“Just had my first time here yesterday and my first seafood boil. This place is a hidden gem! I have never had seafood so delicious! The place was clean, the staff was friendly and the waitress was knowledgeable. Food came out fast and was fresh. I throughly enjoyed my experience. They can fit a lot of people but it wasn't many folks there for a Friday evening. Hope this place sticks around for awhile and more folks hear about how good they are.“

“Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

“Ate here tonight and the food was wonderful. We had jerk turkey tips, jerk salmon and shrimp, yam, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheese and fried rice. Everything was tasty, hot, freshly made and spicy. The ladies were super friendly, helpful and provided great service. We will definitely be back to try other items. Ask about the specials that aren’t in the regular menu. Yum!“

“Was picking up chicken for the fellas for a NFL game watch gathering. Did not order in advance and wished I had, but that's on me. Chicken was great and you get 2 hot sauces (mild and hot) on the side. Place is clean and staff was great. Suggest placing your order in advance if you want to save the waiting time.“

However, I want to specifically highlight a young man by the name of Dominick. I can’t say enough about Dominick. He possesses exemplary customer service skills. Every encounter I have had with him, he has been very courteous, very professional, very engaging and above all has gone the extra mile to accommodate my “special requests“. In addition, my most recent encounter, approximately two weeks ago, I could see the absolute joy he received when seeing how happy I was when he was, once again, able to Grant a special request for me. “Food is flavorful. I loved the langostinos and the michelada. The restaurant layout is nice and spacious. It has a bar in the middle. However, this location is fairly new so you won't see many people here yet, so don't be discouraged to try out this place. We barely discovered it and it's so close to us! It's been open since January 2025.“

“Love this place - the chicken is always good. BUT if I order wings and ask for “mild sauce on the side” I only want mild sauce. I ordered 8 wings with mild sauce on the side and got 1 cup of mild sauce and 1 cup of hot sauce - I never asked for hot sauce so now I have 8 wings with 1 cup of sauce.“

“I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Shrimp Shack in Munster! I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, which came with fries and bread.
The catfish was definitely the star of the meal! The fillet was a great size and fried to perfection at least to my liking. 😋 The shrimp was pretty average, but still good. The fries were cooked extra crispy, which may be perfect for someone who loves a good crunch.
The bread was a little hard, and I’m guessing that may have been because it was placed directly on top of the hot fish.
I also really liked the nice decor and clean lobby area, and the customer service I received was friendly and welcoming. Another plus was that the wait wasn’t long at all!
I’m not sure how much business they normally get, but in my opinion, Shrimp Shack is a good spot for a quick bite to eat. Overall, the food was good, the service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and that catfish was the highlight for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“The food is delicious!!! Has the shrimp gumbo and would go back everyday for it if I could. The service has been amazing and is the real star of the restaurant. Kelsie has been our server both times and is the reason why we came back a 2nd time.“

“The tacos are small, authentic and delicious. Good enough for me to order two to go. Except they didnt make my to-go tacos the same. It had too much cheese. The host/bartender/waitress did not speak English and most of the food on the menu didnt exist. I wanted chicken quesadillas and she shook her head no. I wasn't sure if she didn't have chicken quesadillas or no quesadillas at all. I asked about other items on the menu and she smiled and frowned at the same time. So I ordered chicken tacos to simplify things. It took a lot to get her attention. She gravitated to the guys in my party. Little did she know, they weren't paying or tipping. The classic margarita with the red margarita salt was delicious. Lastly, there was a couple dinning at a table near by filming me and my friends. I'll be fine if I don't revisit this restaurant.“

I had several questions, and she took the time to answer every single one without ever seeming bothered.
