planners answered all of my questions, and I had plenty. As questions came up, I was able to message them and I would receive an answer almost immediately, and on the weekends, I only had to wait 30 mins to an hour tops! With the event planning service, they had a portal where the documents, contracts, payment deposit, and online discussion were maintained. This helped streamline a lot of the tasks. The event was on a Sunday in April at 11am - 3pm. I knew how crazy parking can be at Oakbrook Center Mall, so I got there at 10:15, and I informed all my guests to promptly arrive at 11am; plus they needed to get there before my mom. :-)For all the late arrivals, they had to deal with the parking issues, but that was on them, not me. LOL!Also a lot of the guests were seniors with previous knee, hip and back surgeries - so I informed them not to park where the restaurants are, but behind the Neiman Marcus. Otherwise, they would have to climb a lot of stairs! That was the best accessible option. I wish there was an elevator available through the Beatrix restaurant; but oh well! When I arrived early, I was able to add my decorations and wait for my guests and mom to arrive. The host was fabulous - super duper attentive, and also provided options for those guests who had food allergies.Since I was in charge of the food planning, everything was delicious. We had Grilled Pepperoni Flatbread, Mediterranean Chicken Skewers, Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken, Barbecued Baby Back Ribs, Cedar-Planked Salmon, Red Skin Mashed Potatoes, and Roasted Market Vegetables. All of that for $36.95 per person (price at the time of my contract) with a minimum of $800 wasn't bad at all!!Everyone had a great time and experience, and my mom was super surprised. That was the best part about the entire day!“

“Loads of options on an attractive menu. Restaurant has a fun vibe with great tiles and flowers hanging from the bar. We went with another couple and ordered drinks that were all well done – we love the chips and homemade roasted tomato salsa that they brought to our table. We then shared the guacamole which was a generous serving and very fresh, I had ceviche with shrimp that was a generous mound served with avocados on top and it was delicious. The service – although they were trying really hard – was slow and very spotty. We ordered drinks and only three of the drinks came and about 10 minutes later the fourth drink came. All our meals came together except for my husbands which came about 15 minutes later, which didn’t make for a smooth me out together. The portions were generous, and the food was fresh, and I would definitely go back. For a family place, the music was blaring and unnecessary, there are a few areas that they could improve on but the reason we went was the food and it was fantastic.Parking: Loads of parking around the building at st the strip shopping center.“

“The food was pretty good! We started with the shumai which came with a delicious spicy sauce. Our rolls were all pretty good, with our favorite being the turtle roll. The spider roll was probably my second favorite after that. The only thing we didn't love was our rolls came out in waves instead of all together which was kind of annoying, but maybe they were busy or something. Our waitress was also very kind. Overall solid dinner and we both agreed we would come back if we were in the area again.“

“Family get together dinner, some had been here before and 3 of us it was are 1st time here. Very enjoyable dining. Owner stopped by table to introduce himself and see if we were enjoying the experience at his restaurant, very nice to see how he watched over everything. Very easy to read wine list and food menus as when you open them they light up. The atmosphere was very interesting as the building is an old church built in 1928 and converted to this restaurant. Stained glass, fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and ivy covered walls outside make this a very unique place. GREAT service, easy to carry on a conversation, many candles create a pleasant atmosphere. Will enjoy returning in the summer as they have outside dining too. If you want a pleasant dining experience, this is a place to try.Parking: Large public parking garage behind restaurant and a few street parking spots in front of restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: No real obstacles in the way, and elevator to allow access to additional seating on 2nd floor, washrooms are also located on 2nd floor .“

We ordered hongkong steak, kung pao chicken- perfectly cooked and the sauce and spiciness is not overpowering.; yeong chow fried rice is yummy too, salt and pepper chicken is not what we expected. We were expecting a chicken but this is chicken strips covered in batter but it turned out really good too. Service is fast and tge owner is akways nice. The place is a typical chinese restaurant with round rables and booth. They just need to remove the table where they put the bakery products, it's just in the way when you walk to the tables.“
