The delivery person outside tried to give me at least 3 different orders that weren’t ours, and when we got home the chicken nuggets were missing the sauce, and the chili was missing the toppings and sour cream. “Delicious, fresh, healthy smoothies on a hot day were absolutely perfect. William made our daughter a minion milkshake (and secretly made it healthy without her knowing, which was perfect for our very picky eater), and our son enjoyed a taro boba tea with popping mango boba. Such a great find, and fabulous owner!“

“Slighly higher prices than the places we usually visit (Hansen's in Wilmot and Rusty Malts in Ringwood) We live in Fox Lake so Round Lake is a little closer than our usual stop for ice cream with the grandkids. That said, the grandkids loved La Michoacana! Incredibly colorful with a seemingly endless variety. The Ice cream was delicious and the service was wonderful! I highly recommend them if you're in the Round Lake area.“

“I have come to this candy shop for the last 10 years. That should speak for itself. If it doesn't, I'll say more:I absolutely love chocolate malts. Any place I go that has them, I always order one. SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! I took a friend a few months ago, telling them that the malts are the best and she was skeptical. Had one sip and said it was "50/10."However, if you aren't into malts, there are many other things to love. They have the widest variety of candies I have ever seen at one shop, plus some types of candy that I haven't seen anywhere else in 15 years, not to mention soda in actual glass bottles! Good luck finding those in your local grocery store! It seems impossible to find a real *candy* store anymore, as opposed to a store with a candy section.If you're in the area, SweetSpot is a must-visit. I'm moving several hours away tomorrow, but you can be sure that any time I come back to visit, I'll be stopping here for a malt!“

“My kids beg me for frozen yogurt from here and they have fun adding the toppings. I tried the pomegranate açaí mixed with mango sorbet and it is delicious and so refreshing! The staff is so friendly and it is always so clean. Perfect neighborhood place!“

“The Inside Scoop has the best Hot Fudge Sundaes in Crystal Lake! Although they have a variety of ice cream selections, I love the vanilla ice cream, it tastes homemade. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend stopping in!“

“I absolutely LOVE Cold Stone Creamery! We visited again on Sunday, May 4, 2025 for the first time in years and honestly the Chocolate Devotion is probably the best ice cream I’ve ever had. We were so impressed with it. When we got home afterwards there was some complaining from family members who did not go with us because they didn’t realize we were going to Cold Stone! “I was very happy with the employees that worked there, but i gave it a one-star for the food. I was very disappointed in the twist cone I received. It was like eating whipped cream. Don't get me wrong, I like whipped cream but not as a cone. The reason why it was like this is because the machine wasn't calibrated correctly in the beginning, or they ran out of mix, and when they added more mix. And then the machine when out of calibration. I know this because I worked in the food industry for 35 years.“

“I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to share how exceptional the service was today. I visited the Deer Park store with my son, and when he had a meltdown over losing his favorite toy, the crew member (Sri) went above and beyond. She directed us to a quiet area to help calm him down, then checked in on us with a thoughtful gift for my son, which made his day (it was his birthday!). She was kind, empathetic, and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you, Sri, for making this experience so special!“

“Flew in last night from Las Vegas and on the way home my sister’s said I have to try the crispy chicken sandwich. Move over Chick fil-A, Culver’s has you beaten. There chickem was plump and juicy.-oh did I mention it was made fresh and tasty as H E double sticks at 9:50 pm at night.“
