“I was there for a few minutes. I’m not a drinker or someone you usually find at a bar but I love the hometown familiarity. Many people I grew up with were there. The owner is a fantastic, tough as nails, iconic type of woman. We need more business owners and entrepreneurs like her. I’ll write more when I have more to say! I believe Sue & her establishment deserve a full 5-star review.“

“Got the brisket with sweet potato fries and pickles. My friend got the ribs and corn. Both were good, very tender. The sauce was also really nice (I tried all four and we really liked the spicy one the most).
The lineup was long when we got there but it was pretty quick, I think we had a 20-30 minute wait so not too bad (I once waited for an hour at a different BBQ place).
Placed our orders and food came out pretty quickly. The staff was really nice and recommended the sides (was not disappointed).
The inside had plenty of seating and had cool decorations, I think newspaper clippings or some articles lined the walls.
Overall, had a good experience and would definitely come back.“

“We were in town (from the Twin Cities) for the 2025 President's Day Classic, and had Hogtown Smokehouse cater a team (and parents) dinner for 30 in our hotel. Rico was fantastic in helping us out. Quick to respond to calls and emails. Gracious, and just wonderful altogether... and that's just the service. The food? The empty pans, told the story. Brisket, Turkey and Pork for meats. Mac & cheese, potato salad and beans for sides. EVERYTHING was amazing! I never right reviews, but Rico and staff deserve this one. If you're reading this, don't hesitate to give them a try. Thanks again, Rico!“

“My husband and I were on an anniversary road trip from Tennessee and decided to come to St Louis to see the Arch way. We decided to eat at Ace’s Smokestaq for an early dinner! Antonio and his family are so amazing and the food was absolutely on point! We felt like family! “Best BBQ Brisket I ever ate! We got the 14lb box for Easter. Our family loved it! So convenient and easy. Such a great flavor and food was promptly delivered with a smile. “We just went for the first time tonight & hate we’ve missed out on going sooner! We are from Southern Indiana & it’s going to be hard to find anything to compare at home! Greg, Louis, and Eddie who were working the smoker when we left were so nice, told us all the ins and outs of the place, and truly take pride in their work. That pride is reflected in the delicious meal you’ll get! 10/10 recommend!“

“This is my second time getting some food from this facility. The first time the food was cooked to perfection but it wasn't seasoned. This time the food was fesh off the grill but not cooked all the way. I don't think there will be a third time.“

“Listen!!! I ordered the snoot sandwich!! Yeah buddy… it was really good!! It was just the right amount crunchy and the sauce was crazy good!! I do wish that it would have been chopped down into smaller chunks.. but that’s only because my fat self wanted to have a way to eat it faster.. lol… definitely will be going back.. I can’t wait to try the polish and/or ribs!!! 10/10“

“First time there the food was really good I got a double cheeseburger, my mom and her friend got a whole Jack plate too and it was really good they didn't really add no salt to the whole Jack plate though so, my son got a Philly cheese steak and he only ate half of it so wow and he can eat“

“A little too small for me, but I always still find myself going there ... ? The food has been famous for years, if you are down for a challenge, go there and order the big mama burger , it is the most massive thing that I have ever encountered, and it's always good! The atmosphere around the bar side , is always a dope vibe, if you are looking for a nostalgic good time, I suggest you go and place a visit.“

“Unique authentic St Louis smokehouse right across from Busch Stadium. Informal, casual, and generous portions. Had a full rack (dry rub) w/crispy kale salad and smoked bacon beans. Lots of great squeeze bottle sauces at the table. Delicious! Even the popover was perfect. Make you don't miss this place on your next visit to downtown STL.“

“Talk about delicious seriously the best pork steak I’ve ever had! Tender enough to cut with a plastic fork, yet it still held together in perfect bite sized pieces. Absolutey delicious melt-in-your-mouth good. Did I mention that macaroni 🤤“
