“A nice mom and pop breakfast restaurant. Good food and good service. They only do breakfast though and are open until the early afternoon and then shudder the doors, but their breakfast is good and in large portions for a fair price. Will be back.Vegetarian options: They have typica breakfast food and you can ask them to hold the meat and get some pancakes, waffles, hash browns, toast, and several other things free of meat.Kid-friendliness: We’ve got a few energetic little girls that have always felt welcomed and staff respond well to. They’ve always been patient and taken a few extra minutes to help us order with the kids and get them the typical crayons and drawing page.Parking: We haven’t had a problem getting a spot, but I’d imagine at some times people do. The parking lot has always been near capacity when we’ve visited.“
“Very friendly people work here and make you welcome from the get-go.Had the chorizo casserole. It was delicious and filling. Had a $2 16oz Hamms as well. They had PBR and Stroh's as well.In addition, they have poker machines for entertainment.“
“This is a cute hideaway with amazing food! Service and staff were great and restaurant is clean with an updated layout. I would highly recommend the pancakes, they are quite big but taste amazing! Talk about bang for your buck! Can't wait to go back!“
“The service here was excellent, and the food was beyond my expectations!! I got a Denver omelet and some raspberry cream cheese crepes. Wow, they were so good! It was a busy place on a Saturday morning, but we got seated after only a five minute wait. I would definitely go back again.“
“Quite a drive for me but worth the trip. Easy parking, the place was inviting even from the outside, and seating was comfortable. Our waitress was super nice and attentive throughout our meal. All three of us had the bottomless mimosa, which is only worth it if you drink three or more. I chose it because I wanted to try the different kinds of mimosas: oj, cranberry, and pineapple. Yum to them all. For my meal, I split the Veggie Fritatta and the Chiliquiles with my friend. I liked the chiliqiiles more (crunchy chips) than the fritatta (chunks of potato). The special: corn beef eggrolls were also really good. My other friend had the steak and cheese, which she loved. The amount given was just enough, and the prices were decent.“
“My new favorite restaurant! All I can say is GO and you won’t be disappointed. I enjoyed broccoli/cauliflower cream soup, hot bacon dressing on my salad, twice baked potato and a 16 oz prime rib! I had the BEST Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet I’ve ever had in my life. The bartender sure knows how to make a drink!“
“Whitney St is a traditional diner, and the food is good and service good. What my family especially appreciates is the Sunday buffet. Great for the kids and great for larger groups.Kid-friendliness: Such an easy place to eat with the kiddos.“
“Local spot that's small but so great for Friday night fish fry. We talked to strangers sitting around us at their table and it became such a fun night meeting new people. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Small but mighty. Support your local establishments.“
“Damn. Just Damn. My wife and I are both chicken wings fans. And hands down, these are some of the best wings I've ever had. Perfect seasoning, healthy chicken, and so much more affordable than the big chains. They are so good I had to order 3 dozen to go. My only complaint is that I don't live closer.I have one warning, if you come by to try these wings, you'll want to order a bucket of them to go.I apologize about the picture. I scarfed two down before I realized I had to tell the world about these. #chickenwings #fromheavan“
“From the moment I placed my order at Kaiser's Pizza and Pub, the experience was seamless and thoroughly enjoyable.Opting for two pizzas, each was crafted to perfection, embodying the essence of what a great pizza should be. It's evident that Kaiser's takes pride in their food preparation, as both pizzas were not only made exactly as requested but also allowed for a customized addition—broccoli, in this case—showcasing their flexibility and dedication to customer satisfaction. The staff at Kaiser's Pizza and Pub deserves a special mention for their congeniality and professionalism. They made the dining experience feel personal and inviting, which is a rarity in today's fast-paced world. Furthermore, the efficiency of service was commendable, with the order arriving right on time, proving that Kaiser's values both quality and punctuality.“
“I love coming to this bar!! Every Thursday they switch the Tap!! TAP TAKEOVER and omg the beers are amazing. They also have live music, came to see Frank liston Music, he was amazing and added to the atmosphere. The staff is super friendly. Food is okay but overall the atmosphere is where it's at!! Come for Tap Takeovers!“
“Happened to be in Antioch with my daughter and stopped in The Lodge for a late lunch. I had one of the best, if not the best chicken wrap with fries. It was wrapped, then heated on the outside, delicious. My daughter had a grilled cheese with tomato with onion rings, she loved it. We were too full to eat desert, but we took a piece of homemade tiramiso with. It was a slice of heaven. Great service and wonderful food“
“Stop here a couple times a month. This is 100% dive bar. Overall it’s pretty worn down but kept pretty clean. The locals are friendly and typically interact with others. Food is pretty good and they have daily specials. There seems to be enough parking at least during the day. Bar tenders are friendly and do a good job with the service. Pool table, darts and gambling machines. A few tvs are typically playing some sports.“
“Had such a a great experience here. The waiter was so sweet and attentive. Was very accommodating for our vegan needs. Food was delicious. I got a veggie taco dinner and hubs got a bean burrito. Neither were on the menu but were created for us. The strawberry margarita was very yummy.Vegetarian options: Beans were vegan as well as bean burrito and veggie tacosDietary restrictions: Vegan friendly!!!“
“This local “joint” has something for everyone! My son loves the beef & I’m a fan of the mozzarella burger (w fresh grown lettuce..,what?!I would walk across hot coals for their home cut fries!!Lots of folks go for the gaming. Also the lady @ the counter & the chef were extremely friendly & accommodating.Check it out!“
“They have many options. However, there are few varieties of food for vegetarian or vegan diners. The dinning room has spectacular views of Grass Lake.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian and vegan options are clearly labeled.Dietary restrictions: I saw the salad was the only option for vegetarian gluten free. It was delicious.Parking: It's a very small parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome here.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp to get to the door.“
“Went for the Friday Fish, the walleye was fantastic. Next time I’m trying the fish tacos, folks at the next table raved about them. Also great staff and a great bar, though the place feels kind of like a reckroom. Subdued lighting might be nice.“
“In reading these reviews, I'm wondering if some of these people are going to the same place that I'm going. Dean, at the door, is absolutely wonderful. He always makes me feel welcome and calls me by name. Ben is new and as I've gotten to know him he is so super friendly. He sees me coming in. He comes over and personally greats me. I've never seen a manager that actually carries food for the bartenders and helps them to keep up with the bar service. He's great. The bartenders are so outstanding. Liz and Kristen are on the ball and when not working with customers are cleaning and arranging and doing exactly what bartender should do. They're super friendly and are always there with my drink when I want it. This is my to-go place on the way home from work. When I stop in midweek, Alex is my bartender and he makes the most wonderful blueberry lemon drops. During the week when I'm in there, he'll come out of the dining room and over to greet me and asked me if everything is okay. He's a wonderful bartender server and all around friendly person I stop in for a drink or an evening of fun. The food is fantastic. I have never had a a bad meal. I always eat at the bar but Yessica has gotten to know me and always comes by and greets me and asked me if it had a good day.“
“Pete takes me to Wisconsin to see Bear's games with his brother, a treat in Packers territory :-) The food is crazy good and the atmosphere is lots of fun, with many locals and out-of-towners being so close to Illinois. Gambling machines, darts and a blliard table for additional entertainment.“
“I came to watch the band and noticed a sign on the wall talking about barbecue baby back ribs.I usually have a hard time finding places that cook them so they fall off the bone and melt in your mouth. This place said there's did and guess what? MY RACK OF RIBS TRULY DID "FALL OFF THE BONE AND MELT MY MOUTH" (for $20)Now, I might just come here to eat every week! lol“
“We were invited out to Reflections while we were visiting friends in IL. There are many restraunts to choose from, but we must say we are so glad that we here. First it has that traditional restraunt on a lake. The rustic look inside with views of the lake give it a wonderful charm. A beautiful bar with an awesome bartender by the name of Patty. She made sure we were all taken care of. The food & service was great. You may want to make reservations. Enjoy, We sure did :)“
“The food was delicious as always, and the service was great. Tina was an excellent waiter. The Alpine omelette had a lovely flavor and the Door County Melt with Gluten Free bread was remarkable. The coffee, however, tasted like it was on the burner too long. One of the pleasant features of coming to Egg Harbor was the flavor of the day coffee and we’re disappointed that they no longer carry that. The specialty coffees do not make up for that. As a plus, they have a gluten-free menu and offer it upfront.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free“
“Gave all four stars because the food was above average for the types of food offered. Pleased to see a lot of choices to choose from. Service was good. Received food quickly. Found the atmosphere to be a little too warm, but I realize it’s hard to please everyone.“
“This is an absolute hidden gem of Mundelein!!! Everything is seasoned so well, delicious food, priced fairly, great service. We have tried so many Mexican restaurants all over town and this is hands down the best. We’ve eaten here lots of times- the tacos are always amazing, tortas, burritos too. I’ve had a few of the Mexican classic dinners. Never any complaints. Check it out!!“
“Came here for a quick bite with my husband and the bar area was busy! Sat there anyways. Teresa, the bartender, did a great job at managing all her patrons! My husband and I both ordered bloody Mary's and they were yummy. For lunch, we told Teresa we were splitting a plate, and we'd ordered the teriyaki salmon wrap with sweet potato fries. Teresa was kind enough to split this meal onto two plates rather than have us fighting for room or it sitting between us. I thought that was so thoughtful! Let me tell you, the salmon was SO DELICIOUS and fresh! I was nervous the sundried tomato wrap would overpower the salmon but it definitely was a side note! The sweet potato fries were perfectly cooked and simply amazing (I normally do not like them, but this changed my mind!). My husband also ordered the unstuffed red pepper soup and it was by far the beat I'd tasted. The Shanty is absolutely one of my favorites!“
“Great local family restaurant. Nothing too fancy, but good food, friendly service and plenty of free parking. My only complaint is that I forgot to ask about this double egg policy, so I ordered two eggs and got (literally) four eggs! Crazy. Luckily a hungry son could eat the excess. First world problems.“
“This place is a hidden gem!! Absolutely stunning scenery, the entire establishment is super clean, and the waitstaff are very friendly. Cassie is the best, super sweet, caring, and will always make sure you’re taken care of. She pays great attention to everyone, you won’t even know that she’s noticed you’re ready for your next!“
“Had a great time for the time at Open Mic night! Wish I could of stayed longer is all hopefully next week I can make it and have more time...Also if you haven't been there on Mexi night yet your missing out!! For it's all freshly made that day ? authentic and all super delicious! Also add a couple of their homemade tamales too for you won't be sorry for they're out of this world! Highly recommended all around!!???️???❤️Kid-friendliness: Great customer service!“
“Just a note for any Google personnel reading this. I did not stop at this bar, and have no clue where it even is located. Sono idea why Google wants me to rate an establishment I have never visited. Very strange. Your system needs work.I'd give the review one star over Google screwing up. But that's not fair to the bar. 5 stars simply because their rating shouldn't suffer over Google maps being stupid. If this is a Google AI test, it failed miserably.“
“The service was exceptional, just as one would anticipate from a higher-end restaurant. Ryan, our server, demonstrated politeness, expertise, and patience regarding our dietary restrictions. He was attentive and tailored his suggestions to our preferences. The food was delicious.“
“typically go here a couple times a year due to we live in indiana and visit family in Illinois. both gf and myself lobe the pull pork mac and cheese. and we always buy a few different sauces to take home. for the price could use some more meat the the pasta but still great to eat for some good comfort food.“
“Absolute BEST FRIES! The Taste is one of a kind EVERYTHING IS FRESH MADE TO ORDER! The Hotdogs, burgers and beef are AMAZING! One of the last gems that has Truely good, unique soul food.Wheelchair accessibility: Floor is level with the parking lot!“
“So we went to a very beautiful church my wife and I like to visit in Libertyville. Our friends joined us there and after the maid we visited this restaurant for lunch. It's opened for breakfast and lunch . We were greeted at the door by a very sweet lady who might have been its owner. Our server was a young man named Armando very sweet and handsome he told us that he arrived 5 months ago from Venezuela and spoke to my surprise very good English, I asked him about it, and he said he learned it in the university there. The restaurant was very cozy and clean and it smelled very good from the foods cooked there. Once we settled into our table we ordered our foods which by the way was very tasty. My wife had the salmon with cream cheese and avocado, and although it was served with bread instead of the normal bagel, she said it was tasty. I had an avocado and chicken breast sandwich with fries. We both had salads as well. One of our friends had salad with fruits, and her wife had breakfast omelet with a hashbrown and bacon. We met Simon, an older gentleman who served coffee and was very polite from Mexico. I highly recommend this restaurant because of the good food and hospitality we will return next time we visit the church in Libertyville.“
“Middle of the afternoon on the weekend. Sunny and 80. Plenty of parking for cars and bikes. Plenty of dock space. It was a little tough getting served at the outside bar. A few tables available with nice views. Made for a ok one and done. Will stop again.“
“We always have great service here. The food is pretty good also. It is nice to pop in for lunch or dinner and be able to sit at a table with the kids. The wings are really awesome. The burgers are good too and everything is decently priced. The bathrooms are always clean also which is a nice perk!“
“Its definitely a cool looking place during more warmer weather. Food was good, except the combo basket appetizer.....lol it just seemed like everything was thrown in a air fryer. ? Definitely can't wait til the weather warms up more to go back. ??“
“The Friday fish fry/broil is wonderful!I got the combination which consists of 2 cod fried and 2 broiled. The potato pancakes also are a great side. The Brussel sprout appetizers are highly recommended as well! The prices are also very reasonable“
“Comfort food in a cozy country-style atmosphere. Classic food prepared fresh with generous portions for the price ($10-14). We had the fried chicken & philly steak flatbread - delicious! This really is a hidden gem with a wonderful mission to support adults with intellectual disabilities. Why stop at a chain restaurant when your money can go to such a good cause? TIP: We were glad we wandered around because we picked up some delicious chocolates & cookies in the little country store around the corner from the pet stop.“
“Our server was really welcoming and nice. The employee at the little gift shop was also very pleasant and provided us with excellent customer service. Food was good. Sweet tea was delightful. I will definitely be returning.Parking: Plenty of parking space“
“So 1st time here tonight and it was a special occasion for us made more special by our server Stephanie she was friendly and attentive without being overbearing....awesome job!! Also the food was great from the pretzel with warm carmel sauce yep! Filet was really good dessert amazing will be back ?“
“Fish fry was the best I've had in a while!VERY VERY BUSY!! Staff was great but service was kinda slow due to the amount of customers. Our experience was positive and we will go back. We will try to get there early next time! Things are tough all over but I thought they did a great job.“
“Service is on point. Very friendly people there. The set up of the bar is awesome. The food was good and the portion sizes were perfect. My mini corn dogs were a little dark. Maybe I caught them in need to change the oil day. Prices are typical prices for a bar. Just really amazed how well that bar is taken care of inside.“
“When you first, enter Stevens, you notice How nicely decorated it is inside. Classy and tasteful without being too fancy or cold modern. The service, from being warmly greeted to the very end was excellent. I was there with a larger party. Everyone raved about their food.. We ordered the oysters. They were massive!! And really good. I had the red snapper. Extremely tasty. Would absolutely order that again. Highly recommend Stevens.“
“The food is amazing. I'll miss it when I leave Illinois due to the state I'm going to not having one. It's cheaper than McDonald's if you're okay with spending $2 less than McDonald's for 2 people. The staff are really nice and allow you to take your time without getting annoyed. Ive gone through the drive thru twice with the same results. Food is amazing, inside is clean. You don't have to worry about them screwing up your food either. Culver's, you are on the top of my list for best fast food places.“
“Culver's was really good. Their burgers are juicy and flavorful, with the perfect balance of toppings. The buttered and toasted buns add an extra layer of deliciousness. And let's not forget about their mouthwatering cheese curds! They're crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and oh-so-addictive. The custard is a must-try too, with its creamy texture and a variety of delectable flavors. The service at Culver's is always friendly making the experience even better. If you're craving a burger or custard, Culver's is the place to go.Vegetarian options: They have all kinds of delicious salads on their menu.“
“I just had to give a new update. They updated their menu. I took friends here and they all loved it! The food & service were perfect! It's a fun little spot. We ordered: Nutty Chicken Fat Dragon Noodles Coconut Chicken Curry White fish special Everything was 10/10!!“
“I love this place for their AYCE fish-fry Fridays. They also have amazing beans & rice as well as hushpuppies. Annie is by far the best server in the place, 5-stars for her service. There is at least one server that would get a 0-star review for her service, I don't really remember her name. Everyone else there seems to provide high 3-4 star service. I haven't stopped in for any other meals. So, the food review is specific to the meal described. The place can get a bit crowded and loud, but what can you expect from a place with great food and service. That said, there has really only been one occasion that it was overwhelming crowed when I've gone.Parking: You really gotta get there before the dinner rush, otherwise you might not fine parking. They really don't seem to have enough space to accommodate the amount of parties they can fit inside the establishment.“
“Great place to have stop by and eat out in. Great variety of dishes can be found in their menu and the quality of the food is great. My go-to dish are the Chilaquiles, Although somewhat spicy having ordered a side of white toast really complement eachother. Not much can be said about the service, As soon as I arrived I was cordially escorted to my seat and the waitress was very nice and attentive. Will recommend this place to anyone looking for a homecook meal. Make sure to come early oherwise there will be a wait time which it isn't too long as patrons come and go and the wait is redeemed by their delicious food.Kid-friendliness: Establishment has a small selection of items for Kids.“
“Wonderful Thursday night dinner at Park Street. Atmosphere was lively and patrons were having fun.Enjoyed a Horsefeather Cocktail and the Chopped Salad. My daughter enjoyed the Pesto Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. Both meals were prepared with care and enjoyable.Looking forward to our next visit.“
“The Firecracker shrimp was amazing! I loved and hated it at the same time. Absolutely loved the flavor and texture of this dish. It became problematic , though, when I couldn’t stop eating the spicy goodness even as my face was melting and pooling at my toes. It was that good. Was it that hot? Well….. Mild sauce usually burns me up so you’re asking the wrong person. However it was a tasty challenge. The fries were the perfect crispy. So good that we went back the next day. I was tempted to get the shrimp again….So tempted. Hmmm…. Maybe tomorrow for lunch?? ? ? Great food and service.“
