“The food and staff at 54th St in Glen Carbon are great but I REALLY HATE how after the remodel they can’t open the patio doors. What is the point of even saying you have a patio when it is all closed up.“

“Great little place we visited on a whim from out of town to meet a friend.

We were seated politely in the back area with lots of patio umbrellas on a nice deck porch.

We had lunch, but it looks like they have live music and a really great atmosphere for the evenings for anyone looking for a great place to chill with friends and a very relaxed atmosphere outdoors.

The bacon popcorn was really great. I had a chicken sandwich that was pretty good (maybe the chicken was a tiny dry) and my husband really loved his Cuban sandwich.

I would definitely try this place again on a Sunday afternoon

“I won’t say I don’t recommend as we’ve been there a couple times before and had a great experience! Last night neither of us enjoyed what we ordered, our fault, we both went against what we were going to originally order….we ate it, it’s fine, you live and learn. Our waitress is what left a bad taste. It’s like she instantly had something in her head about us or we weren’t one of her regulars that she had to cater to as she was sitting, laughing and chatting with those around us. Not friendly, short answers and would set our drinks down after being told thank you and just walk away. The only time there was even a hint of friendliness is when it came time to pay.“

“If you like local dive bars and pizza this is the place to go. Their pizza is the bomb ? The staff is friendly and most of the regulars are too. Lol. They also have an AMI jukebox, an ATM machine, several TV screens to watch sports games, and video gambling machines. They have a back patio with seating for smokers and they usually have heat out back when they remember to refill the propane tanks. It’s usually just one bartender waiting on everyone and making the pizzas in their pizza oven. Drink a cold one and enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. ??“

“7 of us gathered from Illinois, Florida and Missouri for lunch. From the minute we stepped in the front door and were greeted. We felt special and like family. Such welcoming, friendly staff. Service was great. Food outstanding. The atmosphere was perfect for allowing us to reunite and catch up on lost time.“

“Great crew working there. The food was great as was service. I was there on opening night and the old building was still airing out so that hurt them on my score. What saved them is the fact I went back and it was aired out.

“My husband & I went there for the first time to celebrate our 37th anniversary, the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a wonderful experience! The bartenders were very friendly, knowledgeable and made great recommendations! Our steak dinner was outstanding, super flavorful, tender and juicy, oh and huge, we both had generous leftovers! We got to meet one of the owners, Bernard, he was awesome. He spent a lot of time with us, sharing his knowledge of whiskeys and food! I highly recommend this place, we will definitely be going back!“

My favorites are the meatball sub, sub on a club no mayo or mustard add ranch, and the hook and ladder. My dad was a line cook for many years and claimed the Reuben sandwich was even better than he used to make it. Haven't had a bad thing on the menu, and the servers are personable.“

The food, wait staff and jukebox is what brings us back. Was there today with my son who’s disabled. He hates getting out of the house, but loves the jukebox. “My son and daughter in law’s wedding was May of 2022. I am not one to normally write a review but I find myself still thinking about the awesome food and service from Uncle Linny’s. We used them for both the rehearsal dinner and reception and could not have been more pleased. The carrot cake and Italian cakes are superb along with the dinner food that was chosen for both meals. Very nice to work with before and during events. Cleaned up well after dinners and had remaining food all together for take home. I would like to thank and highly recommend them! “Had a damn good time. Stopped in Saturday after spending the day at the racetrack outside of town to watch the Alabama / Georgia game, and we decided to try a bunch of their wings and drinks. The wings were awesome and perfectly fried, and all of the sauces we tried were delicious. I had plans to try other things on the menu while we were there, but 30 wings later, and I never made it any further. It's definitely a nice spot, and I see why all of the locals like it.“
