“Fabulous night last week Friday 4/19 and again for the Anniversary party tonight on 4/25. All the Managment team and Staff throughout the night were amazing. I would especially like to call out Lea, Leann, and Ace. On both nights not only did they take care of the parties I was with, they went above and beyond and treated us like family. I appreciate the kindness and the education about the fish and the drinks. Everyone is so amazing. Everyone is so amazing and kind. We couldn't be more happy with out experiences. My crew willbe returning again and again.“

“Stopped in because I was soooo hungry and forgot my yogurt in the fridge and had a 10 A.M. meeting. The guy, who I assume is the owner, was beyond nice and HONEST. When I asked him how long it would take to get something with eggs to go he said like 5 min. He was spot on! Had a steak and egg sandwich - normally do not eat that way in the morning but it was EGGSELLENT! Will be back for sure when I am in the area to try something else! The place is also very clean, so I really hit the jackpot today!!! Love the name too LOL“

“Somehow got lucky and got seated as we walked in. A quick summary:1.) Ordered Sen Cha tea, beef gyoza, and Monster ramen. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Only thing I didn’t like was the limited menu add on options compared to some other ramen places around Chicago.2.) Parking can be difficult to find in the area when it’s busy.3.) Service is top line. They refill waters/tea and clear dishes so fast. Dessert menu came immediately after the main course.“

“My wife and I loved the steamed dumplings with mild sauce. The dumplings were very good with or without sauce, but the sauce was delicious too. Chicken tikka masala was one of the best tasting we’ve ever had. Samosa chaat was very good too, one of the better ones. The garlic naan was a bit more plain tasting than we’d live. We highly recommend this place overall and will definitely eat here again and try other stuff!“

“Very clean and cute shop with wonderful service. The people were very polite and food was quick. I got the orange chicken and it was outstanding. A lot of place use a sugary/ fake tasting orange sauce, but Broccoli has a very authentic and delightful taste. Our appetizers were super good, too. I was in town for a convention but I'd happily drive the hour it takes to get there to eat at Broccoli again.“

“Unbelievable ramen! I could have just drank the broth! The noodles and the pork belly were an added bonus lol! Come hungry, a lot of food! Will be back for sure! I had the umami ramen and the spicy level 2 is not really spicy at all, which was fine with me. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We expected something a little different since looking at the menu online, I couldn't really pinpoint the cuisine. Greek? Mediterranean? Asian? Polish? Middle Eastern? Well, doing a little Googling at the restaurant,it appears to be Uzbekistan. The beet salad was amazing, and I got the Lamb Kababs, called Shashlik. Really, really good. The entrees appeared to all be served on a wooden board, with your choice of side, sauce, and protein served on a small pita. I got a Old Fashioned cocktail, which was also really good. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Will be going back to try some of the other items on creative menu featuring a lot of options.“

“Recently tried Sushi Hall and loved it. Such a cool new spot in Lincoln park with a speakeasy bar. Really like the colors and vibes of this place . The service is also quick and the staff is friendly. The food was a 10/10. Unforgettable taste, impeccable craftsmanship, and a symphony of freshness await you at Sushi Hall. This is probably my FAVORITE spot I've been to recently. It has an outdoor patio too, making it the perfect spot for SUMMER. We tried the Hamachi on the Hall, The Friends Night Out, The Moulton, Gyoza, and Togarashi Fries. Each dish was so flavorful and the portion sizes were good too. Hamachi on the hall was my absolute favorite. I will definitely be back to try other things on their menu.“

“A long overdue review. Noodlebird is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. Every dish is full-flavored, bold, and made with thoughtful and creative pairings. The smoked tofu is incredible, the curry is my favorite, the peanut noodles are so soft and delicious, and the veggie Mac soup is one of my favorites. The bakery is also one of the best in the city. The creative desserts like mochi doughnuts, banana caramel brownie (my favorite brownie ever), the egg tarts (a must if you’ve never tried), the passion fruit Masada, and so many more are the perfect way to end the meal. The service is top notch, timely, super friendly, and warm.Noodlebird deserves any and all accolades for its super-creative dishes, friendly service, intensely flavored food, etc.“

“Grew up right down the block from this building and it amazes me how much this restaurant has impacted the neighborhood. I adore Mott st for many reasons but the food is definitely a major factor. Mott st is an Asian American restaurant that pairs eastern cooking techniques with Chicago ingredients to create umami laden flavors. Some of my top dishes that I never think twice about is definitely the Mott burger, stuffed cabbage, Korean mussels hot pot, everything wings and mango sticky rice! The burger is to die for! From the textures to the flavors is absolutely insane. Love getting the wings because they pair them with tzatziki instead of ranch which is brilliant. Mussels hot pot truly hits home and pairing it with the garlic fried rice or shrimp noodles is a bonus. I’ve also paired the mussels before with the stuffed cabbage which also blew my mind.Stuffed cabbage on its own is absolutely bananas. The pan seared kimchi and braised pork shoulder complements the kimchi broth so well yet emphasizes the crispy rice. Definitely a dish I will never get tired of.Somehow I always manage to devour 5-8 dishes and still have room for dessert. We decided to order all 3 desserts since they never disappoint. I was so happy when I saw that they brought back the mango sticky rice!!! I swear by this dessert, reminds me of my childhood it’s so nostalgic and tasty. Chocolate Bundt cake with pickled kumquats was delicious and warm ricotta donuts were so good with a berry jam dip.Mott st is a restaurant I never miss to mention to my friends. Truly a gem in wicker park.Parking: Mott st offers a small parking spot but it’s only five spaces so if there’s none available street parking is basically your only option.Kid-friendliness: Saw a few kids as I was dining and seemed to be enjoying the food as well.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor no stairs extremely easy to maneuver with a wheelchair.“

“Talk about heaven in a bowl. It was my bday week and a friend wanted to take me out. I had seen this video on Instagram of someone enjoying a bowl of ramen with a colossal beef rib and was intrigued enough to see it for myself. The interior had a fabulous island Filipino vibe with greens and oranges. The staff was diverse and accommodating. I spilled my water in the first minutes of my experience, and the staff was so quick and helpful to respond. My friend and I got drinks. I initially ordered Old Fashioned, and I can't remember what she first did, but it was purple, and I ended up liking hers more, so we traded. For appetizers, we got delicious dumplings and the roasted duck bun, which was also super tasty, and I highly recommend it. Regarding the main course, I came here for one mission, the beef Rib Ramen. Words can't fully express or comprehend how delicious this bowl of excellence was. So many flavors of spice balance in the broth accompanying fresh noodles, and laid enormously over the bowl is a four-hour roasted bone-in rib. Upon picking the rib up, the meat fell into the broth as if to say I was ready. It was simply delicious and, by far, one of the best meals I've ever had. The broth and noodles were also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. My friend and I both enjoyed it as she also enjoyed her meal. Overall, this was the most accessible five stars I've ever given. Please enjoy Bite. They deserve your business. 5 out of 5“

“I love the food, as a vegetarian it's hard to find options when eating out and this place delivers. The prices are high, but the portions are decent. My only suggestion would be not to charge extra for a little extra sauce. It ruins the experience and I don't know if you gain anything by doing that.“

“This is definitely the best Korean Gastro Pub I've ever been to. Great food with reasonable price. All the dishes we ordered were delicious. We had their Pork Bossam and squid salad with noodle. Come early or really late cause this place is busy during dining hour and parking can be difficult. The staff is always on top of everything, very fast and attentive, always ready to welcome you with a smile. The atmosphere is so authentic and really makes you feel like you are at a pub in Korea! Love this place and will continue to be a frequent customer, highly recommend! Nice place to hang out with friends and family. Thank you, New Village Gastro Pub!“

“Went to try this place for my 1st time. When I went in I wasn't sure if I was in the right place. They have construction going on inside and there wasn't a name on the building or inside. Felt confused if I was in some type of office warehouse or something not sure. But I have to admit their food was amazing ?. They have so many choices to pick from. I definitely will be going back to try different plates. The price for the bowls is fair not over priced.“

“During a class, I asked for suggestions for Vietnamese food and this was the suggestion. We arrived around 5:30ish on a Wednesday and was immediately seated. We placed our orders and the food began arriving...Every single item ordered was hot and fresh. We started with springrolls, they were small and unassuming but we were so wrong. That filling was perfectly seasoned. We had the crispy wings and it you like plain wings with an amazing crunch....this should be your go to. Those wings were dynamite. We ordered flank pho...the small bowl and it was ginormous. The broth was perfection and the fresh veggie platter was plentiful.Overall this was a great choice that was very reasonably priced.“

“04/02/24 - What an awesome add to the neighborhood. Teriyaki Madness is in the mall next to The Smash burger on Foster Ave. It's less than 1/2 mile from my house. I actually sampled their chicken teriyaki @ a Yelp event up in Lake Bluff @ Bernie's Book Bank. Teriyaki Madness has a store up in Gurnee, IL The teriyaki comes in 3 different sizes, Junior, regular or large. I ordered the regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl & it was more than enough for me as I had a little bit of left overs to take home. They have different options like regular or spicy chicken, chicken breast teriyaki, steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tofu teriyaki & chicken katsu. Wry good seasoning w Great options. They also have appetizers like edamame, egg rolls, chicken potstickers & crab Rangoon. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the grilled chicken teriyaki served over brown rice w/veggies like cabbage & broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal & scarfed it down. I will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the steak teriyaki or chicken katsu.“

“this is my first Yelp review, I just had to say some good words about this place. my friends and I came in after a long day around 8:20 and the man at the counter was very nice, he said if our food comes out late we can stay like 10 minutes after they close. we left before they closed at 9 since the food came out quickly but his gesture was very kind, and the food was delicious. wonderful vibe and polite staff, I felt very welcomed. thank you so much for your kindness :)“

“Quiet hole in the wall place. Worth every penny and definitely coming back. Satay chicken was perfect, tender and juicy and the sauce on the side is essentially peanut butter with coconut milk. The Nong Thong were fried extra crispy and are really hot when served, definitely wait a minute before grabbing and it comes with sweet chilli sauce, but the sweet chilli sauce is the stuff you can get at the store. Their salad has a nice light vinaigrette on it. Their Tom Yum soup is sour, threw us off initially and if you get it medium heat, it's really spicy and the spice coats everything. The pineapple fried rice is a really large serving, almost seems likes it's supposed to be shared by the table. Again, medium heat is pretty spicy, but on the pineapple fried rice it's a slow build and it lingers for a long time. That being said, the spice is only in the mouth and doesn't burn the stomach.Vegetarian options: Lots of tofu or imitation meat optionsDietary restrictions: Can be veganParking: Parking is a crap shootKid-friendliness: Easy with the spice level, medium is not for beginnersWheelchair accessibility: First floor, no steps“

“I come here for the Bring It On Noodles. This is a soup that tastes like nothing I've ever had. It combines the best of Thai flavors. The soup is spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, and packed with umami flavor. All of the elements of this soup pair so well together. 10/10 for this soup that I have damn near once/week. “What a lovely marvel - a mid century modern, quietly spacious Chinese restaurant with a select menu that fits in a small, two page flyer. The service was super friendly and gracious, all questions answered. We had a small dim sum lunch and each dish was prepared to order, some of the best I've had - steamed shrimp dumplings, bbq pork bau, sticky rice with pork wrapped in a leaf and steamed. Even the subtle music - beautiful jazz singing - made us happy. I so want to come back to this gem next time I'm in CHI.“

“We just moved to Portage Park and have been here several times. The sushi is so fresh and good quality, service is absolutely outstanding and Kay always remembers us and makes us feel like family. “This place was absolutely fantastic! We dined in and got the chive dumplings, green curry with chicken and the cashew chicken and rice. We came in with zero expectations as we were taking a walk around town when we got here and the smell alone drew us in for dinner. The service was stellar, kept joe rob the waters and super attentive but not too much at the same time. It was a very intimate spot, not much seating so if you tend to struggle with sensory issues try to come when not busy or get it to go. The food was so fresh and PACKED with flavor. Really felt like it was the warm respite we needed on a rainy evening. Highly recommend.“

“Food and desserts were great BUT they take FOREVER to bring out the meats. No problem timely bringing out anything else we ordered though. Sus. Our waiter was very friendly when we were seated and when she came with items but didn’t check on us outside of just dropping off. Funny thing though, she asked if we needed change on our payment that would’ve been a tip equating more than 50% of the total bill. I was shocked she even asked. She also didn’t tell us that she needed a manager for the change so we sat there for a while wondering if she misheard and kept the change until finally we got tired of waiting, we wanted to leave! We had spent 2+ hours there and probably more than half that time waiting for meats so we asked and thats when she told us why. Food was bomb though LOL.“

“I came here for a pick up order. Had the steak bowl and chicken bowl. The bowls were very tasty. I particular the steak which I really enjoyed. The steak had a grilled taste and was marinated perfectly. The bowls came with a cup of miso soup which was not watered down like many other places. I initially felt bad ordered 10 minutes before closing but the young lady working behind the register and owner were very nice and welcoming. The interior of the restaurant had a Chipolti fell to it but much brighter and less sterile. For a quick lunch or dinner, this is a great spot centrally located in Wilmette downtown. “I cautiously entered the aging bowling alley to decide for myself if Boba Burger is as good as I've heard. After circling the parking lot to find a space during league play it better be.The menu is a big sign on the wall and there are a lot of interesting choices. The prices are good, too. The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering the Seoul Burger. It was simply incredible. Kimchi, kalbi glazed bacon, fried egg. A perfect blend of flavors and textures, and no cutting corners on quality. So freaking good! The Thai iced tea is delicious, too.SECOND VISIT: It was so good I had to bring my fiance back with me. I guess that friendly guy at the counter owns the place with his brother. Good folks, I enjoy talking to them. She isn't as adventurous as me and ordered the more basic Boba Burger. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly seasoned, perfect sear. She was happy. This time I tried the BBQ Lechon Burger. It isn't as over-the-top as the Seoul Burger but it was still delicious. Lechon is roasted pork belly. Paired with the ground beef, barbecue sauce, and topped with an onion ring, this is another winner.Their Vietnamese iced coffee is really good. The egg rolls are above average, I had to fight her for that last one. Their fries are nicely crisped and well seasoned.Bottom line: Yes, they have earned their reputation and I plan on working my way through the whole menu.Parking: It's inside a bowling alley. If there's league play going on it could be difficult finding a spot close to the door. Otherwise there's plenty of spaces.“
