“Here I am again... first, it was cold in here. I sat with my coat on the entire time! Now, let's talk about food! This was our 1st time here..I ordered an Italian beef with fries..hubby ordered the combo..Beef and sausage with fried mushrooms. I would have given 5 starts if the food had been hot. The taste was very good.. but it was not hot..just warm. We received our food right away! So it should have been HOT.. service was good..they were friendly and again the food came out right away. We will come back again. Since we enjoyed the flavor of the food.. hoping the next time the food is hot. Considering the service and fast delivery of the food.. the presentation of it was good.. flavor was there too.. On a side note.. the hard rock music was definitely a turn off for me.. it wasn't a constant hard rock..“
“My wife and I went to Garden on Main with my daughter and her finance for a late lunch. I was told by a neighbor to try them out. My daughter and I had the soup of the day. ( Can't remember the name but had egg and sausage ) The soup was recommended by our waitress and it was a great choice !! The food was GREAT and the service was just as good !! We joked with one of the waitress the food taste like someone mom made it. She stated that there are two mom's in the kitchen cooking right now. The food was very flavorful, fresh and a lot of it ! Two meals ,one salad ,two soup's ,two ice tea's, one coke and a beer under $100 :) To top it off, my wife went over to check out the different ice cream. Nice gesture, they gave her two free scoops. Smart :) Looking forward to stopping by in the morning for a nice cup of coffee in the future..“
“After two failed attempts, I eventually acquired the cinnamon square. I swear, when I placed my order using the kiosk machine, it appeared before me in a supernatural manner. I was amazed at how quickly it was ready. It was warm and moist as I bite into it. The texture and temperature were perfect, the icing was silky, and the dough was fluffy, but the flavor was weak, I didn't notice a strong cinnamon aroma.“
“Spectacular hidden treasure in Algonquin that we just chanced upon. Latte was absolutely delicious and their homemade mini donuts were to die for! They also had live music setup. The owners were super friendly and hospitable. This is everything a coffee house should be and more! There's also a patio that must be a blast to hang out on in summers. “After a failed attempt to another McHenry bakery, we stumbled upon this location to purchase conchas for my daughters school project. The facility was extremely clean and they offered a wide variety of items. My daughter picked out her items and the young man cashing us out struck up a conversation with her. She informed him they were for a school project she was working on about Mexico. He smiled and told her that he thought he might have something special for her project. He came back with little toothpick flags and a ring for her. His overall generosity is beyond appreciated. We will definitely be returning customers!“

When we went, most of the staff spoke Spanish so if you're an English speaker be prepared for a language barrier. SweetSpot makes the most INCREDIBLE malt I have ever had anywhere, and not once in 10 years has it been less than amazing! I took a friend a few months ago, telling them that the malts are the best and she was skeptical. Had one sip and said it was "50/10."However, if you aren't into malts, there are many other things to love. They have the widest variety of candies I have ever seen at one shop, plus some types of candy that I haven't seen anywhere else in 15 years, not to mention soda in actual glass bottles! Good luck finding those in your local grocery store!
