He was personable, glad to explain the ice cream shots they have, shared the last Tue of the month paint "party" they do, and was on top of making sure needs were being met without being overbearing. “Stopping at Farmers Inn on the way home from somewhere was completely random for us. Sitting at the bar we got great service for a couple beers and fantastic conversation from bartender (& owner?) Eric. We were also chatting it up with a couple locals, farmers from nearby Monroe Center. We were out of there in about an hour but we will definitely be back.“

“Love going to Town Hall for their Friday night fish fry. The baked cod is excellent and the best in town!“

Kid-friendliness: The dining room is large and plenty of room for children.
Wheelchair accessibility: The dining room and bar area are 7 steps below street level but there is an elevator chair that glides down safely.“

“We visited Lucha Canting for the first time tonight. It was excellent! I just moved back here after living in Austin, TX, for many years. I wasn't expecting the food and atmosphere to be as good and inviting as they were. I told my dinner companion the food was as tasty as any Mexican food I've had in TX, and it was beautifully presented. The way in which the restaurant was decorated made me feel like I was back in Texas! Lastly, our server was excellent. He checked on us just the right amount, and got our food out in good time. All in all, it was quite a pleasant experience!“

“Excellent and helpful staff. Friday fish is one of the best in the area. My mom loves the Walleye and Blue Gill. And she is picky about her fish. My sister is not a fan of fish so she gets the chicken sandwich and says it is one of the best she has ever had.“

“It's a very nice clean regular bar where all the regulars come tell their day time stories or their week stories whatever and it's all been redone on the inside so it's very clean very nice looking. They also offer games like darts there's TVs and I was there for a birthday party so I imagine they have other things I just didn't get to see everything but like I said it's a great local bar and it's very clean and the regulars like to have a lot of fun yet I found that it was not cliquish at all and everybody was very inclusive and wants what your favorite drink to get to know you even wanted to find out what your favorite drink is, nobody was standoffish are snotty or playing Mean girls because it's their bar, that's not the vibe at all, the vibe is come in have fun enjoy yourself and then go home and have a nice night that's the vibe I got from there! They also have Dart leagues that go to Vegas! Let's put it this way if it wasn't so far away from my home I would make it my local Watering Hole but I'm still glad that I got to visit it. “We had the absolutely perfect meal this evening! We started with the New Fashioned, continued with the beet/goat cheese bord, savored the trout, and ended with the blueberry crumble. Everything was so well prepared and had amazing flavors. This is only our second visit, but we will be back! I hope everyone makes it out to try your unique creations!“

“Had a group of 19 women in for lunch today. Went in last week to let staff know we were coming on Monday at 11 am. I arrived, no tables were set up and I had to help arrange tables. All of our meals were very good. There was a huge variety on the menu choices. I asked our waitress if I might have a gift card ( $10 or $15) to draw from among the women. Was told the manager could not get ahold of the owners to ask if this was okay. Really? Anyway, every 2 months I make a reservation for us all to go to lunch. Never been turned down before. All the food was great. This just rubbed me the wrong way.“
“The main clubhouse is located on SandyHollow Rd. And the park with lodge is located on StillmanValley Rd just south of the Rockford Airport. They have many events during the year and raise money for Cancer and Shriners. Many events are open to the public“

“Always a great experience. Drinks are reasonably priced. Bathrooms are clean and well taken care of. Have a decent selection of drinks. Dining is opened limited hours, but the food is good. Staff is awesome as are the members - very welcoming and friendly. Seems like there's always something interesting going on here and it's open to the public during membership drives. Great to support this veterans organization!“

“I just really love it here. There’s always a place for me and always a happy face to serve me. The food is great, everything is great and the friendly atmosphere means everything to me. I’m an older single female and usually come for the fish fry on Fridays but everything I’ve had here is very good. I never get any weird looks for being alone and female whether I sit at a table or the bar and that means the world to me because sometimes I just want to get away. I would give them more stars if I could because I’ve been here quite a few times now and the service has always been second to none and that’s very hard to find these days. Always a pleasure to have a bite to eat or just chill out!“
