“Kong Dog is a unique take on a hot dog and very creative. We had the Cheetos and Potatoes half and half dog. Both were fresh, tasted good and had incredible cheese pull from the cheese portion. It is certainly a speciality kind of a place rather than a quick stop in for a "regular" meal however.“

“I've driven past this place so many times and I finally decided to try it out. Only carry-out and delivery right now with the pandemic. I ordered 2 Big Island Classic burgers, 1 smokehouse burger, and another basic burger with one small cheese fry. It took 25-30min for preparation. This seems to be a 2 man operation (dad and maybe his daughter) and it was at prime lunchtime. I didn't realize the description online said the island and smokehouse burgers were on french bread so that was a surprise but not bad. Personally, we weren't the biggest fans of how the burgers were cooked, charred and well-done, but the toppings were great and my sister said the ketchup to mayo ratio on hers was perfect! The cheddar fries are Merkt's cheddar which I now know isn't my favorite but for those that like Merkt's, there is lots of it and covers all the fries. Thanks for lunch, Little Island :-)“
“Try either of the hot dogs. My favorite was the Whoopskidawg. My husband liked the Superdawg better. Great place for trying authentic Chicago food and the history is great and atmosphere was so fun! We tried 2 types of beer also and they were very good with the dogs. Oh and a chocolate malt for dessert was nice to take on a walk by the river behind the restaurant.“
“No frills location in a strip center. The staff was friendly and it was clean for a "hole in the wall" type place. There are quite a few menu options.I with with a Chicago dog, fries, and drink and it was less than 10 bucks. You can't beat that.The fries were cooked enough to not be wimpy, another few seconds in the fryer would have been perfect. Well seasoned, and you get a huge order.The dog was perfect. I'd put it up against the more well known places in the Chicago area. Bun was soft, seasoning spot on, and the veggies fresh.“
“Run over to this little spot on Bank Lane, a side street in the center of town, for a perfectly presented Chicago Style hot dog. Delicious! The seeded bun, the soft boiled dog, impeccably chosen toppings-- superb! I really loved the water canister-- a simply beautiful "thing" that delighted me! I saw a Not-So-Sloppy Joe coming out and I'm coming back for that! It's a friendly clean place. The owner said they've been around since 1963! Coming from a town in Ohio that has a famous place called The Hot Dog Shop, well, I'm not easy to please in this department-- but today I got WOWED! I'll be back for the homemade soups (the mom makes these I'm told) and today it is Wedding Soup and Tomato Soup. Lots of others good choices on the menu.“
“Incredible customer service! Christine + Anthony were working today and gave me the full red carpet treatment (first time ever eating Mochinuts!). “I have been meaning to try Dear Franks for some time and I am glad I finally did. I ordered the #5 Italian Sausage combo meal with some sweet peppers and it was delicious. And it came with a ton of fries. I ordered the Dear Franks Famous Cheddar Cheese to go with my fries and I highly recommend that. Yum! My only complaint with it was that it was over $15 for the combo meal (not counting the cheddar cheese) which seemed a bit high to me. My wife ordered the #6 Cheeseburger combo meal and it was also very good. My kids each ordered the hotdogs and reported back that they were tasty. I was kind of surprised how large it was inside. For some reason, I thought it was going to be much smaller. But there was plenty of tables. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and the restaurant seemed clean. Even though we walked, I noticed there was a good amount of parking which is nice.“

“Now this place.. I’m blown away. My partner picked up the food and said the service was outstanding and very friendly! Let’s move onto the food, the fries and onion rings were perfect, they had that crunch. The cheese sauce is the best around here. My favorite out everything we ordered was definitely the Chubby Pug the bbq sauce takes it up a million notches. The Chicago dogs are really good, if a place can’t make a good Chicago dog DONT GO. I will say the Mac n cheese could definitely be taken up a few notches, not much flavor. Definitely will be running back to this place to try more! Can’t believe it’s only 2 minutes from my house and this was my first time trying!“
“Max's Dawg House is an iconic place in Libertyville. The people there are amazing and the food is even better. Fantastic spicy sausage, amazing charred cheese dog and one of the best gyros anywhere. Oh, and by the way, freshly cut fries. Love this place.“

The employees recognized me greeted me made sure I got everything that I needed and with a smile on their faces. I ordered very quickly. The food was prepared quickly the fries and milkshake were amazing like they always are and the bacon cheeseburger was amazing. I definitely recommend you try it if you haven’t.Parking: There are literally hundreds of parking spots available. Take a really good look at the photos that I’ve posted. you see that end of that hotdog you see how it’s twisted you see how it overhangs the bun well those are all great signs. Have a wonderful delicious hotdog. Also, I would like to point out the toppings sauerkraut ,sport peppers. These are the two things that we really should have on every single Chicago style hotdog and the only ketchup you see insight is on them fries and let me say ,them fries were crispy delicious warm in the center just the way you expected crinkle cut fries to be. they have mastered the art of the Chicago style hotdog and the crinkle cut fry.Parking: It’s certain times of a day it might be a little difficult to get a prime spot so you might have to walk about 25 to 50 feet to the door but man is that walk worth it and you’re gonna need it once you leave because the food is so damn good!Wheelchair accessibility: All the tables are wheelchair height and all the chairs can be moved to accommodate anyone in a wheelchair“
“Family-owned, old school Chicago lunch spot. Don't be fooled by the location in a strip mall. The owners take your order on a pad of paper and ring you up on a 1990s cash register. Menu is everything you'd expect from a Chicago burger/dog/italian beef spot. Greasy and delicious. If you're in the mood, this place hits the spot. A shame they are only open for lunch!“
“First off the service was great. They were very nice people. There are more tables than you'd expect but I imagine at busytimes might be more of a take out destination. And it seemed clean and bright inside which is good. The best food was the burger, juicy...it was a good solid burger. Kids weren't as big fans of the chicken gyro (would've gotten the real gyro but there wasn't much left, which probably means it's popular, when I got there, so would try that in the future). Fries were decent. They make the shakes from scratch (just probably need to clean the blenders (and/or ice cream scoopers) more btw uses as the plain chocolate shake had a strong minty note (also I wasn't paying attention but chocolate shakes gotta still have added choc syrup, I dunno if it did, which prolly means no). Oh and gotta use fresh bananas for banana shakes, syrup or powder, to quote the bard Mando, just isn't the way. And that might be my biggest gripe with an otherwise really solid diner-like joint.“

“Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! Probably visited here last in the 2010s but still the same classic joint interior-wise and food-wise. Top 5 Gyros and Chicken Gyros spots in the Chicagoland suburban area in my opinion. Ordered their Chicken Gyros sandwich as well as a side of Oven-baked Greek Potatoes (pictured here). So much gyros meat and the potatoes are perfectly baked and soaked in broth. Not going to wait years for my next visit.“
“Food was great the owner Mark is very polite and attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The dining experience was very fresh and unique and I love the theme. Me and my girlfriend went here and both of our meals were good and the zesty fries were really nicely paired with the BBQ chicken sandwich. Soda dispensers were also well maintained and clean tasting and restaurant overall was clean and overall a really good concept and atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try the ninja dog! Overall really cool place and great prices too compared to the portion you get.“
