“Tried Hangry Joe’s in Glendale Heights for takeout and everything was delicious. We ordered the Sando burger, chicken fingers, wings, loaded mac & cheese, and fries, medium spicy across the board. The spice level was perfect with unique, flavorful seasoning. The chicken was big, juicy, and cooked perfectly. Kids loved the mac & cheese, fingers, wings, and fries. We went around 3 PM, enjoyed great hospitality, a nice ambience, and even caught a cricket match on their huge screen. Plenty of parking and a great location. With so many fast-food options nearby, Hangry Joe’s really stands out. Will definitely be back, next time going spicier on the Sando! 🌶️🍔“

Everything is fresh and cooked to order, which you can really taste. The chicken came out hot, juicy, and perfectly grilled with that nice char flavor you want from peri-peri. Nothing felt pre-made or sitting around — they clearly make it when you order.
The service was fast and super friendly too. Staff was welcoming, helpful with recommendations, and kept things moving quickly even during busy time.
The real stars though are the sauces:
• 🌶️ Medium spicy peri-peri sauce – perfect heat level with tons of flavor
• 🧄 Garlic sauce – creamy, rich, and absolutely addictive
Get both on the side — trust me, you’ll want extra for dipping everything.

“I'll say service is slow but for a good reason. Once younplace your order it's a wait but the food was delicious. The kids got corn dogs and cheese fries they enjoyed. The wife and I got a beef fried rice and garlic honey wings both amazing ... I'd come back definitely.“

“I go out of my way to come to this location whenever I'm traveling through the Chicago area. I especially enjoyed the corn fritters and their coleslaw, made with a vinegar base. I have been eating at White Fence Farm for over fifty years and I don't miss it when I have an opportunity to stop for an excellent meal!“

“Amazingly good chicken strips. A simple lunch special of 3 strips, a side and a Grape Crush. Freshly made, hot, and tasted like chicken. The breading was unobtrusive, letting the chicken do the talking. Mashed potatoes were good, the gravy wasn't salty as some chicken joints are. Biscuit rocked. Plus a gambling area and beer. If they are consistently like this, it's a sure winner.“

“We stopped in during a very busy time and the staff was clearly working hard to keep up. One of the employees kept apologizing because our broccoli salad was forgotten, but we completely understood how busy it was. The manager came out and kindly gave us a couple of free scoops for our next visit just for being patient, which was so thoughtful. It’s always great to see managers who are attentive and supportive of their team. We’ll definitely be back!“

“This little Browns Chicken has the Best people running it. Great customer service is what makes it Special. We drive across town just because of the way we are treated thru the drive through. “It was super busy, but the table service was really fast & staff even came around to see if we had everything and later took our trash. It was very pleasant & the kids loved the play area.

“Tried wick’s chicken for first time today. The chicken is fried to perfection with a light breading that stayed crispy even with the commute back to work. The wick’s ghost sauce has a good heat and flavor. Will be back.“
“YUMMY! I love wings and trying out new places. I thought I would give OMC a chance because their mascot is so cute! The wings were juicy and crunchy. Great sauce options to choose from, traditional options as well as some unfamiliar to me like peach habanero! My husband tried the chicken sandwich with slaw, delicious. “BB.Q has some of the crispiest, crunchiest, juiciest chicken I've had. Top notch. Dine in when you can for a fresher experience, but carry out isn't a bad option either. Incredible that they can slather these things in sauce and they are still crispy and delicious.“

“Atmosphere? It's fast food kitsch. Serves the purpose. Great smells inside. The food never fails. By far the best fast fried chicken available. I particularly liked the Mac & cheese side. This is one of the nicer locations I've been to. Pleasant prompt service.“

“Very Exciting News!!!
For the last several years when my daughter and I have gone to visit our family in Georgia they introduced us to this cute little restaurant called Chicken Salad Chick. After the 1st time it quickly became a favorite of ours, so every time we visit our family they know that we will be going to Chicken Salad Chick at least 2-3 times each visit.
Prior to 2021 we never even knew such a place existed.
It’s such a great meal, very light & flavorful, you just can’t go wrong with anything.
My daughter and I live in IL, so I have been checking the website to see if there was any chance that they would be opening any in our area.
I did find a few in Illinois, but they were all pretty far south from where I live, outside of Chicago.
The other day I happened to check the website again & I was thrilled to see that one recently opened in Glen Ellyn, IL.
I contacted my daughter immediately and we went the next day.
Not only was everything delicious as usual, but we had an overall wonderful experience.
The store was exceptionally clean.
Sonia, the general manager on staff, was very kind and welcoming.
The entire staff that was working there were all very friendly.
We love the menu, but the Grape Salad is our absolute favorite 💕
Glen Ellyn is still about a 40-minute drive for us if the traffic cooperates, but absolutely worth it.
The only thing I would love to see is a location open closer to the Schaumburg area!
Thank you to the franchise owners for taking a chance and opening up a couple in IL, we wish you much success and continued growth and expansion.
For anyone that has not been to a Chicken Salad Chick Restaurant, I would highly recommend.
Each chicken salad is so flavorful, they also have unique sides & yummy desserts.
Many gluten free options as well.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars
