“This is our 2nd time using D&D Shack. Food was wonderful! I had all new things offered, everyone raved about it all, especially the Angry Chicken Wrap. Chef was able to pivot at a moments notice when outside factors changed. He remained calm and professional. This truck is worth the try!

“Listen this food is just too good. I hate meal prep (and cooking tbh) but wanted to eat better. I felt so lucky to find Bri and her team-- the food they make is magic and I swear to gods they trick me into eating more veggies all the time. And then the comfort food? The fried rice and the Mac n cheese and the jerk wings (even the vegan Mac n cheese, btw)? You don't even know. Last but not least- let me say that these folks are also so kind and thoughtful. Whether it's a heads up about something being out, bringing food to door when you aren't home, a cute note on the takeout bag, or offering a random extra juice one time when I picked up - they care about the food they are making and the community they are creating. Cannot say enough good things about this business 🙌💜“

“Finding the right caterer for our wedding was stressful to say the least - we wanted to make sure the food was great, especially if we were allocating the biggest portion of our wedding budget to it. We were very worried ... until we met Alyson at Hearty Boys & did our tasting there. The food is fun and so tasty - packed with flavor and executed perfectly for the big day! Alyson is so kind and made us feel like we were uniquely important to her (even though shes working with dozens of couples at a time). We also have to give a special shout out to Alan - Alan was our dedicated server for the night (which was such a nice touch we weren't expecting) and he took care of all our needs with speed and kindness. “If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding or event BOOK THEM!! The food was delicioussss! We received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Meghann was extremely helpful & accommodating during the planning process. Anything I needed she made sure it was taken care of. Our day of coordinator Luis was awesome as well as all of the staff there. Everyone was super friendly and always on top of everything. Immediately after the ceremony was over we had a drink in hand and apps in our bridal suite for us. We were blown away by the food and everything from start to finish. We hope to have an event in the future to use them and have their delicious food again!“

She knows what she is doing, and despite the fact that we had a lot to get setup that we designed ourselves (so we didn't have a vendor dedicated to getting our centerpieces and such setup), they did it perfectly and we were blown away when we walked in.

“We are so thrilled that we chose to go with Food for Thought for our August wedding! We got married at the Chicago Cultural Center, and while the venue has a number of preferred caterers, FFT was the one on that list that stood out to us. From the first phone call to the final calls and emails, they were so easy to communicate and plan with. Many of our guests said that this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and we agree we them! The hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and custom drinks were all so delicious; everything turned out perfectly.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kacilynn, who was the one responsible for planning, organizing, and executing everything for us. When we met her for the tasting, she happily answered all of our questions and was just so fun to talk and work with. I had countless questions and updates throughout the planning process, especially in the final weeks, and she was responsive to everything.
One special thing she helped with was the champagne flutes; I had thrifted, cleaned, and packed over 100 champagne flutes for guests to use and take home, and I had been nervous this would be a burden to them to deal with, but she assured me that it could be done. She took the time to help me decide on a display option for them, and her team cleaned them before and after the event and packed away any leftover flutes. Her attention to detail and her ability to pull everything together seamlessly is truly unmatched.
We are beyond grateful to Kacilynn, her team, and everyone else at Food for Thought for making the food and drinks a true highlight of our wedding!“

The appetizers, diner, deserts, gelato cart, hot dog cart, delicious! We had all great reviews from our guests. We were able to have an outside organizer decorate the hall for us and they worked very well together which made it possible for us to relax and enjoy the process. I HAD TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE PIZZA BEFORE I LEFT OUT AND IT WAS A CLASSIC LOOKING THING OF BEAUTY. I HAD TO TRY A SLICE BEFORE CLOSING THE BOX BACK AND MY TASTE BUDS WERE GREETED WITH PIPING HOT DELICIOUSNESS.
