“I had a fantastic experience at this cozy cafe, thanks to Vlad, who truly made my visit special. From the moment I walked in, his warm and friendly demeanor set the tone for a great time. He recommended a pastry that I wouldn’t have thought to try, and it was absolutely amazing! The perfect balance of flavors and textures, it was fresh, delicious, and the ideal complement to my coffee. “This was my first time in Glencoe to watch a show at Writer’s Theater, and I stopped by this place for a meal before the show. It seems to be the only Chinese restaurant in the entire town and also one of the few places both open at night and relatively affordable.

My friend and I ordered the Walnut Shrimp Special and Sauteed Green Beans. We were told it would take 30 minutes, so we sat inside to wait, and the food came out right on time and piping hot. You can’t dine in the restaurant though, as they don’t have a dining license.

9 times out of 10, Chinese takeout will always hit for me, and Shanghai Garden was no exception. The green beans were flavorful and well-sauteed. The walnut shrimp had a nice crispy texture, tangy taste, and also came with broccoli and crispy noodle pieces.

The portions are large for the price and they also included a large box of rice with our order. For just $15 per person, we had a good amount of leftovers. Overall great value, tasty food, generous portions, friendly service— I would love to return if I’m in the area again!

“Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“The pho broth, meat, and toppings were very generous and delicious. One issue was I ordered the chicken pho but found chunks of beef intestine and quail egg (?) in my soup, and my friend did too. Very odd. Service was very quick though and the restaurant was quite busy. I had bun bo hue at an earlier date and that was also very authentic and tasty.!“

For example, it would be helpful if they brought water to the table right away, rather than guests having to ask for it. “If someone were to ask me what is Dos Bros like,I would say that it is similar in concept to Chipolte, but better and a little bit cheaper. I live in Nashville where don't have any locations. I am hoping they will open here soon. The locations in Jackson and Shelbyville were clean with pleasant staff and excellent service. Highly recommend. This most recent visit I tried a double smashburger with smash peppers, spicy chopped cheese, and onion rings. The burger was probably the best smashburger I ever had, the beef and bun tasted really fresh, burger patties were crispy and seasoned, and the sauce went really well with it. The chopped cheese was really good, and onion rings were crispy, hot, and seasoned. Highly recommend this place. Everything I've had there is good.“

“I’ve been going to Minellis for years, they have the best Italian sausage, and great quality meats in general. Their homemade sauces are amazing! They also have a great Italian sub! Try them you won’t be disappointed 😊“

“First time eating at Greenwood. The food was very good. We ordered calamari, which tasted unique in a good way, with the chopped marinated veggies. The beef filet was melt in your mouth tender. The only complaint is it was too salty. Brussels sprouts were also delicious.

The old fashion and manhattan were well made. It was a nice touch that the waiter asked us what bourbon or whiskey we wanted them made with.

We reserved in the dining room and the hostess could not find our reservation. We offered to show it to her, and she said no need , then put us at the very corner of the patio which was noisy, with uncomfortable chairs. For the first 15 min there was no one on the patio of in the restaurant. We couldn’t hear each other over the street traffic.

The fried pickles with their dipping sauce were a fun surprise, really good.

Also, I enjoyed the Burrata pizza. Although it tastes great on it's own it could have used a balsamic glaze to sweeten it a bit. My friend opted for the Kimchi fries (slightly spicy) and the fruit pizza. It looked like a healthy summer salad, covered in feta and fruit, and was told it was pretty good.

Parking was a bit of a struggle. We found street parking behind the location in a residential street.

Octopus and salmon Sashimi were the dessert orders from our kids 😂 We will definetly be returning, and highly recommend.
