“We had two toasts (Mexican and Greek), one turkey blt wrap, one matcha and one americano. Toasts had rich flavors, especially the Mexican. Coffee is good. Service was fast and friendly. It was crowded when we arrived at 2 pm but still no wait to order and food came quickly. Seemed to me like mostly locals. Nice atmosphere with good people watching.“

“This was my first time in Glencoe to watch a show at Writer’s Theater, and I stopped by this place for a meal before the show. It seems to be the only Chinese restaurant in the entire town and also one of the few places both open at night and relatively affordable.

My friend and I ordered the Walnut Shrimp Special and Sauteed Green Beans. We were told it would take 30 minutes, so we sat inside to wait, and the food came out right on time and piping hot. You can’t dine in the restaurant though, as they don’t have a dining license.

9 times out of 10, Chinese takeout will always hit for me, and Shanghai Garden was no exception. The green beans were flavorful and well-sauteed. The walnut shrimp had a nice crispy texture, tangy taste, and also came with broccoli and crispy noodle pieces.

The portions are large for the price and they also included a large box of rice with our order. For just $15 per person, we had a good amount of leftovers. Overall great value, tasty food, generous portions, friendly service— I would love to return if I’m in the area again!

“Bluegrass Restaurant is a wonderful, family-owned restaurant. We have been ordering takeout and eating in since we came to Highland Park three years ago. The owners take pride in managing the restaurant on a daily basis. They prioritize customer service, great food, and a warm, welcoming experience. Last night, they hosted the Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms group. We had only expected 15 women to attend, but 25 women ended up coming. The owners and the staff were AMAZING. They brought over additional chairs. They provided us with top-notch service, including separate checks. They respected us when we were speaking to the group and quietly took orders in the background. I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant.“

“Unassuming little place. The food is ok. The broken rice with beef was pretty good. The doing rolls were hard since the skin dried out .

The sauces are just a bit off but ingredients were fresh.

“Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“After checking into a local hotel quite late (9:30 pm) after missing a connecting flight at O’Hare, we were looking for a place for dinner that we could walk to, was open and wasn’t fast food. Funbeerking was perfect and…fun! They are open until 1 am on weeknights. It’s apparently a traditional Korean gastro pub, maybe even a chain from Korea. The food was terrific - we had the K-spiced boneless chicken and the bulgogi pizza on pastry crust and both were super yummy. The service was also attentive and nice and they had K-pop videos playing on a big screen throughout. Very very fun and highly recommended!“

“We have come to Pasta D'Arte several times and it is definitely our favorite Italian restaurant in the USA! We love the grilled calamari appetizer. As for the main courses, we love all the seafood pasta entrees. The staff are always very friendly and attentive. Also, they make a great gin martini!“

A couple of minor points: the biryani would benefit from a saalna or gravy accompaniment, and the masala coating on the tava fish fry felt slightly thick or caked on. Otherwise, enjoyable meal.“

“Made a delivery and the owners had been notified by my employer that it was my birthday. They put together a margarita to go for me and I can honestly say I’ve never had a better one. And the owners were extremely kind even though I was running late.“

“If someone were to ask me what is Dos Bros like,I would say that it is similar in concept to Chipolte, but better and a little bit cheaper. I live in Nashville where don't have any locations. I am hoping they will open here soon. The locations in Jackson and Shelbyville were clean with pleasant staff and excellent service. Highly recommend. “Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. “Love this place. I've been here a few times. The hot chicken sandwich, nachos, and fries are always great. This most recent visit I tried a double smashburger with smash peppers, spicy chopped cheese, and onion rings. The burger was probably the best smashburger I ever had, the beef and bun tasted really fresh, burger patties were crispy and seasoned, and the sauce went really well with it. The chopped cheese was really good, and onion rings were crispy, hot, and seasoned. Highly recommend this place. Everything I've had there is good.“

“Great atmosphere, very festive. The server was so nice and helpful with suggestions for our meal. She kept checking in on us throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed.

The fried pickles with their dipping sauce were a fun surprise, really good.

Also, I enjoyed the Burrata pizza. Although it tastes great on it's own it could have used a balsamic glaze to sweeten it a bit. My friend opted for the Kimchi fries (slightly spicy) and the fruit pizza. It looked like a healthy summer salad, covered in feta and fruit, and was told it was pretty good.

Parking was a bit of a struggle. We found street parking behind the location in a residential street.

What we found was a great place that had outdoor seating on a deck patio with umbrellas and a TV set to watch sporting events. The service was friendly, and the food was great. The drinks were very reasonable. The menu was large having everything from sandwiches to dinners. We never had a bad experience there and brought family and friends to enjoy the evening sitting outside. We always come back.“

“This is my new barbecue go-to in Niles. I live close to here, and it is so easy to just come over and have a drink. They host some events, including live music and a book fair. It is a great place to have a party, and just plain have fun. I personally recommend the brisket. The fries here are something to crave. It is in kind of an industrial area. But the brewery has an industrial vibe. I totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a bar/bbq kind of place.“

“First time eating at Greenwood. The food was very good. We ordered calamari, which tasted unique in a good way, with the chopped marinated veggies. The beef filet was melt in your mouth tender. The only complaint is it was too salty. Brussels sprouts were also delicious.

The old fashion and manhattan were well made. It was a nice touch that the waiter asked us what bourbon or whiskey we wanted them made with.

We reserved in the dining room and the hostess could not find our reservation. We offered to show it to her, and she said no need , then put us at the very corner of the patio which was noisy, with uncomfortable chairs. For the first 15 min there was no one on the patio of in the restaurant. We couldn’t hear each other over the street traffic.
