“Best BB.Q franchise for me. Gives the biggest peices, excellent saucing, and service.

For whatever reason many BB.Q Chicken locations only allow you to select only one flavor for a medium order. So if you want two different flavors you have to pay the higher charge to get two small sizes In different flavors. This location allows me to order two separate flavors for a medium order which saves me a headache, and a little money. I am willing to drive 5 minutes further to go to this location than the other 3 or so BB.Q locations that are slightly closer as a result. Keep up the good work guys!“

“I’m writing this because it’s honestly ridiculous to see people giving this place 1-star reviews just because they aren't open yet. They are still in the 'Opening Soon' phase!
​If you actually check before you drive over, you’ll see they haven’t even posted their hours yet because the doors aren't officially open. Giving a bad rating to a new business for that reason is just dumb and hurts our local halal spots for no reason.

“The quality of the meat here is truly exceptional—fresh, tender, and full of flavor. You can immediately tell they take pride in what they serve. The side dishes are just as impressive: everything is clean, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. They honestly remind me of my mom’s homemade cooking, which says a lot.
One of my absolute favorites here is the mul naengmyeon. The broth is incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the noodles have that ideal chewy texture. It’s easily the best naengmyeon I’ve had in Chicago—nothing else even comes close. Every visit here feels like a comforting, high-quality dining experience.“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! “We had an event at Nobel House on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was great and the food was out of this world. We had about 40 people and many told me how much they liked the food , atmosphere and service. Thanks to everyone there for making it great.“

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! The food was delicious, with a great mix of Pakistani and Indian veg and non-veg dishes. The place was clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

One suggestion: they take orders orally, which led to a mistake in our order. It would be better if they wrote orders down to avoid any confusion in the future.
