“Bamboo Spoon is one of the two places in the area for fro-yo in the proximity of Hoffman Estates and South Barrington, but even with the lack of competition from other places it does pretty well. Bamboo Spoon is clean and accommodating to those with dietary restrictions because they have low fat options. Bamboo spoon is a little over priced; but isn’t fro-yo always? The only problem with it is that the employees added spoons to our weight of our fro-yo making us pay more, but otherwise it was decent but ultimately I would still rather go to Menchies.“

“Amazing customer service. William was kind and patient and explained the menu to us even though they were closing in 15 minutes. Will definitely tell my friends. I loved how they had the ingredients clearly listed like gmo free and gluten free and The atmosphere is also very nice and comfortable hoping to come back soon.

“This location is a bit small but good. I really like the miffy collaboration! I also really liked the vanilla and peach flavors here.

Some of the flavors are really good. The tea flavors are really strong, so that might be good or bad, depending on what you are looking for (at night I was not looking for a strong tea flavor, but I would be happy for it in the afternoon). At the very least some of the flavors are just mid, but not terrible. They just didn't hit the spot at the time. At least the miffy-shaped ice cream was really cute!

The soft serve was good too. I tried Pandan and Mango I think. The Mango flavor was nice and sweet. The Pandan was good too, but not as sweet as I thought it would be. I think that's a good thing because people don't like it as sweet or artificial tasting. Although that night I was really looking for more sweet flavors, and the Pandan didn't hit it for me atm, I can say its pretty solid quality (I can say this because I tried other desserts with Pandan extract, and they have an interesting artificial taste to them. That artificial taste was not there). So still A+.

But man, their waffle cones are really good! I tried the midnight vanilla and the orange creamcicle cones. The midnight vanilla was great, although I forgot exactly how it tasted like (cause I was more focused on the peach flavored ice cream with it, which was amazing!) The orange creamcile one really tasted like an orange cream ice cream put into a cone.

Yeah, when I went here, I got two cones of ice cream and one cone of soft serve ?

I bought a pint from here and found that it melted relatively quickly. Also, the pint ice cream is not as creamy as maybe some other places that I had in California, like Salt and Straw, Smitten's or Humphry Slocombe. I would come here mainly for the unique flavors. Try the Hokkaido Brown Sugar or the Chinese Almond Cookie flavors. Those are some of my favorite!

I didn't rate for atmosphere because although it was well designed it was small there was no wifi :(. Other Kurimu locations are bigger. But I don't want to rate them down because of this.“

“In the winter of 2020 while visiting family in Schaumburg we had delicious milk from a famous family-owned ice creamery. Recently after another visit I decided to actually buy some ice cream from store.

I've heard Jewel or someone sells the brand to but there's nothing like buying from the actual store. I asked the cashier to help me pick; too many yummy choices! I went with a cup of strawberry and butter pecan; very good! Too bad I can't take it home with me. It will make return trips to IL more enjoyable, to be sure!“

“They are by far the best dq in the suburbs. They are not stingy with toppings. Sure the price reflects that sometimes but will you rather pay $8 for a blizzard with 2 Oreo cookies in it or $10 for one with 8 Oreos in it? I love the Oreo blizzard and Reese’s. “I have come to this candy shop for the last 10 years. That should speak for itself. If it doesn't, I'll say more:I absolutely love chocolate malts. Any place I go that has them, I always order one. SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! I took a friend a few months ago, telling them that the malts are the best and she was skeptical. Had one sip and said it was "50/10."However, if you aren't into malts, there are many other things to love. They have the widest variety of candies I have ever seen at one shop, plus some types of candy that I haven't seen anywhere else in 15 years, not to mention soda in actual glass bottles! Good luck finding those in your local grocery store! It seems impossible to find a real *candy* store anymore, as opposed to a store with a candy section.If you're in the area, SweetSpot is a must-visit. “Can't comment on the ice cream experience. We go here for the chilli cheese dogs and chips. Dogs are delicious and not as pricey as if you were getting Beef Villa or Portillos.
I did have a mango smoothie but I threw it away. It was very artificial and super sweet.
I have to park in the adjacent lot because the Drive thru ramp is too shallow, so many cars touch the pavement/road and get scratched/damaged.“

“Dairy Queen has always been about the ice cream and sundaes. However some people like myself eat the Chilli dogs and other food items offered. The food is average and definitely could use a new updated menu with more options. The customer service was great and she helped explain the menu items for me. The reason I gave 3 stars for atmosphere is because it's quite drewy in the building and it also could use an update. ENJOY!!“
