“JJ is our favorite place to go. We have been coming here for lunch and dinner like forever. This place offers a variety of popular Thai street food dishes and they are all heavenly delicious. Note: Try their Khao Kha Moo and Fried Tofu Salad (Nam Tok), you can't go wrong with those!“

“High quality Thai food. Limited menu (no pad Thai) but that doesn't detract from the offerings. Grandma's pork belly is different from your typical pork belly dish. The pork belly is cut into bitter sized pieces and deep fried. Served with the jaew sauce is really delicious. My wife loves coming for the papaya salad and Thai fried rice. The pad siew is also really well prepared here.“

“Absolutely incredible place!! It's definitely the best sushi and Thai on the north side of Chicago. We usually go to Hot Wok Cool Sushi or other places further into the city. -Not after today! This place was fantastic. The service was great - they were so friendly. And the food and presentation was phenomenal. It blew away any place that we went to before. It's the first place that all 4 members of my family agreed was awesome. We will definitely be back soon!“

“Very clean and cute shop with wonderful service. The people were very polite and food was quick. I got the orange chicken and it was outstanding. A lot of place use a sugary/ fake tasting orange sauce, but Broccoli has a very authentic and delightful taste. Our appetizers were super good, too. I was in town for a convention but I'd happily drive the hour it takes to get there to eat at Broccoli again.“

“I never write reviews, but when you visit a place that hits all of the marks it has to be done. My partner and I came to Evanston for a show last night and wanted to grab dinner beforehand. After narrowing down our choices, we landed on NaKorn. When we walked in we were greeted by super friendly staff and a gorgeous low-light ambiance, complete with a unique attention to detail that I'll let you notice when you come to visit. Drinks: My partner stuck with a gin martini and I had the White Tail. Both were well portioned and delicious! Dinner: We shared four of their bites: the vegetarian scallops (out of this world. I am weary about mushrooms sometimes but they were my favorite of the night), fried tofu (the attention to detail in plating these was amazing, and the dressing delicious), the ginger bourbon popcorn chicken (a last minute add on for us but delicious and balanced the meal out), and the poached tiger prawns (I don't eat shrimp, but my partner raved about them. I ate the broth over some sticky rice and was impressed). Dessert: we had the "you asked for it", a vegan chocolate cake with Turkish cotton candy and a coconut cream sauce. I'm probably forgetting something here, but it was divine. For their pastry chef to work so hard on a vegan dessert was sweet to hear , and they certainly deserve all the praise on this one. We also finished the night with a digestif, which was neat to see on a dessert menu. I wasn't expecting it, but love that addition. Service: Okay, you don't get better service anywhere else. We met Rush, Marc, and one of the owners (I am so sorry that I didn't catch your name!!) We didn't wait long at all for our food, there was plenty of fun conversation with everyone, and we felt taken care of the entire time. My partner and I are former/current service industry folks so we're understanding if something goes wrong, isn't perfect, etc, but genuinely we were blown away by the entire experience from every turn. Living over an hour away, I want to make a special trip out here and take others to experience this level of dining because it was just that amazing. Spots like this deserve recognition far beyond a positive yelp review and I hope they continue to crank out some of the most delicious food and hospitality I've ever experienced. I hope you'll give this spot a chance if you haven't because it won't take long before you're planning your next night out to NaKorn.“

“Eat Fine is a special place. Not only is their menu extensive and their food incredible, they really care about their community, the service is amazing and they always do whatever they can to help you out. But most importantly, their food is top notch. There isn't anywhere I know of that makes such delicious, fresh tasting Thai food, and I'm so lucky to have it in my neighborhood. You really owe it to yourself to visit.“

“Beautiful interior, delicious food, attentive staff, and fast service. We dined in on a Sunday afternoon and very much enjoyed our experience. We started with the Finger Combo. I tried the crab rangoon and crispy rolls which I thoroughly enjoyed. The only note I have is that it comes with a tiny cup of sweet and sour sauce. The dish could definitely use a bigger serving of sauce to complement all the yummy fried finger foods! The pineapple shrimp curry was perfectly sweet and creamy with a hearty helping of rice. My mom said the Pad Si Ew was tasty, loved the presentation as well. My boyfriend ordered the Basil Fried Rice which packed a spicy kick but was super flavorful. We are excited to have a new Thai place in our repertoire!“

“Solid Thai place. Not great, not bad. Generally very nice people inside. Was surprised that there were so few gluten free curries —only their green and red were GF. The Pad Thai was also very agree. The picked cucumbers, carrots, and onions as a cheap appetizer was probably the most delicious thing we ate.“

“First and foremost, the staff is hands down the best! Literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve tried a few things on the menu and nothing has been a let down. Usually I regret straying from “the usual” but I never do here. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve ever had, the wings surprised me with how tasty and well cooked they were, the basil chicken egg rolls were bomb (so is the basil chicken over rice), and the Khao Soi is a best seller for a reason!“

“The food is outrageously good and the man at the counter (guessing he is the owner) is wonderful. He’s helpful and welcoming and just a pleasure to deal with. I’m so glad I took a chance. I’ve got lots of decent Thai around me and the menu is a bit different here. Everything I’ve had has been so good.“

“This is our go-to takeout spot. They have plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The massaman curry and basil fried rice are my personal favorites. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and spices. I've had the chive dumplings, fried tofu, veggie egg roll, cucumber salad. (All marked vegan on the menu which I highly appreciate). The panang curry was waaaay too spicy for me so I'm sticking with massaman. I haven't dined in but whenever I pick up take out, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere.“

“I planned on going to dinner there last night (Tuesday) and we found great parking, walked to the restaurant and sadly found out it was closed. As we were about to turn around, Anna appeared and invited us in and cooked dinner.... what other owner would be so generous with her own personal time? We had an incredible evening, great food and the compassion of Anna and her concern for her customers makes us keep going back....Anna's Thai Kitchen deserves a "10." It is my favorite Thai restaurant and every different dish I have ordered has been phenomenal for the quality, freshness and incredible flavor. Anna's restaurant is her heart; she only serves food that she loves! Her menu and her food come from her heart.... open your heart and share in her love!“

“Ever since they opened we go out of our way to frequent this place. We have other Thai places within walking distance from our condo but a short drive yields better quality Thai food and wonderful service. Ambiance: The place is super clean which is a plus. If the front of the house is immaculate, I would think the kitchen is the same. The food is amazing. Tiger Cry is amazing and they give a nice size portion compared to other places. Sweet/savory marinated thin slices of beef char-grilled is wonderful. Don't hesitate on the fried shumai- Fried shrimp shu-mai, served with light sweet and sour sauce. Awesome finger food. You can't go wrong with any of the curry dishes. This last round we had the Gaeng Masaman - Masaman curry and potatoes sauteed in coconut milk with peanuts and chicken. Great flavor. So many selections but all have been great! I love the fact you can choose the level of spiciness for each dish depending on your preferences. We go full-tilt hot as hell spicy and it does not disappoint! Pricing is a bit lower than your average Thai places and portions are more generous. 3 dishes for 2 people yields leftovers! Owner is friendly and I can tell he loves what he does and is looking out for the diners. This is the place you want to make sure thrives. Go pay them a visit.“

“A Cozy Culinary Gem: Delights and Comfort at Chim Thai CuisineThe warmth and inviting atmosphere immediately set the stage for what was to be a memorable dining experience. Nestled in a cozy corner, this restaurant is a haven for Thai cuisine enthusiasts and foodies alike, offering a blend of traditional flavors and a homely ambiance. The Chicken Satay, a dish that stood out for its perfectly grilled texture and the harmonious blend of spices that permeated the tender chicken strips. Served with a side of rich, creamy peanut sauce, each bite was a delightful journey through the vibrant tastes of Thailand.Next on the table were the Pork Rolls, which were nothing short of exceptional. The pork filling was succulent and flavorful, complemented by a dipping sauce that added a tangy and slightly sweet note, making each bite irresistible. The highlight of the evening, however, was the Pork and Wonton Noodle Soup. The noodles, cooked to perfection, tied the whole dish together, making it a profoundly satisfying experience. The restaurant exudes a cozy charm, with its warm lighting and thoughtfully arranged decor, creating an inviting space that complements the dining experience beautifully.I will definitely comeback!“

“We have eaten here twice, once dine-in and later, take-out. The delivery was faster than they promised online, and the food was hot. I can say without qualification that I have never had better Thai in three decades of trying. The flavors in each dish are vibrant and sometimes surprising ... it's an experience I expect at a Michelin starred restaurant, but from takeout. Wtf.“

“The people were so friendly, very talkative..it reminded me of how Greek families of old ran their own businesses. The food is amazing in look, style presentation and taste. “I've been to this cute neighborhood spot twice now but have only gotten to reviewing it now. The decor is cute and I like how much sunlight streams into the space, and the service has always been nice and friendly even though it's a small team (we love supporting local + family-owned businesses!). Now onto the food - last time I got the udon pad Thai which I thought was a fun way to eat pad Thai. This time I got the fish cakes as an appetizer and the crispy rice salad as a main. The fish cakes are well spiced and fragrant and I enjoyed them and the little cucumber salad they came with. They have a lot of interesting appetizers so next time I want to try the chive dumplings and/or the shrimp in the blanket. I ordered the crispy rice salad because I saw great reviews for them and it caught my eye because I love a crispy item and the crispy rice puffs sounded so good. They are really great, although the red curry paste def gives it a kick so it's spicy but not unbearable (reference point I am decent but not amazing with spice and Thai spice usually is pretty spicy for me). Definitely worth trying and I've not had anything quite like the crispy rice balls. Such good texture and very fragrant - you can taste the lime juice and herbs. Lastly, I got their taro pearls with coconut milk, which reminds me of the Filipino dessert ginataan. Warm, cozy and perfect way to end a meal especially on a cold day. The verdict is I'm glad this restaurant is in the neighborhood and I would definitely come back and try other things on the menu.“

“I am absolutely obsessed with this place. The shrimp spring rolls are fantastic and I will be ordering the Khao Soi Gai every week for the foreseeable future. It is incredible!! I tried it for the first time last night (having never tried Thai curry) and oh my god. It’s sweet, savory, the chicken is great, and the noodles are perfect! I had my 8 month old try a bite and he loved it too!! The papaya salad is also super good! I will absolutely be ordering from here again next week. Thank you!!“

“we had tofu pad thai and tofu green curry noodles and they were both amazing. i love thai food and have been to at least 10 diff thai places in different states too, but this is hands down in my top three favorites. the tofu in my pad thai was cooked to perfection, crispy but not too much and the portions were great. we loved the thai tea from here too, their style was more creamy than i’ve had at other places (or how i make it myself) but it was tasty and makes me want to make it like that at home :) great service too everyone was nice and it was great thank you“

“The Pho was so good! I had the pho with shrimp and I added some Tofu.I came here based on other people’s review and I was not disappointed. I’ve been to one other place that was quiet underwhelming so I needed to get it right this time ? I added some extra hot sauce to make it very spicy and I was good to go. I recommend.I forgot to ask for the server’s name but he’s one of the most pleasant server I’ve ever met! So Thank you for much.“

“Just as great as I remembered. I ate here 10 years ago often then I moved, now that I'm back in Chicago it's worth the drive from the Southside! Service awesome, good hot and seasoned perfectly. Basil fried rice, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, pad Thai and ginger wings are staples. I hope this place never closes! I wish the take out on 18th was still there but maybe another location will pop up in the future. Til then I'm going to keep taking the 45 minute ride to Berwyn, it's just that good and the service and quickness you receive such delicious food is unmatched.“

“Quiet hole in the wall place. Worth every penny and definitely coming back. Satay chicken was perfect, tender and juicy and the sauce on the side is essentially peanut butter with coconut milk. The Nong Thong were fried extra crispy and are really hot when served, definitely wait a minute before grabbing and it comes with sweet chilli sauce, but the sweet chilli sauce is the stuff you can get at the store. Their salad has a nice light vinaigrette on it. Their Tom Yum soup is sour, threw us off initially and if you get it medium heat, it's really spicy and the spice coats everything. The pineapple fried rice is a really large serving, almost seems likes it's supposed to be shared by the table. Again, medium heat is pretty spicy, but on the pineapple fried rice it's a slow build and it lingers for a long time. That being said, the spice is only in the mouth and doesn't burn the stomach.Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu or imitation meat optionsDietary restrictions: Can be veganParking: Parking is a crap shootKid-friendliness: Easy with the spice level, medium is not for beginnersWheelchair accessibility: First floor, no steps“

“I really loved my experience here! I ordered the fried rice and a crab & cheese (crab rangoons) and it was all very delicious. The service was really good too. I feel like places that are a smaller dining-in area can be intimidating, especially when we were the first party to be sitting in there tonight. But since we were confident and content, it really made for no big deal and there were many others who came in for dine-in/carry-out while we were there.“

“I come here for the Bring It On Noodles. This is a soup that tastes like nothing I've ever had. It combines the best of Thai flavors. The soup is spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, and packed with umami flavor. All of the elements of this soup pair so well together. 10/10 for this soup that I have damn near once/week. “We just moved to Portage Park and have been here several times. The sushi is so fresh and good quality, service is absolutely outstanding and Kay always remembers us and makes us feel like family. I'm sad the weather is warming up because the Tom Kha soup is out of this world! Tried the wings for the first time today and the seasoning they sprinkle on them is a magic dust of chili and lime, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.“

“I recently dined at this delightful Japanese/Thai fusion restaurant, and it was a flavor-packed experience. The Spicy Creamy Tom Yum Noodle broth was rich, tangy, and had just the right amount of heat. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked, and the fragrant aromatics—garlic, chilies, and kaffir lime leaves—elevated the dish. And fav dish was Yakiniku don. The savory-sweet yakiniku sauce tied everything together. It was comfort food at its finest. The Beef Tongue was our adventurous choice. Thinly sliced and grilled, it had a unique texture—tender but slightly chewy. The marinade was flavorful, and the hotstone grill made it even more enjoyable (10/10 for this dish!!)“

“Ordered on Grub Hub. Their wings (5 total pieces) were really tasty. Steamed dumplings (4 total pieces with no meat) were decent – they were a bit bready. I was pleasantly surprised with the portions of the Pad Kee Mao and Orange Chicken though! The Orange chicken was too orangey. The Pad Kee Mao (with chicken) was good and had a nice amount of veggies.“

“First time here and had an amazing experience. The food was amazing and delicious. Papaya Salad: I always order this dish when I hit up any Thai restaurant and this place did not disappoint me. The salad was well marinated and well-balanced with the flavors. Corn Salad: I have always heard about corn salad, but never had the chance to try it until this time. AND I absolutely love it! The flavor is very similar/same to the papaya salad, and it does come with some papayas within it! I would definitely order this again in the future. And I love how they used fresh large shrimps instead of dried shrimps (used in the papaya salad). Pork Liver Salad: I'm not a big meat person, but this dish was recommended by my Thai friend. This dish is not bad, I actually enjoyed it and it's definitely worth trying! If you are not afraid of trying new dishes then I think this is definitely with the try! It has a sour taste and is well-balanced with the kick from the onions that it comes with. Pork Shoulder: I have tried better pork shoulder in another Thai restaurant. This dish was a bit oily, so I'm not a huge fan of it, but the rest of my friends did. So, if you are a fan of meat then it is still worth ordering. Spicy Basil: This is my friend's favorite dish and she loved it! She enjoyed this dish so much! Seafood Po Tak Hot Pot: This is very similar to Tom Yum soup but with basil added to it. I love seafood, but the amount of seafood and the variety of seafood included is limited. I have tried better ones, so this can be a skip. But overall the flavor is still nice and enjoyable, just wish it had included more seafoods. Seafood Sukiyaki: I was really surprised by the flavor, amount and the seafood of this dish. The flavor of this dish was amazing. Even though this was ordered at the end, we still managed to finish it. Sticky Rice: if you never had sticky rice then I suggest you trying stick rice over jasmine rice. I thought Thai sticky rice is similar to glutinous rice, but I was wrong. It is actually jasmine rice soaked in water overnight and then steamed. It is definitely worth ordering instead of the ordinary jasmine rice. Overall, the food was authentic and amazing. I'm actually shocked to see not much pictures posted. This restaurant is definitely worth an in-person visit, the restaurant itself got an amazing and coming design. The service was outstanding as well. Also, the price is very reasonable and affordable.“
