“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! I believe Sue & her establishment deserve a full 5-star review.“

“After seeing the review with Mr.Chimetime, I begged my husband to drive me almost 2 hours to this place, It was definitely a cool little spot. People were very friendly. But when it came to the food. Whew my feelings were hurt the brisket was flavorless and dry 😭 Nothing like what I saw in the review. Ribs were tender but i was not blown away by them, sides were the same as well. Maybe it was bad Timing but this was a big let down. Consistency is the key to a good restaurant. I will give them another chance, but I'm not in a rush to get there. I was wanting so much for this place to blow me away because I love food. And I was so excited to try them. 🥺“

“I always seem to get the Beef Brisket which is the best that I've ever had. The sides are delicious. The service was great and they seem to really care about our experience. We are always referring them to friends and others looking for Great BBQ.“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. Thanks again, Rico!“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 @sugarfiresmokehouse Alright, Lindsay, here, your vegetarian guide in the BBQ jungle of SugarFire Smokehouse in St. Louis. It's like a cat trying to write a review for a dog park. I get it. It makes no sense... but keep the faith 🙏 and keep reading 👇 First off, we get there and – bam – no ribs. The look on my husband's face? Imagine a St. Louis Blues fan watching their team miss an easy goal. Complete disbelief mixed with "Why, universe, why?" Then, the bread and pickles at the condiment station pulled a Houdini on us. Just gone. The restaurant decided not to refill them, which felt a bit like being left hanging for a high five. The brisket? Hubby says it was solid. The sauces, though, those were the stars of the show – St. Louis honey and hot were favorites. On the veggie front, the green beans were a nice surprise, like finding a $20 bill in your pocket. And the fried green tomatoes? Yum 😋 We had two girls with us, 12 and 13, and they were all in. It's tween-approved, so that's a win. The place had the vibe of a fun family BBQ, minus the awkward uncle jokes. The staff? Like the neighbors next door. Shouting across the driveway with a warm hello and conversational one-liners that make you laugh 😃 So there you have it, SugarFire Smokehouse gets a 4.5 from this cat in a dog park. 🌱🍖 #smokehouse #bbq #StLouis #mo #stlouismo #sugarfiresmokehouse #vegetarian“

“We came here for the snoots (pig nose grilled to a crisp and covered in bbq sauce).“The secret is in the sauce” is painted on the wall outside the restaurant, and I would agree this is the case! The tomato based bbq sauce is wonderfully tangy and also has a molasses like a quality with subtle hints of garlic, brown sugar, and onion. I do wish the pig snouts were cut into smaller pieces, as the large size can make them difficult to chew; some of the smaller pieces were absolutely perfect ?! I do recommend eating snoots fresh because once they get stale they can lose their characteristics crunchy quality“

“First time there the food was really good I got a double cheeseburger, my mom and her friend got a whole Jack plate too and it was really good they didn't really add no salt to the whole Jack plate though so, my son got a Philly cheese steak and he only ate half of it so wow and he can eat“

“I walked here from one of the nearby hotels. I arrived just before a slight dinner rush. I was very impressed that my meal (a brisket plate with 2 sides) was brought to my table 2 minutes after I ordered it. It took me longer to walk here than it took to get my food delivered to my table.
I watched as multiple groups came in after me. I saw that every guest also received their food quickly and the servers were attentive to their guests.
Once the facility became mostly full with customers, I appreciated that the environment did not become loud. Each table had guests participating in conversations at their tables. While there was moderate noise from the people, it never really appeared much louder than when I originally arrived.
I look forward to my next opportunity to visit this location.“

“Today was my 1st time ordering BBQ from any restaurant in Saint Louis. I'd been looking around for about a year. When I saw Reds, I knew that was the place. Right when I pulled in to the parking lot I could see the smoke coming out of the big barrel style BBQer and smell the was delicious! The staff was friendly and the BBQd Tips tasted as good as they smelled! Thanks Mr. Red, I will be back. ☺️“
“This was an experience to remember. The ribs, potato salad and j*** chicken were to die for. Then he hit me with the meatballs. My Lordt!!! I'm from New Orleans and was in need of flavor. Granny Boyz BBQ had me lickin all of my fingers....in the truck. I couldn't wait. ? Many blessings of prosperity and longevity to you all. Thanks again“
“Love Maull's, can't find it in Indiana so we have to take trips back to the St. Louis area from time to time to get it...“

“Went here for the snoot. Was the first customer on a Saturday at noon. Ordered the snoot and brisket combo. Both were hot and cooked perfectly. Snoot was crunchy but meaty and tasted fresh. Brisket tender and smoky. Sauce was great. Potato salad was actually good [everybody likes it different ways. :) ]. Portion was a little bigger than other bbq places I've been. Owners and Workers were so warm and friendly. Definitely a family/neighborhood shop type of atmosphere, just from observing the way the owners interact with all their guests. Can't wait to go back again.“
