She knows what she is doing, and despite the fact that we had a lot to get setup that we designed ourselves (so we didn't have a vendor dedicated to getting our centerpieces and such setup), they did it perfectly and we were blown away when we walked in.

Beef was my fave, real savory, but the spinach one felt a little light on flavor. Service was chill, not super fast but friendly. Vibe’s laid-back, good spot if you’re in the neighborhood. Spent about $22 for 3 empanadas + sauce + a soda.“

“We are so thrilled that we chose to go with Food for Thought for our August wedding! We got married at the Chicago Cultural Center, and while the venue has a number of preferred caterers, FFT was the one on that list that stood out to us. From the first phone call to the final calls and emails, they were so easy to communicate and plan with. Many of our guests said that this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and we agree we them! The hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and custom drinks were all so delicious; everything turned out perfectly.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kacilynn, who was the one responsible for planning, organizing, and executing everything for us. When we met her for the tasting, she happily answered all of our questions and was just so fun to talk and work with. I had countless questions and updates throughout the planning process, especially in the final weeks, and she was responsive to everything.
One special thing she helped with was the champagne flutes; I had thrifted, cleaned, and packed over 100 champagne flutes for guests to use and take home, and I had been nervous this would be a burden to them to deal with, but she assured me that it could be done. She took the time to help me decide on a display option for them, and her team cleaned them before and after the event and packed away any leftover flutes. Her attention to detail and her ability to pull everything together seamlessly is truly unmatched.
We are beyond grateful to Kacilynn, her team, and everyone else at Food for Thought for making the food and drinks a true highlight of our wedding!“

“After trying Hortiport for a couple of weeks I can say that, compared to the other grocery delivery services, Hortiport eliminates the untrained ‘middle man’. This guarantees your box of goodness will be the freshest and most eye-pleasing, as if you hand selected them yourself! I also appreciated the well curated selection of foodie items from local vendors. (One of whom, coincidentally, is based just 2 blocks from my home!) Helping local farmers and small producers is a ‘feel good’ for me and don’t we all need more of that these days?!“

“It’s about time Chicago gets solid West African cuisine. Dozzy didn’t disappoint. Had the Designer Jollof Rice Bowl and it was delicious. I combined it with a couple orders of the shrimp suya sticks which put it over the top. Now, I loved the jollof, but that’s to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the shrimp. I can honestly say it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The herbs were perfect and it was grilled just the way I like it. I’ve known Dozzy for a long time and I’m so happy he’s sharing his gift to the world. Y’all get some.“

“If I could give more stars, I would. Over the last couple years I have used many food delivery services, Hello Fresh, Freshly, Cook Unity, and now Wholsesome 360. The difference, QUALITY!!! Fresh ingredients, no fillers, high quality oils and fats, nice portions. Not that the other services are bad, but I compare them to frozen entrees at the grocery store, but taste a bit better. My Wholesome 360 entrees were restaurant quality, but with farm to table fresh ingredients-I could literally taste each of the food elements. If you are considering a food delivery service, I recommend paying the extra dollar per meal to get local fresh meals that are good for you, that heal you.“

Not only is their menu extensive and their food incredible, they really care about their community, the service is amazing and they always do whatever they can to help you out. But most importantly, their food is top notch. There isn't anywhere I know of that makes such delicious, fresh tasting Thai food, and I'm so lucky to have it in my neighborhood. You really owe it to yourself to visit.“

“I was a little hesitant about ordering a vegan sandwich here because I’m not vegan so ordered the egg sandwich with sriracha bacon. My friend ordered the vegan so I could have a taste. The sandwich arrived on a large baguette which they bake fresh daily, actually all their bread is freshly baked. It was amazing and the egg was perfectly cooked. The sriracha bacon gave the sandwich a slight kick and so tasty. I took a bite of a half of the vegan sandwich and just froze. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. The sandwich is made on fresh toasted rye bread. I ended up devouring the whole half and had to finish my egg sandwich because I couldn’t put it down. Then I went for the hat trick. A vegan ice cream sandwich, vegan peanut butter ice cream between two rich vegan chocolate cookies. The best part is you can’t beat the price. It’s a casual place with a take out window due to COVID. I believe they may be back to indoor dining when the weather changes. However, they do have nice outdoor tables to sit at and enjoy. But if you are ever in Logan Square , be sure to check it out. They have amazing home baked pastries, cookies, and do much more. Even better, the staff at the window are fun, energetic and friendly. Be sure to ask them for recommendations. They are extremely helpful.“
