“This restaurant really shocked me with the taste of the food. The food was so delicious I wanted to chew my fingers off too to get all the rest of the goodness off of it. This may sound funny but seriously, the food was so good and although I don't live in Illinois but every time I come to visit I will come to this place. I love the chicken Alfredo. Thank you to the staff and the owner that happened to be there at the time for the hospitality and for such great service. The prices are reasonable and that's shocking because the food is too good for the prices that they are. I think they should be more but I'm grateful for where they are. I recommend this place. If you want good food, please visit them get your food from there you will thank me and please give them a great review as well because this place really deserves all of that. “I went thru the drive thru and ordered some rib tips, jerk wings, and a 1/2 chicken dinner and the food was sooo good def my fav barbecue spot. My cashier was real sweet too i think her name was nicole but yea 10/10 would go back i just wish they served hot “
“It was a little after 9:00pm on a Saturday, when I spotted this J & J Restaurant. I went inside to place my order and was immediately impressed by its cleanliness. The floor, tables/seats, counters and the food preparation area...all very clean.The young woman that took my order was friendly and courteous. There was only one person ahead of me, however, some people had phoned in their orders, so there was a waiting period. I didn't mind because the time went so quickly. Also, unlike other J & J's, this one has a drive-thru.I ordered 3 dinners to go; a small jack salmon, a small ocean perch and a 6 pc. chicken wing dinner. Extras included an order of fried okra, hush puppies and a corn on the cob (a full size ear). Each dinner included:French fries, a very small cup of coleslaw and 2 slices of white bread in addition to the mild and hot sauce they provide.The fish was fried to perfection, light and crispy, not greasy. The chicken was also fried to perfection, crispy and not hard or greasy. All the side dishes were well prepared. Since none of us eats coleslaw or white bread, I can't speak about them.As for being different, in addition to its drive-thru, this J & J offers a variety of foods that I've never seen offered in any of the others; tacos, spaghetti, and a selection of salads, just to name a few.“
