“I came to the Deer Park location for the first time ever this past hot Sunday to pick up my $65 online app order of German Chokolate Kake, Berry Berry Berry Good and Surrender to Strawberry! My order was promptly ready when I arrived and courteously handed to me by 1 of their very nice and professional employees! The interior was very clean and organized--and packed with happy customers! I would definitely come back to this location for my ice cream cravings from now on!!“

“The cookies are DELICIOUS! The company tries to switch up the flavors weekly and always does a great job deciding on new flavors. The cookies are very large too, and we split one between 3 people. “When visiting a friend locally, they suggested we try the best ice cream around, and that sounded like a great challenge. There are many options for sitting outside in a park area, or on the balcony, or inside. When I opened the door and saw both the size of the menu and the many choices of ice cream I was overwhelmed. Staff is very friendly and offer help. I was able to taste 2 different kinds and look forward to next time I am in the area or have a strong craving for ice cream. I was amazed at how quickly it was ready. It was warm and moist as I bite into it. I can't wait to get back in here and try a different dozen the next time, that Duck dozen was amazing!A limited but growing chain, currently only 3 locations in the entire state and all in the Chicago area. Some of the east coast states especially North Carolina have the most locations, lucky them.There's even 2 locations in Puerto Rico and 4 international locations, 1 in Canada and 3 in the middle east. “Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“The Ice cream and candy was amazing. It is really cute and the service is great. My only small problem is that the ice cream was to sweet and the actual flavor did not really shine through. “I've had 2 cakes made by them and many trips with my teen to get no sugar added frozen yogurt.Both management and staff are helpful and accommodating (one cake order was really rushed - ?).You can take your order behind the building to the pond area (with fountain) that has "natural" stadium seating and a pavilion with benches and tables.Dietary restrictions: They do have 2 no sugar added options that they rotate frequently.Parking: The only problem with parking comes with the 3 nearby fitness businesses and people coming to those after work. When people aren't trying to CrossFit or Pilates their way through the evening, parking is just fine.“

“I had been wanting to go to Kurimu since it's opening by the UIC campus. I had heard good things about it, and the kind of soft serve ice cream they serve reminded me of Japanese soft serve I had in Hong Kong and Singapore. After multiple openings, including the one in Schaumburg, I still didn't check it out until December 2023. My main reason to not go the Schaumburg (by the virtue of being closer to me) location was the price point. Their menu is good, but the items are on the pricey side. Upon reading a handful of reviews, the general consensus I got from them was that although it is pricey shop, the quality and taste of their offerings are definitely worth it to at least experience it once. On my visit, I ordered a scoop of Thai Ice Tea ice cream, a Strawberry Matcha Latte, and a Dalgona Coffee Milk Tea. The shop was inviting and clean. The menu options were laid out well, and the staff member working at that time was friendly and very helpful. You can place your order through a kiosk or give it to the staff member at the cash register. I took my deciding what I wanted as it was my first time at Kurimu. While I was there, the shop got busy, which is good, and therefore, ordering through the kiosk came in handy. The staff member was pretty fast. I didn't have to wait long to get my order. Also, the ice cream I ordered was not enough in stock, so the staff member informed me that they would give me another complimentary scoop of ice cream of the flavor of my choice. I also wanted to get soft-serve, but the flavors at the time were not of my interest. They rotate their soft-serve flavors every month, I was told. I liked what I had a lot. The Thai Ice Tea ice cream was so creamy and flavorful. Its flavor was very pronounced. The complimentary scoop I chose was that of Melon ice cream flavor, and it was delicious, as well. I also loved the Dalgona Coffee Milk Tea. I had not had it before.Kurimu was definitely a hit in my book. I liked everything I tried. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but it's well worth a visit as what is offered is of high quality and taste and is not just run of the mill stuff. Sure, I can not afford to go here as often as I would like to but a few visits here, and there would be a good way to check out the different offerings of Kurimu.“

It wasn't inedible but was quite dry and quite bland. For this particular Kilwins, there's only street parking, so there can be a bit of a walk if the downtown gets busy. However, the sign is brightly lit and easy to spot. They offer a wide assortment of desserts, including fudge, caramel apples (made in-house), chocolate-dipped cookies, and of course, ice cream. The worker happily gave us fudge samples which was a nice surprise. I tried the chocolate cherry walnut which was delicious.They had over 20 ice cream flavors to choose from. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was great, but it was elevated from the bits of crunchy chocolate pieces. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, so you'll have to eat standing inside or find somewhere else outside. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd consider it a gourmet ice cream shop.“

Each week they have a new lineup to try and some are simple while others are a bit more unique. Located by Binny's on the corner of Lake Cook rd & Weiland, they're open every day but Sunday. On Sunday night, the next week's cookie selection is posted on TikTok, YouTube, & instagram. Milk chocolate chip & semi sweet chocolate chip are rotated every other week. Check 'em out!“

SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! It's a little more expensive than others in it's weight class, but the value exceeds the price by virtue of quality and density.Culver's is for the good, heavy feeling in your gut, loosening your belt and relaxing. You'll nap beautifully afterwards. The hand-packed custard pints are absolutely worth it. The malts are simply perfect. The burgers are unpreposessing and effective. The fact I can get cheese curds and fries really should set the standard for this place.If there is any real criticism...1) Once, many years ago, I got food poisoning at a Culver's. And that can (and has) happened many other places. This was also during the meat shortage a few years back, and I don't really hold them responsible.2) The interiors are frankly bland and plastic faux-Americana, lacking even the generic charm of a Chili's. If anything, it's an upscale McDonalds or Burger King. The fact it's bright whites and blues does lend a certain amount of trust though; if it was dirty, you'd know. And they're pretty scrupulous about hygiene.I love Culver's. It's a meal I get when I don't plan to do anything else with my day.
