“Very clean place, no frills neighborhood bar.
The place needs to at least have a sign that says firehouse! It just looks like a plain white house, my friends have had a hard time trying to find it.
At least paint a "Firehouse with fire trucks" or even better do huge flames 🔥 to make it stand out. It always looks like it is closed, empty and uninviting.“

“There is nothing about this place I don't recommend. The meads are amazing, their Cocktail Master is amazing at coming up with unusual combinations, and is great fun to talk to. The music mix is great as well (but possibly because I'm old 😁)! Overall, the place is extremely welcoming, with a selection of games and sofas so you can sit and enjoy your drinks and socialize.“

“My husband just brought home food from Fogcutter, and as usual the food is amazing!! the pizza is my favorite in all of Lake County. I literally day dream about those garlic green beans. “Since its transformation into Taylor’s on Toft, this bar has established itself as one of Antioch’s most polished and welcoming drinking destinations. The owner—often found behind the bar—sets the tone with a warm, personable presence that immediately makes guests feel at ease. Her cocktail craftsmanship is equally impressive: the Manhattan is exemplary, balanced and precise, while the martinis are consistently excellent, executed with confidence and restraint. The ambiance strikes an ideal note—refined yet relaxed—making it a natural choice for a pre-dinner aperitif or a lingering post-meal nightcap. During a recent visit, a live singing group added a festive touch, infusing the space with genuine Christmas cheer without overwhelming the intimate atmosphere. While we have not yet sampled the food, dishes arriving at neighboring tables are beautifully presented and look enticing, suggesting the bar program is thoughtfully complemented by the kitchen. Taylor’s on Toft is a standout in Antioch: a place defined by gracious hospitality, expertly made cocktails, and an atmosphere that invites return visits. Highly recommended.“

“Chicken strips were crunchy and juicy cooked to absolute perfection. I also ordered fries with cheese sauce and got an extra order for free with an order a wings . Was probably a mistake and I hope the other people that ordered them got theirs too because it’s freaking amazing. I could bath in this cheese sauce. If I had teeth I’d use it as tooth paste. 10/10 would recommend.“

Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres followed by a beautifully paced five-course dinner, complete with honey-inspired cocktails (using our own honey!) and a honey mustard salad dressing the chef created just for us. Also got to see local celebrity Karina Borelli ( IG:borelli.karina) but couldn't get close enough to get an autograph. Next time I back in town I will definitely stop bye.“

“While visiting family over Christmas, our group walked across the street to Charlie's because we noticed a lot of people going there. The place was packed with friendly, happy people. There was only one bartender and she hustled with intention, a smile and a great sense of humor. We played darts most of the time, but I couldn't help but notice the atmosphere. This is a family of different personalities- 6 gaming machines-- Friday night pool games- yes we may be "ran down" compared to some but we make up for our cosmetic shortcomings with spicy and unique bartenders and regulars! I ask you to just give the Tap-less a chance! Come in on Mondays for 1$ domestic cans 11a- 11p (open until 1am on mondays) also on Fridays we have $2.50 imports open- 9pm! Come watch some of our family play pool!“

“We had drinks and dinner at Mundelein restaurant on Saturday 10/5/24. We didn’t have reservations so we ate at the bar. It was all excellent! Friendly staff and the bartender made an excellent Margarita! Will be going back“
