“Anam Cara Cafe was the perfect location for our family reunion on Black Friday! We were able to reserve a private room, so the little ones had free range to run around and not bother other patrons and the adults could comfortably hear each other and catch up. The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, from setting up the reservation to not rushing us out at the end of our gathering. They gave us great and attentive service without hovering and interrupting our conversations. Food was excellent and served promptly. Would definitely recommend! We're already talking about meeting there again when the Wisconsin and Chicago sides of the family meet up the next time.“

“We have been there twice. My 6 year old had a blast both times. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The coffee is delicious. One part that stood out to me both times is how well the parents monitor their children. We’ve been to similar places and had a few issues bullying. I’m not sure if it’s the layout but here you’ll see the parents actively watching, and even engaging with their kids. Thank you for providing such a safe place for our kids to play.“

I stopped in for a simple black coffee once and it was great. It is very modern on the inside and the coffee is expensive for what I got, but good staff and short wait time. The study area has a good view of the road so you can take a short break from your work and enjoy the atmosphere.“

It is a small place, and not easily spotted from the street. It is located just one block West of the intersection of Plum Grove Road & Euclid Avenue, ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF EUCLID AVE & BROCKWAY STREET IN PALATINE. The owners/staff are very friendly,, accommodating, and provide excellent service. I can't say enough good things about this place, and want to give it a big shout-out because it is easy to miss unless you are looking for it. “I've been here a few times about four o'clock or so and the lady that's usually there is really nice and very accommodating (don't know her name). I was in yesterday and there was a guy on the machine hitting the buttons so loudly after 40 minutes of this I couldn't take it any longer and had to get out of there! I would have stayed another hour if he wasn't doing this. I like to go and have a beer and unwind from work and it was none of that. It's sad that some people are so self absorbed they have no consideration for others. Btw I wasn't the only one that was getting agitated. This is in no way a bad review, the place is great! I just wish people would think of others.“

“Where do I Begin? I looked at several other workout centers, and this one is head and shoulders above all the others. We used to work out at the Triphahn center with the HEPD for years. They have had problems with their air conditioning and other issues as well. It was simply time for a change. And what a change! They have a huge selection of machines for aerobics, free weights, and resistance machines. They also have a spa, a nice café and their service so far is been tremendous. I went for a look and much to my surprise was given an escorted tour right away. I feel like we went from a motel six to the Ritz Carlton. That’s how good it is. They are doing renovations now to add even more. You can have the use of a personal trainer as well and at least one session is free at least through our insurance plan. “

“The General Manager in Hoffman Estates Panera is one of the best I have ever seen. His name is Brian. He is constantly on the go, working the register, making drinks, cleaning tables, helping people as needed. Very approachable. We frequent this store regularly. Kudos Brian!“

The staff members were very helpful in helping us pick the right drink from the menu and even offered my daughter a sample of one of the flavors to help her decide. I thought the drinks were a bit pricey for what we got, but I don't get specialty drinks like this often. The atmosphere inside was kind of basic. Nothing special. Would I make this place a habit? Probably not, but it was good for a special treat.“
