“I have ordered candy for Christmas gifts from Sweets for the last 8 years. They've always gotten the order correct & the staff is very accommodating. The people that I send the candy to look forward to receiving the candy every year. Sweet's toffee is out of this world good. Their Ladybugs put Pixies to shame. Their salted caramels are just perfect. I tell all my friends how good their candy is. I don't mind driveing an hour to get there. It's that good!

I guess I musta been living under rock (actually no) but apparently I misunderstood the concept behind the famed bakery.When I first walked in and browsed the menu, I was like "only 6 different types of cookies?" I eventually found out from my stepdaughter that there's a rotation each week which makes perfect sense.These cookies are outstanding: they stay soft, moist & flavorful for several days and the price which may seem high to some is definitely worth it. The ability to add on to the cookies is ideal as well.Customer service is down-to-earth friendly and helpful and as long as they keep baking that yummy goodness with consistency, I'll keep coming back for more.“

But even when it gets cold out, still fun to go to even during a brutal Chicago area winter.This is probably the one ice cream parlor around compared to others that has a huge emphasis on toppings/creations which is definitely their strong point.Always a great selection of flavors between their regular year round and seasonal flavors, prices still seem reasonable although the high-end ice cream chain has never really been cheap and customer service remains consistently good in an always spiffy clean/sanitized atmosphere.CSC obviously does battle with competitors such as Oberweis up the road and Graeter's. “As a self-proclaimed boba connoisseur and lover of local businesses, I was hoping to add another to my growing list of affordable, quality, and quaint boba joints.

Instead, I opted to try their small selection of quality ice creams. Only 6 flavours are available, but it's extremely customisable and the staff is very accommodating.

I was absolutely blown away by the vanilla ice cream. The taste is subtle and not overpowering, but it's a fresh kind of vanilla I've never had and is sure to please all vanilla lovers. The texture of the ice cream was perfect - it didn't melt too fast, not too soft or frozen, and it was creamy but not overwhelmingly creamy. Simply put, you NEED to try it!

The individual who accommodated me was phenomenal! I unfortunately was unable to ask his name, but he took great care of my vanilla ice cream with oreos in a cake cone. Furthermore, I was able to learn more about the business and how involved they are in the community, which is always a plus.

Although I didn't try their boba, I have no doubt it's as quality as their ice cream. Overall, I love the business and am excited to come back with friends and family!

Parking: The parking is a bit small as the store itself is in downtown Deerfield and located along a busy main road (Rt43/Waukegan Rd). I can imagine during more busy hours, it'd be difficult to find good parking as, other than the small parking lot in the back, you may have to walk to the location.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly! The menu is extremely customisable, especially if you have any dietary allergies.“

My wedding was scheduled for August 8,2020. But due to Covid-19, we unfortunately had to cancel. Janice was extremely compassionate, understanding and flexible during the whole process. Sweet Home Gelato was the most compassionate and flexible vendor. It is not easy to cancel a wedding, unfortunately many vendors were not as accommodating. Janice immediately offered a refund, date change or gift card for the deposit. Sweet Home Gelato was under no circumstance required to issue a refund. “My 4 year old son loved it here!!! He was so proud to have designed a donut (which was actually just the cookies and cream option from the menu) but he watched them make it and decorate it and then showed it to everyone he passed. He said they were the BEST donuts he’s ever had! I had the cold brew with sweet cream which was solid.“

The girl with blond highlights and the girl with dark hair are so sweet! On vacation I went to a gelato place, thier gelato was FULL OF SUGAR all I tasted was sugar but here I actually taste the flavor. The flavors are so good. “I’m lucky to be right next to Michoacán a Pedir de Boca at the mall! Their treats are seriously the best. Fresh fruit, ice cream, elote, amazing drink flavors, and a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome every time. I’ve been to many Michoacanas, and this one has the best fresh fruit drinks I’ve had (agua de fruta is my favorite). I haven’t even had the chance to try everything yet, but if you’re at Gurnee Mills, you’ve got to stop by. Great people, great treats…can’t recommend them enough!“
