“The tacos are small, authentic and delicious. Good enough for me to order two to go. Except they didnt make my to-go tacos the same. It had too much cheese. The host/bartender/waitress did not speak English and most of the food on the menu didnt exist. I wanted chicken quesadillas and she shook her head no. I wasn't sure if she didn't have chicken quesadillas or no quesadillas at all. I asked about other items on the menu and she smiled and frowned at the same time. So I ordered chicken tacos to simplify things. It took a lot to get her attention. She gravitated to the guys in my party. Little did she know, they weren't paying or tipping. The classic margarita with the red margarita salt was delicious. Lastly, there was a couple dinning at a table near by filming me and my friends. I'll be fine if I don't revisit this restaurant.“

“I’ve been here several times, and the food is consistently fresh and tasty! 🐟🔥 I did have one issue with a potato that was brown on the inside and had an unusual taste, but thankfully that was the only problem I’ve experienced. The broccoli and coleslaw were both really good, and I usually don’t even eat coleslaw! 😋 My favorite is definitely the spicy cod-it’s so good! ❤ The customer service is also on point, and the guys are always friendly and welcoming. 🙏🏾 Overall, always a great experience!“

“Ordered the catfish, shrimp and chicken wings. Also the nachos. All super delicious. The only downside was that the dining area was too hot to eat comfortably. I am visiting out of town and ate at the location. Otherwise, the dining area was clean.“

“Today was my first time there. The food is delicious my kids love it but I don’t feel I had the great service. First, we didn’t get the napkins and utensils on time but way after the food got there. A drink spilled on me (our fault) which made me realized there was no napkins provided, by the time we found the lady for napkins I was soaking wet. Then we were about to start eating and my children needed a fork, well no fork was provided. We ordered 3 seafood boils, no utensils for that were provided neither. My husband ordered an extra drink, never was it brought to us. I’m happy my kids enjoyed it, but we were not that pleased as we saw others being treated differently. Not sure if we will be returning.“

“Amazing smoked beef brisket sandwich with fresh cut fries. Everything was was made fresh and served piping hot. The BBQ sauce is delicious... sweet, smoky and a tad spicy. The portions are large and well worth the money. If in the area again, I would definitely go back.“

“This is by far the best JJ Fish in the city of Chicago!! The food is consistently fresh, and the staff is welcoming. I also came in to place an order on Super Bowl. “Ate here tonight and the food was wonderful. We had jerk turkey tips, jerk salmon and shrimp, yam, greens, cabbage, Mac and cheese and fried rice. Everything was tasty, hot, freshly made and spicy. Went with the langostinos Nayarit style after the waiter talked it up, heavy on garlic and totally worth the hype. Brought wine since it's BYOB, just know there's a limit on how much per person so don't overdo it. Salsa on the table is not playing around, respect it. Solid spot for a seafood night.“

However, I want to specifically highlight a young man by the name of Dominick. I can’t say enough about Dominick. He possesses exemplary customer service skills. Every encounter I have had with him, he has been very courteous, very professional, very engaging and above all has gone the extra mile to accommodate my “special requests“. In addition, my most recent encounter, approximately two weeks ago, I could see the absolute joy he received when seeing how happy I was when he was, once again, able to Grant a special request for me. “Visited from STL and this time the owner was there. Very chill laid back good time. This particular night they had karaoke, which was fun. The bartenders are friendly and know how to pour. Shavon kept the drinks coming! The owner is hands on, friendly professional and made sure to show us out of towners hospitality. After a few dances and drinks we ordered food to go. This spot is always on a list even if it’s a short visit. Stop by for a mature crowd and a good time.“
