“We visited Lucha Canting for the first time tonight. It was excellent! I just moved back here after living in Austin, TX, for many years. I wasn't expecting the food and atmosphere to be as good and inviting as they were. I told my dinner companion the food was as tasty as any Mexican food I've had in TX, and it was beautifully presented. The way in which the restaurant was decorated made me feel like I was back in Texas! Lastly, our server was excellent. He checked on us just the right amount, and got our food out in good time. All in all, it was quite a pleasant experience!“

“Traditionally, this is the Friday hangout of my older siblings. However, every time I walk in the door, it feels like home. It's always fast friendly service, with great people enjoying themselves. Nobody is looking at you like you don't belong there. We didn't eat this time“

“It's a very nice clean regular bar where all the regulars come tell their day time stories or their week stories whatever and it's all been redone on the inside so it's very clean very nice looking. They also offer games like darts there's TVs and I was there for a birthday party so I imagine they have other things I just didn't get to see everything but like I said it's a great local bar and it's very clean and the regulars like to have a lot of fun yet I found that it was not cliquish at all and everybody was very inclusive and wants what your favorite drink to get to know you even wanted to find out what your favorite drink is, nobody was standoffish are snotty or playing Mean girls because it's their bar, that's not the vibe at all, the vibe is come in have fun enjoy yourself and then go home and have a nice night that's the vibe I got from there! They also have Dart leagues that go to Vegas! Let's put it this way if it wasn't so far away from my home I would make it my local Watering Hole but I'm still glad that I got to visit it. “Last minute decision to spend day in Rockford and looked for a place online while driving. We look for something different to try and we're not disappointed! Definitely make reservations if your going to try although on a Sunday Morning we only waited 1/2hr for a bar seating, which was totally fine more interaction with staff and able to watch the workings of the restaurant. Food was delicious, healthy options (GF,vegan) We will definitely be back!“

“Had a group of 19 women in for lunch today. Went in last week to let staff know we were coming on Monday at 11 am. I arrived, no tables were set up and I had to help arrange tables. All of our meals were very good. There was a huge variety on the menu choices. I asked our waitress if I might have a gift card ( $10 or $15) to draw from among the women. Was told the manager could not get ahold of the owners to ask if this was okay. Really? Anyway, every 2 months I make a reservation for us all to go to lunch. Never been turned down before. All the food was great. This just rubbed me the wrong way.“

I’m an older single female and usually come for the fish fry on Fridays but everything I’ve had here is very good. I never get any weird looks for being alone and female whether I sit at a table or the bar and that means the world to me because sometimes I just want to get away. I would give them more stars if I could because I’ve been here quite a few times now and the service has always been second to none and that’s very hard to find these days. “I stopped by Whiskey Roadhouse after reading reviews that they had a good breakfast buffet. They do. It's Sunday 10-2p and it's very good food for a very reasonable price. The staff work very hard cooking and stocking the buffet with quality food but it's hard to keep up at times when a large group of hungry folk descend on the buffet at the same time, so be patient. Food will be out shortly and it's worth the wait. Very friendly place. If there is something that you need, just ask and they'll get it for you.“
