Don't miss DeKalb's top Mexican restaurants, as recommended by Restaurantji.
“First time trying here I’ve been very picky about my tacos so this is the first place I’ve ever tried since moving to dekalb, I ordered the birria tacos dinner the tacos were good but I’m still kind of disappointed my rice was very crunchy and my dinner didn’t include the birria dip that I was looking forward to honestly it was the only reason I ordered the birria tacos.“
“Food was tasty though the wait seemed a bit long. Not extremely long - it was busy and I think to go orders were priority whereas we were dining in. I really like that they have a Chile Relleno a la carte and they have French fries, both of which were quite good. Bill was $32 for 2 people but we had quite a bit of food leftover. House sauces were good also - red one was quite hot but also had good flavor. We will definitely be back.“
“A "Mexican" restaurant where no one spoke to me in Spanish but that's the least of it. I ordered a roast beef and what was my surprise, it was one of the best I've eaten in a long time. It had an exact cooking seasoning. Very good portion of food accompanied by rice, beans and salad, the only thing I would say is that they heated the tortillas in the microwave and not on the griddle where they cooked the meat, but from then on everything was excellent and be careful, says an expert in Mexican food.“
“It was a nice and cozy restaurant, perfect for the family. I felt like I was in Mexico when I really wasn't. It's great. The service was great, and it was pretty cool. They even have 2 flat screens.Vegetarian options: It's mostly salads, but I don't think it's much of a problem.Parking: It's just a normal parking lot, it's not too big, but it works since barely anyone goes anymore. ?Kid-friendliness: I brought my younger brothers, and they were treated nicely, even when they were a little annoying“
“If you are looking for good food, this is the place. They have a large menu with lots of different Mexican food items. I’ve never been to Mexico, so I don’t know it’s true authentic. What I do know is that it is really good and is a great value for your money. Everything is cooked fresh.“

“Prices are great compared to Chicago. Foods good and the salsa isn’t spicy to the point where you’ll die. The steak was partially ground beef but nonetheless it was good.Dietary restrictions: Tea, water, and vitamin water available instead of Soda“
“A pretty solid Mexican place in DeKalb! They will make the guac right in front of you - so it tastes super excellent and fresh. They are also good about giving you plenty of chip and salsa refills. I ordered the Mariscos con Arroz. The portion was huge - I couldn't eat all of it despite being very hungry. I ordered it spicy but it wasn't very spicy so don't expect any spiciness in the food. The food was pretty salty - I ended up gulping down a big glass of water to deal with the saltiness. The food was still good - just a bit too salty and not spicy enough.“
