“After two failed attempts, I eventually acquired the cinnamon square. I swear, when I placed my order using the kiosk machine, it appeared before me in a supernatural manner. I was amazed at how quickly it was ready. It was warm and moist as I bite into it. The texture and temperature were perfect, the icing was silky, and the dough was fluffy, but the flavor was weak, I didn't notice a strong cinnamon aroma.“
“Those of you who read my reviews know that I am allergic to milk. Why, you might ask, is he reviewing a Dairy Queen? The answer is, I went in for a slush drink, simply fruit juice (lots of sugar) and ice. What I found was they have dairy free and gluten free options. There aren't a lot, but they have some, what I call, "fake ice cream" bars in the freezer case. I had something similar to a Klondike Bar - fake ice cream dipped in dark chocolate on a stick. You know what? I was good. We live about two miles from here and, when I'm at the plaza, I'll stop in again. In the Northwest Suburbs, we need more dairy-free, gluten-free options. A few have sprung up over the years, but this one is very easy to get to.“
“We went to the drive thru they put on the sticker 49 and on the order was a 46 so they took 40 min to figure it out when we got our food it was already cold...They need to pay more attention to what numbers they put in your car and what numbers they put on the order.“
“Called to have a gender reveal cake made and WOW did these 3 girls absolutely exceed my expectations. Sam, Dayanara and Neva 100% killed it on this. Huge thank you. I sure hope the owners takes care of you 3 and pay you well, if they don’t take your amazing talent to someone who will. Again thank you for such a fast turnaround and as usual the cake was amazing as it’s my favorite.“
“The owners deliver pure magic to both children and adults alike! It truly is a happy place, you can feel it as soon as you walk in. The Peach smoothie was excellent and I look forward to trying more, there were many sorbets and ice cream flavors to choose from. The creations in ice cream that we received were works of art and joy. Highly recommended from a local parent’s social media group and delivered 100%! We will definitely work this into our routine. Pure joy. A Palatine treasure.“
“It was our first time yesterday and everyone there was so nice & welcoming! I believe the owners were there cleaning and just being present in their shop. They were so friendly when stopping to talk to customers. The coffee is amazing but they also have breakfast/lunch sandwiches! The Benedict Arnold? 10/10 the biggie shakes? 10/10 & you’re supporting a small business!“
“Really enjoyed this unique coffee and gelato place. Not only was the latte perfect, but the gelato was also really fresh and they had plenty of flavors. I saw others getting Nutella crepes that also looked amazing. Will most definitely come back!“
“If you're around the greater Chicago area. Stop in and grab a concrete. That's what I did.I'm from Missouri and we are known for how great our frozen custard places are. I gotta say it was a nice filling in for my normal ice cream stops.I got the chocolate peanut butter concrete and although, their caramel cookie dough looked very inticing, I didn't try it.They have a great variety of flavors and very creamy custard.Jake from Missouri approves.?????“
“Great tasting assortment, really reasonable pricing, particularly on cakes to go (try it for your next b-day party or such), but most of all super-kind, well-mannered, genuinely courteous staff - it's always a pleasure to stop by. I'm glad that they are in the neighborhood. Kids love it.“
“You will be part of the family here! Everyone is welcome and the owner will go out of her way to make you feel like her family the moment you walk in the door. By far the best gelato I have ever had! The owner Antonella could not have been more welcoming. I observed her interacting with children and she made them feel so special. The hand crafted affogato was out of the world. The shop is so cute and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a delicious treat. We will be back soon! AMAZING!!! In the meantime, I was sure to bring some gelato home until I can get back!“
“I'm not 100% sold on this yet. Don't get me wrong, the cookies are amazing. They had a carrot cake cookie that I would say ok for $5 but their regular size cookies for that same price is where I'm not totally sold. Don't get me wrong, they taste really good. I will definitely try them again, but only for their bigger cookies. The strawberry pretzel was my favorite. The carrot cake with a bit more nuts would be awesome, and I'm one of those that wants raisins with carrot cake. My only negative once again is $5 for a regular sized cookie that is delicious.FYI, there are 2 touchscreens on the counter. That is where you order. They were backwards when we went in and there was absolutely no way of knowing until they finally assisted us. So if they are backwards, flip them around and order.“
“Delicious! Excellent client service. I love their ice cream, mangoneadas, corn with butter, cheese and cream in a cup, natural cold pressed juices. Everything is made with attention for a reason. Be patient, they can get busy sometimes, but promise it will all be worth it. People get there with mobile orders expecting to skip lines- not even Starbucks does this.“
“Very good place service was nice and caring cookies were also deliciousVegetarian options: Good vegetarianDietary restrictions: They tell u what’s in them if u are skepticalParking: Many spotsKid-friendliness: Was very nice to my kidsWheelchair accessibility: Parking spots up close and easy access“
“We stumbled across this place on our drive back home. The had allot of cool flavors to try. They offer a variety of sizes, including kids scoops for fraction of the price, which had me sold. It's just nice to spend less for little ones that probably won't finish a whole cup. My daughter got cotton candy, my son got super man, I got a large ultimate Oreo shake, and my husband got a regular scoop of the blueberry cheesecake. The service is so fast. They had people coming in and out, but they made sure not to miss anyone. The Inside was so colorful and bright. It gives summer vibes. Really nice find.“
“This is my favorite place for frozen yogurt. Over the past 10 years I've visited many locations, all of which started to decline and inevitably close (Glenview, Park Ridge, Deerfield, Mount Prospect). Schaumburg has been the most consistent location over the years. Algonquin was always pretty good too but my last visit the froyo was watery. I know there are Bloomingdale and Downers Grove locations but I haven't been to those. The location is very clean and although there are typically kids running the locations, the store is always well kept and the toppings station is always full and clean. The froyo is always great, and they always have good flavors. Their machines are typically full. And like I've mentioned always consistent. I've been turned off by other froyo shops where the froyo is priced by the ounce and the froyo comes out of the machine like frozen or watery slush and just a small amount weighs a ton, so you're paying more for less, not to mention not enjoyable froyo. The Schaumburg location the consistency of the yogurt is always spot on. It's never watery, too icy/slushy or bland. I truly believe this location takes pride in their shop. I hope they stay in business forever!“
“Upon my return visit to Chicago to visit my sister, we had to stop in and have ice cream midday though it was @ 40 degrees! Being from Las Vegas, we are not honored with Oberweis's presence. The ice cream was just as delicious as it was the last time I stopped by. The girl behind the counter was friendly and quickly served our ice cream.“
“I was really happy with my visit. The customer service was really great, sorry I do not know the name of the nice young lady that took my order. I was really happy that you guys have Blue Moon!! It’s my favorite flavor, and I will be back to come get some more. 5/5 stars ❤️❤️❤️“
“There’s no better ice cream.Try a scoop of Zoreo with a scoop of Banana on a waffle cone - for the perfect ice cream coma ??You won’t regret it!(At least not for the first 20 mins or so)So yummy ?The staff is always friendly and owner always kind.“
“Enrique, the owner, made us our drinks including a cafe mocha, vanilla caramel latte, iced chai. You could tell he really cared about making the best drinks possible and making them aesthetically pleasing. We will definitely visit every time we come to Bartlett!“
“Delicious ice cream with unique and traditional flavors to choose from. Super friendly staff. Only suggestion is that they consider allowing split scoops. There are so many good flavors and would be great to split a scoop instead of having to get two big scoops. Portions are very good, but often no need for two giant scoops!“
“This location is the best. I don't have to say too much about the custard, it is always great. But the service is fantastic too. I made a wrong order that is definitely my mistake, but the stuffs are still willing to change the order for me, right before they are closing! Thanks Zav and Taylor (I hope I did not spell your names wrong, if I do I am so sorry) and all other stuffs. I would like all customers and your manager knows the awesome service that you provided. Will definitely come back for more custard. Looking forward to you guys again.“
“Cute shop! People working there are very nice and friendly! I got the exhausted parent in a small cup. It was delish to say the least. Only reason im not giving a 5 stars is because I did not see all the flavors listed online there to choose from. Overall a good spot, Will be back.“
“I tried their new seasonal soft serve Matcha Blossom Float with cherry blossom soda at the bottom, it was so unique and delicious. Just simply exquisite! Awesome!Vegetarian options: Vegan flavor ice cream / soy milk substitutionParking: Hugh parking lot and street parking just in front of the entrance.Kid-friendliness: Pop-up theme.“
“Service was great. Had our ice cream served in freshly made waffle cones. They were still warm. Tried caramel collision and it was the best caramel ice cream I've ever had. Caramel ice cream with ribbons of caramel and chocolate covered caramel pieces. Absolute heaven.“
“So sooooooo sooooooooo good, staff was very nice and so attentive and made the gelato look so good. Very detailed and patient. After leaving I got compliments that the gelato looked soooo good and asked me where I got it from. Great experience.“
“i’ve been coming here for the past 2 years and Greg has always been the best! his friendly, professional and kind service is always appreciated and has made me a return customer since 2021! happy holidays and happy new years to you Greg! thanks for all the smiles!“
“Our son, Parker has worked at Nekter for almost a year now. He actually loves working there, and that’s all you can ask from your 18-year-old son. Loren and Brandon, the owners, really care about these kids and the same with the quality of food they make fresh every day. Having a son who works at Nekter has also afforded us the opportunity to try virtually everything on the menu. Yes, we are real customers but mostly we just love healthy food that tastes really good. If you’ve ever had a smoothie from a chain place, you’ll instantly know the difference. Our favorite things are their Chia pudding w pumpkin and a Popeyes Açaí are ridiculous. You know when your teenager makes homemade cashew milk at home… reminds you that you live in Barrington but also that the universe is working!“
“YoFruito has one of the freshest frozen yogurt you can find in the area. They have my favorite tangy plain frozen yogurt and all sort of yummy flavors and toppings! Also love their fruit freeze using real frozen fruits.Kid-friendliness: Toys and other things that can keep the kids entertained for free.“
“Parking: There’s always somewhere to park!!!!!Kid-friendliness: Kids have so much fun at crumbl and these cookies bring families closer togetherWheelchair accessibility: It’s easy for elderly and disabled to access’s the inside of the store“
“Excellent very delicious food. It is my daughters' favorite food. We stop by here every chance we get but today the lady at the drive thru really needs to be better trained in customer service because after I ordered over the speaker I forgot to order something so I decided to ask her but she gave me a deep sigh and she asked me in a very bad attitude what do you want. Really!!!! I'm paying for my food. I'm not asking for free..!!“
“Good choice for toppings on vanilla or chocolate soft serve ice cream. Soft serve was good quality but instantly turns runny in mostly anything other than a cone (eg sundae). Personally I'm a custard guy though and would rather have ice cream flavors instead of toppings. Next time we'll have to try their shaved ice.“
“This ice cream shop is a step above the rest. You immediately smell the sweet scent from the entrance which adds to the experience. For this particular Kilwins, there's only street parking, so there can be a bit of a walk if the downtown gets busy. However, the sign is brightly lit and easy to spot. They offer a wide assortment of desserts, including fudge, caramel apples (made in-house), chocolate-dipped cookies, and of course, ice cream. The worker happily gave us fudge samples which was a nice surprise. I tried the chocolate cherry walnut which was delicious. They had over 20 ice cream flavors to choose from. I had the toasted coconut. The flavor was great, but it was elevated from the bits of crunchy chocolate pieces. Unfortunately, there's no seating available, so you'll have to eat standing inside or find somewhere else outside. Prices are on the higher end, but I'd consider it a gourmet ice cream shop.“
“My brother, my fiancé, and myself go here every Friday right when they open. The owner seriously makes us feel like more than just customers. She remembers us and greets us with a smile every week. The good vibes as well as the great selection of froyo keep us coming back. We will not go anywhere else. This is our froyo home.“
“Where can I start, I've been coming here for 15 years now, that staff is incredibly friendly always, it's like care bears mixed with rainbow bright lol, the ice cream and cones are fresh, a great hidden gem, you understand why there's a line.“
“Birthday Cake for our daughter. Red velvet, whole party LOVED it. Everyone asked where it was from-it was SO GOOD! They were easy to work with, polite, and decorated it beautifully!Kid-friendliness: Birthday cake for 7 year old was awesome!“
“I've been trying to look a good matcha ice cream place in Chicago for the longest time and I FOUND IT! Releaf is located in the cutest Japanese marketplace, tucked away in the corner amid other restaurants. I got their Black Sesame and Matcha mixed soft serve on a cone. Honestly, there isn't much to say except that it was delicious. The quantity is really great, swirl was aesthetically pleasing to look at, and you can taste both the matcha and black sesame. The staff said that the soft serve is definitely stronger compared to the ice cream scoop. They do serve drinks during their normal operating hour, but after like 6/7pm, they only sell soft serve and ice cream after those times.“
“This Dairy Queen has the best customer service! I forgot to order a cake for a family birthday, and nor only did the manager prepare a cake for me right away, he also delivered it to my house! This man went so far out of his way for me!!! Amazing!!!“
“The texture of the ice cream was nothing short of perfection – velvety, creamy, and rich. I opted for a double scoop of salted caramel and dark chocolate, and I was immediately transported to a realm of decadent bliss with the first bite. The flavors were robust and well-balanced, showcasing a meticulous attention to detail in the crafting process.Beyond the traditional offerings, the parlor also boasted a variety of unique toppings that allowed patrons to customize their desserts. From artisanal fruit compotes to indulgent chocolate chip, the possibilities for creating a personalized masterpiece were endless. The staff at the parlor were not only friendly but also knowledgeable about the different flavor profiles, making recommendations based on individual preferences. Their passion for the craft was evident, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience.Prices were reasonable considering the quality and craftsmanship of the ice cream, making it accessible to a broad spectrum of dessert enthusiasts. The generous portion sizes ensured that even the most voracious sweet tooth would leave satisfied. In conclusion, this ice cream parlor is a gem in the dessert landscape of the city. Whether you're a connoisseur seeking unique flavor combinations or a casual visitor craving a classic scoop, this establishment is sure to leave a lasting impression. I left with a contented palate, a satisfied sweet tooth, and the certainty that I had discovered a new favorite spot for indulging my love of ice cream.“
“I have come to this candy shop for the last 10 years. That should speak for itself. If it doesn't, I'll say more:I absolutely love chocolate malts. Any place I go that has them, I always order one. SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! I took a friend a few months ago, telling them that the malts are the best and she was skeptical. Had one sip and said it was "50/10."However, if you aren't into malts, there are many other things to love. They have the widest variety of candies I have ever seen at one shop, plus some types of candy that I haven't seen anywhere else in 15 years, not to mention soda in actual glass bottles! Good luck finding those in your local grocery store! It seems impossible to find a real *candy* store anymore, as opposed to a store with a candy section. If you're in the area, SweetSpot is a must-visit. I'm moving several hours away tomorrow, but you can be sure that any time I come back to visit, I'll be stopping here for a malt!“
“Dmitriana was the star of this place from bringing us tasters to make the visit extra special! The black cherry and espresso caramel chip were wonderful! The place is kept really clean and will be back when the weather is warmer as eating ice cream during winter is not really my thing.“
“Excellent ice cream and fantastic chocolate milk! The service was great. The clerk was very patient with my grandson, who kept changing his mind on his ice cream flavors!Kid-friendliness: My grandson's really enjoyed the ice cream. They also have chess and other board games available to play.“
“Such a cute store, it's vibrant, very well lit, clean, and colorful, making it a great spot to hang with friends or family. The workers were very friendly and fast at making the rainbow cone. Overall was yummy and I loved all the flavors! Worth checking out this 95 year Chicago tradition if you're looking for a new spot to check out.“
“I came here and they have delicious bubble tea and frozen yogurt, they also have many options for toppings. I purchased the lychee boba and it was so delicious! The place is very clean to. However the hours are a bit odd they open pretty late but they close late to which is convenient. Overall great place!“
“Who doesn’t like a nice fast food meal. Culver’s has great food items to choose from, but their choice of ice cream toppings is absolutely insanely AMAZING. I asked for a random choice of ice cream and topping and they delivered without a fuss. I will say that the restaurant was nicely clean too.“
“My favorites are the single deluxe burger and fried fish. I love it when they have Walleye available versus Cod. Lately I've been getting the cocktail sauce versus tartar sauce for dipping the fish into. Although there's always at least an additional 5 minutes of wait time after ordering and paying in the drive-thru to get your food, most times it's worth the wait.“
“The menu has a great variety. The yogurt is my favorite and the fruit provided is super fresh. The corn is not so good. Either not cooked all the way or overcooked. Same as the chicharones, some weren't cooked all the way so they were bendy. The premade ice cream cookie sandwiches aren't too good BUT they will make it fresh if you ask. Make sure to ask for the cookie to be warmed up,the best cookie sandwich that way. But overall the place is lovely. They should work on their customer service in person and over the phone as well. They weren't too friendly. The prices are by far the best around for the quantity of food. Definitely will be my go to spot and excited to try everything available.“
“We live nearby and drive past this Culver's location 1-2x a week. Our favorite local burgers are from Shake Shack, but this Culver's is located closer and is more convenient. Plus, they're more affordable with a great kid's meal now that my toddler can eat half a cheeseburger.Shake Shack also has our favorite cheese fries, but Culver's is good with their Wisconsin cheese sauce. We usually order a cheeseburger for my husband and a cheeseburger kid's meal for our toddler and me to share. Their kid's meals are great because they include a side, drink, and a scoop of custard with a topping for $6.99.Their online ordering is easy, especially when making customizations to the burgers and upgrades to the meals. Our toddler doesn't like onions, and they've always gotten our orders correct. We love dessert, and after our local Dairy Queen became really stingy with mix-ins/toppings, we were so glad to experience this Culver's standard of beautifully made malts, shakes, sundaes, and custards. And unlike Portillo's shakes that turn to ice in the freezer, Culver's desserts stay scoopable the next day. What we'd love to see from Culver's is a rewards program and a way to checkout with their coupons online.“
“I had the best time here! Gelato was wonderful and had a tumbler made which is a treasure! The atmosphere is so loving and joyful! You can't help but smile when you're there! Great things are happening at Gigis playhouse and Hugs and Mugs!“
