I was in Illinois for business and a coworker suggested China Style and it was delicious! The nice woman at the counter had them make BBQ Pork Fried Rice for me, to go with an order of BBQ Pork and it was all very good! The prices were standard for what Chinese food costs these days. It was so good. I came back 2 days later for more of the rice and had the Chicken with Broccoli and it was very good as well! “Whenever I try a new old style chinese restaurant, I get shrimp with lobster sauce and bbq pork something, like bbq pork fried rice or vegetables, etc.

Shrimp with lobster sauce is a very nostalgic food for me. It was something I tried 15~ish years ago from this small chinese restaurant near work. It was $5.45 lunch specials at the time, and I wanted to try something other than monglian beef, generals Tsao chicken etc.
And i fell in love ever since.

I love brown starch sauce that is made with, and it needs to have black beans and stripes of pork and egg. But some restaurants tend to make this with white sauce with pea and ground pork, or just not enough salt or msg.

Well, this place make it perfectly how I wanted, and less than 9 bucks. You can't beat this deal.
The only thing to critize is that chicken fried rice was not good...it was dry and maybe a day old.

Bbq pork was also really good, cut thick the way I also like it. You can taste rice oyster sauce, and vegetables were cooked well.

It definitely reminded me of the old spot that I loved and will be coming back to try more dishes.“
