“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. The delivery person outside tried to give me at least 3 different orders that weren’t ours, and when we got home the chicken nuggets were missing the sauce, and the chili was missing the toppings and sour cream. Not a great outing tonight.“

“Froyo is Froyo, but I wanted to write a review because of the pomegranate flavor available here. I’ve never seen pomegranate Froyo before and I thought it was delicious. A unique flavor that you won’t find anywhere else. I thought the prices were pretty good. I see other reviews complaining about the price or upcharges or no samples policy, but I don’t feel like it’s too outlandish to do things that way. They have the lowest price per weight that I’ve seen in a very long time. The color changing spoons are a nice touch as well.

“We stopped at the location. I had to eat quickly because my blood sugar was under 50 when we ordered and got to the window. I had asked the employee Troy if I could possibly get a small little cup of M&Ms because my blood sugar was very low he ran to get them came back and I thanked him and he said no I just wanna make sure you’re gonna be OK and I appreciated that because most people don’t care the food was amazing and I’m my sugar came back up, but I just wanted to recognize a shout out to Troy. “I was very happy with the employees that worked there, but i gave it a one-star for the food. I was very disappointed in the twist cone I received. It was like eating whipped cream. Don't get me wrong, I like whipped cream but not as a cone. The reason why it was like this is because the machine wasn't calibrated correctly in the beginning, or they ran out of mix, and when they added more mix. And then the machine when out of calibration. I know this because I worked in the food industry for 35 years.“
