“My waiter was good and friendly. I sat in covered patio. I ordered a spring salad with shrimp. blackberries, grapefruit, candied pecans, arugula and berry vinaigrette and a side of Mac n cheese. The salad was missing the pecans but I forgot until I left, I thought something was missing. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The ratio of shrimp to half portion was good. Mac N Cheese was ok. Noodles were undercooked and some still hard/crunchy edges and cheese sauce was just average and a bit gritty/thick. However, I was not expecting my meal to be served with plastic wrapped plastic utensils. a take home box for salad and a take home container for dining in. That was disappointing. the table of eight next to me was a bit shocked too to get their meals in to go cardboard containers.“

The owner Ken O'Connor was extremely knowledgeable about wine, particularly Italian wines and also has some creative cocktails on the menu. “Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

“Best Panera I’ve ever been to. The owner/manager is always there and you can tell he has a good rapport with the employees. They seem to be happy working there which is reflected in the quality of the food and service. The food is always fresh and hot and the employees are always helpful and friendly“

“We were in Chicago for a visit from Texas and I decided I was really craving dumplings. I googled dumplings and Dangelas popped up. Reviews were amazing so we put it in the GPS and off we went. Service is still great but tipping 25% is loopy.

The place is clean and, other than for the poor cooking, well operated. Parking is still rough on weekends.“

“Its a great place if you are looking for great tacos that is no nonsense. Place is inside the little Mexican grocery store and has three tables, doesn't look the prettiest but it is a great place. Reminds me of great taco joints in Cd. Juarez. Prices were great too. Food was made fresh because when I got my tacos and they were so hot I couldn't hold them long. Chicken tacos were excellent. Easily coming back here.“
