“This was my first time to a Sharks Fish & Chicekn, and I wasn’t sure what to get.
At first I thought I’d get shrimp, but I decided I wanted fish. Then it was a question of a fish burger or a fish sandwich. I asked the two young adults I saw working, what kind of fish, and they said catfish. I had never had catfish before, but I decided to try it and I’m glad I did. I let them decide between the burger or sandwich, and the woman said burger because she liked the bun.
So, I ordered a fish burger with everything, which ended up being a filet broken in half with a slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
It was made fresh to order and tasted great!!

The breading was crunchy, and the fish was perfectly cooked, not overdone. Their catfish was very mild, which I’m happy about. Most of the flavor came from the breading and the mayo based sauce.

They also gave me fries to try. These are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They are thicker than most place’s fries, almost like steak fries, but they are battered rather than having skin on them. I enjoyed them.

All in all, I’m thrilled to have stopped by and given this place a try. I will be back to try more.“

We went today around lunchtime and we also had a great lady waitress she was amazing as well,Gave us information on the food we was ordering…..And I’ve been a Chef for well over 15 years! “Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

“The staff makes you feel like family every time you go there. The food is amazing also and they always know how to cook my filet just right as a lot of places either under or over cook it. Mr. Benny's is old school and we love it! It's a treat when we go there.“

“Tried the Oak Park location on a Wednesday night. It was FANTASTIC! I got a pound of Alaskan King crab legs, and while they didn’t come with crab crackers, we only had a little trouble breaking the meat out. Phenomenal crab legs. They came with perfectly seasoned red potatoes and corn on the cob. My partner ordered (fried) shrimp tacos and could not stop raving about them. The shrimp was very fresh. We also ordered fresh cut fries and they were outstanding, though they could use a bit more seasoning. But extra seasoning was brought upon request. The owner, Shawn, brought out the food, was attentive to our needs, and even struck up a friendly conversation as we left. Fantastic decor/theme, friendly staff and exceptional service! 10/10, and we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great dinner! Two dinners, since I had leftovers!“

I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. “Food and service were fantastic. We were thrilled to find this place open after 11PM. Our flight was late, and my coworker and I had to drive two hours before arriving at our hotel. Starving and desperate, we found this food joint about to close but they graciously let us eat inside, serving us the best food ever!

The staff didn't rush us or even hint at kicking us out like they do in NY or NJ. The food was absolutely delicious. I got the King Nachos, and my coworker got the fried catfish. Plus, two iced teas for a total of $36. A fair price for a meal that saved us from gnawing on the hotel’s pillows!

Now, the area is a bit sketchy. We, the only two people in business suits, definitely stood out like sore thumbs. Lol. After we finished, the staff politely closed up shop. Thanks again, folks, for the great service!

They forgot my chicken wings 😔 so I called up there he went above and beyond it was their bad so I have chicken coming to me and I happen to pass that way everyday so if you have a taste for finger licking chicken go see Karim at this sharks“
