“With no real breakfast options on Sundays in Murphy I randomly decided to try Bunmakers. We tried the Hangry Bunmaker and it did not disappoint. Big portions and great flavor that did not break the bank. The sweet lady that took my order also made me a sweet and salty iced coffee and it was SOOOOO good! 10/10 recommend and we will def order again.”

“I spent a few days in Carbondale with my son as he was going to grad school at SIU for sculpture. Cummare’s was recommended to us in Murphysboro. I have to say it was the most delicious pizza I have had in my 57 years on this earth. I know that’s a huge comment to make but we had a ham, mushroom, onion and pineapple pizza that was just perfect, that’s the only word I could use to describe it. Everything we ordered was absolutely great but the pizza heavenly. The service was wonderful, friendly and so nice and attentive. I would highly recommend Cummare’s to anyone and will definitely return anytime my son allows me to visit :-)”

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and it was the BEST I’ve ever had. I also had a bite of my fiancés cheese burger and our son’s chicken strips, they were delicious as well! Our waitress was Lillie and she was absolutely amazing, so friendly! The atmosphere is welcoming with such a great view anywhere you sit. One of the best parts, it’s kid friendly!”

“Wide open barn like atmosphere. The focus seems to be on promotions rather than the beer, but the beer isn't bad. Not the best, but not bad. If you like pumpkin beers, this is the place for you.”

“I have been going to this establishment with my family since I was a child when I was younger it was the old Rome different building and there was a restaurant on one side and then more of our atmosphere on the other side and time things changed now it's pretty much just a bar setting and as an adult I love to live close to it and be able to go down there and enjoy my free time”

Although I did not get good service Saturday night when I was there the bartender was very rude and short with customers and kept complaining in front of her customers. “The BBQ is always outstanding. This place literally sets the standard for all BBQ everywhere. I’ve had BBQ all over the country. Lots a great BBQ out there for sure, but there is none better than 17th Street. Even the sides are pretty good. This is where so many BBQ joints lose me is when they have terrible sides. We did order some potato skins and some fried pickles. Both were very good. There is a huge volume of fried pickles in one order. We got too much when we ordered 2 servings of them. Service is always good.”

“12/7/24 I’m from steeleville, this was the best burgers my mom and I have ever had at a Dairy Queen. Hot and juicy. The fries were great also. The staff was fast and great. All Dairy Queen’s should strive to be this good. They were really busy also.”

“We patronized the Marion location for years until it closed, but never this original location. We finally took the plunge and weren't disappointed. The food was awesome and in large quantities, The service was a little lackluster but that is probably because there was only one server and she had two tables outside. One thing I found amusing was this is the first BBQ restaurant I've been to that was playing reggae and ska.”
