The owner was there & gave us 20% off since it was our first time coming which I really appreciate because our total went from $80 to $64. He also gave us two free drinks. He also gave us a bunch of sauces free of charge. The food was delicious & very filling! It was quite literally the best hibachi take out i’ve ever had. I love that the restaurant is black owned but he has asian/chinese people in the kitchen. It really adds to the authenticity of it being an hibachi/ asian cuisine restaurant. Everyone was so friendly & welcoming. You can tell this establishment’s top priority is good customer service & serving good fresh food. The type of treatment we got was the kind that continuous/returning customers get even though it was only our first time. “We went in on a whim. My kids really wanted to have ice cream at Dairy Queen next door for lunch, lol, but we decided they should actually eat some food. We had never been there, but will definitely be back! It was So good! We had Teriyaki chicken, chicken chow mein, or maybe they were lo mein noodles, and 2 kinds of egg rolls. It was all not only delicious, but different than anywhere else. Those egg rolls were maybe the best we’ve ever had. Even my picky eater kids liked it all! Plus, the staff were extremely nice and genuinely glad that we stopped in. A must try for sure.“

I got the Beef Bulgogi and the KFC and I am at odds with myself in choosing a winner between the two. I am 100% coming back to try the Tomago and Tonkatsu! The pièce de résistance was the Ube and strawberry dessert sandwich, it blew me away. However, what made this a 5 star experience in earnest was our server Calvin, he gave us so much knowledge and made us feel very comfy and welcome ? he is a G and I look forward to coming back to tell him how I feel about the rest of the menu!!!“

“We tried shio and shoyu ramen, both were great based on your preference. I personally love beef broth ramen, which is rare to find in Chicago. Definitely would go back to try miso broth too. The soup was not too salty like most ramen shops, and the noodles were thin and still al dente, which is quite impressive. The portion size was perfect. I'm not a fan of the backless counter chairs. We went late afternoon on Saturday and the place was nearly full at an odd hour.“

“The people that work at this locationj are very professional, Isee them put wash their hands &put on a fresh pair of gloves after they finish a transaction. They also serve a decent amount of food.

I love that when I go there they have everything fresh and everything is in stock and if there’s a waiting time, it’s not more than 10 minutes and the cookies are amazing for dessert. I love that the food is gluten-free even the cookie!
The price is just right for lunch or dinner!

“I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.“

It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. However, I found that they tend to put too much sauce on everything, which can be a bit overwhelming. While the ingredients and overall taste were good, the excessive sauce detracted from the experience. If they could dial back on the sauce, it would make for a much more balanced and enjoyable meal.“

We enjoyed our order but it was just cold when arrived . I think they should use ‘insulated ‘ carrier for delivery. Also for delivery you SHOULD ASK for your sauces on the side . The fried chicken bao buns was amazing! The chicken katsu -crispy how I like but a little dry on inside. The Bulgogi fries was AMAZING! Tteokbokki was flavorful , but they forgot the 2 potstickers that comes with that order.
Over all we enjoyed . It think portion size a little small for pricing but I know sometimes places vary in portion eat in & takeout.
