“Love, love, loved this place. Outstanding food with a lot of variety on the menu which seems to rotate in new dishes with some standards. Excellent, friendly service. Great neighborhood atmosphere. Burrito is a must, pulpo was cooked perfectly, and the flan. My goodness, the flan... Will be back. Again and again. Street parking available. Reservations recommended.“
“Nice place not a wow. Food was good, served quickly. Latin music over the speakers, asked to be turned down. It was right off of I-94 as it turns east toward Chicago. Traffic was busy, so we ate and had better traffic after.Parking: parked right in front“
“An amazing hidden gem in the heart of Albany Park! There are few Colombian restaurants in Chicago, but this one competes to be on the top. The arroz paisa is a pleasure if you are a meat lover. The arepas are huge and delicious. Portions are what you pay for. Bring an appetite!“
“I found out I had to host Christmas days before the 25th. I can't describe how friendly, helpful and extremely serviceable they were with me placing a catering order only 2 days from Christmas. Since I needed for the 25th, they opened specifically for my order.....Wow!! The service was phenomenal the food was exceptional!! Truly blessed to have them in the neighborhood! Puerto Rican rice, tostones. lechon, ham and potato salad enough for the entire family (25 people) with left overs for the next day. Thank you doesn't seem enough for the owners. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and service. BTW......pistachio coquito......amazing!!!“
“This place is in general a really, really awesome place. The service is insanely swift, they get your food out real quick. The atmosphere is top notch, may not be the biggest but the decor and feel is just really cool. The food of course, is also next level. They have such a unique array of food, subs, bowls, shawarma, tacos, subs, gyros, and a bunch more. The food was really well made and fresh, and of course pretty tasty. I would most definitely recommend checking it out.Dietary restrictions: Halal! ?“
“My first time trying this spot as I don't live anywhere near it. Referred by a friend and so happy we followed that direction. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Food had amazing flavors with a bit of spice on the back end. Our waitress DeAnna was lovely and walked us through the menu and specials with great detail. We loved all she recommended.“
“This was THE BEST Latin American food fusion I have ever experienced! Everything we ordered was not only delicious, but just as attractive in presentation. Also, the staff was so attentive and engaging. We had the honor of being introduced to the chef and shared how pleased we were with his culinary selections. Don’t pass on the drinks, especially the Pina Colada shots, for they were the perfect compliment to each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic ambience, friendly staff and mesmerizing menu.“
“Food was delish, felt super rushed by our waitress who kept constantly appearing to take our order while the ladies hadn’t reviewed menu or were trying to catch up. I did enjoy a cocktail at the bar solo and had a nice chat with the young bartender. Overall a little noisy. But good experience overall.“
“Food was delicious, very well seasoned. Service was nice, owners checked on you.Atmosphere had good vibes.Ordered Steak Jibarito, Skirt steak dinner (added shrimp) which was a little salty.& apps such as chicken & beef empanadas. Everything was good especially the empanadas, black beans and white rice. They also make cocktails.“
“I dined here with a buddy of mine last week. The food was great and the quality was amazing! Nice cuts of steak. Also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was very welcoming and responsive to our needs. The lady who served us also had a cool personality and making sure we had everything we needed. The service is just as important as the food and they did very well so thank you so much!“
“Amazing Honduran food! We've passed by this place many times, thinking it was solely a private event space. But we stopped by for dinner on the patio today and it was incredible. The quesabirria tacos were super rich and the refried beans that came on the side had a unique and delicious flavor. The fried chicken and plantain dish, which is one of their specialties, was both new to us and also soo good. Manny was the best waiter with the perfect recommendations, and his mom was super sweet (even though she was a little shy ?). Patio was peaceful, verdant and comfortable. We will be back soon!“
“In our stay in Chicago this was our place to go, we searched restaurants days before our flight from NJ and we don’t regret it at all. Cafe con Leche was amazing from top to bottom, excellent service and absolutely delicious food, the staff very caring and accommodating. I have no doubt that I’ll come back if I visit Chicago again. Highly recommended!“
“Porkito is such a great addition to the neighborhood! Finally something different AND delicious. After seeing the restaurants post that was shared in our Community Facebook page, we decided to give this place a try! As a family who does not eat out often, we typically stick to what we know but couldn't pass up the opportunity to try something new. We decided to get takeout and went with two orders of the sliders with all different options so that we could try [almost] the entire menu of sandwich options in one fell swoop. The only two flavors we have not tried yet are the Cubano and the Big Green but out of what we had, there was not one that we did not like! Our personal favorites were the Hawaiian and Buffy with the Sauzee and Jammy following close behind. We also got our kiddos the Tater tots which were perfectly crisp and flavorful and for ourselves, the loaded tots. Everything was delicious with no complaints! Fortunately, us straying away from the regular few places we frequent was a success and we will happily add Porkito to that very small list. We plan to actually eat in the restaurant sometime soon so that we can try it fresh and have the full experience without the delay of driving it home and letting things sit for too long... But even still.. We really enjoyed everything!“
“Brazilian bowl is the place to eat, if your in chicago dona luz is the best, she's all smiles and gave us free Brazilian cheese bread.Parking: There's parking everywhereWheelchair accessibility: They have a sidewalk that's wheelchair friendly, no steps, all flat ground, big restroom if you need assistance.“
“They hook it up with the bowls!!! Can feed me for at least 2 meals, and all the ingredients are so fresh and flavorful. Obviously as everyone has already said, the arepas are delicious, I have also enjoyed thier tacos. Tip, I love to top my bowl with the arepa CHIPS and the pico that comes with it. Never dined in, but delivery is always speedy and everything arrives correct, neatly packaged and hot! I believe the owners moved here from New Orleans, and they have added such a fantastic and fun option to the roto. We literally order every week! These folks are clearly paying attention and care a whole lot about the high quality food they are serving to the community.Dietary restrictions: I believe their menu is largely gluten free.“
“La Humita catered my wedding at The Robey Hotel and provided the delicious and elevated Ecuadorian hors d'oeuvres of my dreams. Everyone was raving about how beautiful, delicious, filling and fresh the food was. They truly went above and beyond do meet my vision and I was so happy to I went with my gut and went with them.If you are looking for a delicious dinner at your wedding everyone will love, go with them.“
“Greetings to all Internet usersThe reason for this comment is to congratulate all the workers at the Mr. Pollo restaurant since I have been a customer for more than 12 years and I have always liked the flavor and quality of the chicken and the garnishes, but for some time now what I have Many businesses do is lower the quality when they already have customers and here, on the contrary, everything is richer and more delicious. I recommend it 120%.Congratulations (they have never given me a discount but it is cheap)“
“Tomate Fresh continues to be one of my favorite restaurants in Evanston. Considering prices and quality, few restaurants compare in my eyes. There's no in-house seating, but it's ready so fast and it's so delicious that there's no need to linger. (It's also across the street from a park for an easy picnic.) My favorite dishes include anything with their black beans and grilled cheese combination (not a grilled cheese sandwich, but just a glorious pile of crispy cheese). Make your day instantly better with a visit to Tomate! Thanks, Tomate. I love you.Vegetarian options: Tomate Fresh gives vegetarians a lot to consider! In either burrito, Taco, or gordita form, one can choose: tofu, black beans, sweet potato, yucca, spicy mushroom, or carmelized onion filling. There are also, on occasion, vegetarian empanadas and tamales. These veg options don't even consider the quesadilla options (like sweet potato or spicy mushroom) or the salads on their menu. It's a refreshing change from only having one or two veg options at a restaurant.“
“Fritada is delicious! I had to eat my plate in the car because the smell of the food was sooo good. This is my go to place for food after work. 100% would recommend and they are always so kind. Ma and Pa Location. They used to have a different location that my family would go to but they closed and moved. We didn't find the new address until last year and I'm never losing this spot again.“
“The food is always excellent here but we had not been in in a while. Last time was outdoor weather on the roof so sitting downstairs in the dining room feels a little tight. Took a bit to get our order in but food came quickly - we were too hungry to photograph most of it. The lomo saltado was my favorite, the steak cooked very tender, not salty tasting, just pure beef. The pictured lamb chops also very nicely done. We liked the octopus tinga on tostada, the eggplant toasts (montadito), and some empanadas as well.Menu prices are a little high even with food inflation.“
“Yesterday we were eating with my family and we loved everything; from the service of the two waitresses who attended to us very efficiently, explaining all the dishes and the difference between them. Making recommendations for dishes and appetizers. We also enjoyed some delicious passion fruit mojitos and some brandy sour. At the time of paying, they explained to us very clearly how the machine works to swipe the card and specify the tip if we wanted to leave it by card or in cash. On the other hand, the food was exquisite and on point. Excellent seasoning. And even though the restaurant was full, they allowed us to eat in peace but we also understood that we had to hurry a little to give them the table or other diners who wanted to dine there and were waiting for a table. I thank you for the excellent service, attention and food. We will be back soon. ?“
“I would eat more but stomach has a limit. I have been visiting this place for years and I have tried everyone the menu. Never disappointed. I always go for the churrasco and the carne asada. I recommend highly the chimichurri with extra lime. You'll be in heaven after that.“
“The food is very delicious and the prices are low compared to the quality of the food and surroundings. In service, if a little more attention is needed, I am referring to the spirits of the waitresses, they need like life or having a red bull before starting to work, the rest is very excellent!“
“If you're looking for Latin American food products like Goya, etc. this is the place to go on the north side. Also, the restaurant in back is great for Latin American dishes. Whether you like Cuban, Mexican or some other country, you can probably find the product you're looking for or the already prepared dish in the restaurant. I recommend“
“I'm from Louisville and we don't got any ecuadorian restaurants there so any time I go to Chicago I go here and since the day I was born they have never disappointed on my soul. This is the best ecuadorian restaurant u will ever find.“
“Tango Sur in Chicago is a hidden gem for Argentinian fare, particularly their steaks. The quality of the meat is superb – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The service is equally impressive, with attentive staff who go the extra mile to ensure a memorable dining experience. Overall, Tango Sur is a great choice for a special occasion or a night out with friends who appreciate good food. Just keep in mind that it's BYOB.“
“Great Ecuadorian food, I ordered a menestra con carne, bolon de verde mixto, empanadas y jugo de maracuyá. Small little place but waitress was pleasant and the food was pretty delicious. The aji was fire. The waitress recommended the chaulafan but I will have to try it next time.“
“So impressed with Juan, the owner, and his varied menu, foods and beverages. As well, he sells clothing and accessories and makes his own candles. He's a hard-working talented businessman. I hope his business continues to be successful.“
“We had tickets to a play at the American Blues Theater and chose BryAnna's for a pre-theater dinner because it is just a few doors down. It was a very inviting atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was friendly. Would definitely do this again!“
“Another small cozy spot in the area. Your regular American food with a little south American mixed in. Can't complain, used to go here when it was under another name and then another before that but a quick lunch or breakfast is what they will deliver on.“
“Here we truly find the flavor of our country. Friendly and effective service. Affordable prices today that everywhere they charge exaggeratedly. If you want to remember your country through gastronomy, this is the place! Recently the exquisite colada morada with its bread.“
“I came from Miami to a conference for work, so far this place has been the highlight of my trip !!! The flavor of the food is incredible, it brought me back to Ecuador!!! Words can’t not explain how good my meal was. I had guatita and caldo de pata con Quaker. Loved it !!!! Next time I’m back in Chicago this will be my to go place for sure !!!!! The staff amazing as well …“
“Wonderful food!!! I love it all!!! I especially like their tamales and flan!!! The owners are hands on, super guys ! They not only create amazing dishes but they give back to the community. Great food! Great hearts! Five stars! C”mon down and enjoy!“
