The staff is always smiling and attentive to what we need.
Hearing the change to a breakfast place made me laugh. How unoriginal can you get? Those are a dime a dozen and none truly last long in the restaurant world. Why, it’s hard to get original with breakfast offerings. The biggest piece for success is the people. They are the main reason we would go to there.
It’s a business decision, but I don’t feel a wise one. Also, the timing couldn’t be worse. Don’t tell me you didn’t know this was happening. Have a heart for your people around the holidays!“

“Celebrated two birthdays at lunch. Atwater's is in a quaint setting surrounded by water and beautiful plantings. The food was excellent (entrees included prime rib sandwich and chicken crepes). The starter for the three of us was an outstanding cream of asparagus soup finished with balsamic and blue cheese crumbles. Desserts were excellent (creme brulee and a lemon cheesecake). The waiter couldn't have been nicer -- he was also very attentive. The lunch was as good as any dinner that we have had at a five star restaurant. This was a great all-around dining experience!!“

“Food and spirits were excellent. Started with cheese curds and chips with cello dip , think it was corn and cheese sauce spreed. Grill cheese was very Good . Chicken Caesar salad wrap was excellent. Fries 🍟 were very good . Salads excellent. Tomato soup very good. And the Beers were COLD !“

“I play for pool league out of this location, so I have to be here, but the tater tots are really what keeps me coming back! They are the best around, if you ask for them extra crispy they are very accommodating and do it with no issue! I’ve slowly started to explore the menu because you can never miss with the tots! “Stopped in with a friend after a metra ride. Hung out at this establishment while we waited for my phone to charge up and for Uber to come. Typical mixed bar of locals and commuters. Sports oriented. Did not check out the menu. We just ordered a beverage. Wait staff was kind, cheerful, and attentive. They have a nice patio as well. A great place to relax as you wait for a train or a great place to unwind after a day downtown and long train ride.“

Dietary restrictions: They have it but I'm not on a diet so I eat the regular foods and it is delicious.

Parking: Alot and they have enough handicap right up front and they serve them first unless you asked them not to.“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“We went here for a Friday night fish fry. We did carry out but they are open to the public. Fried cod, baked potato and coleslaw. Myhusband liked the fish alot but said it needed a little lemon or something to spice it up. I had fried shrimp which were very large with a baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was not that great, but we enjoyed the rest of the meal alot. I would recommend this place for a good inexpensive fish fry.“

“I just want to give a big Kudos out to the staff at Stoney's Tavern in Aurora. I was out with a group of family and friends on Friday night February 10th 2023 celebrating my birthday! We had an Amazing night.I want to thank our bartender Mel for taking such good care of our group. The service was Awesome the music was Great and she was on Point the entire night. Thank you Mel! It was a Amazing experience and we had a hell of a good time. We Absolutely will be back!“

“Poor service and horrible beer. I ordered a brew dog hazy IPA and the waitress brought me some kind of red ale which is clearly not a hazy IPA. See attachment for what the beer should look like and what they brought me. Waitress does nothing to remediate the situation. Never seen such a poorly run business. Staff have bad attitudes and beer was definitely not right. Maybe it was spoiled or they substituted a cheaper product. Do not go here.“

“We held a training event at Eden Events, and it was wonderful. The decor and view of the river was serene and contributed to the overall success of the event. Participants commented how much better it was than a typical conference center with no windows. The food was outstanding, and the staff very accommodating and easy to work with. We hope to be back!“

Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! “Great bar and great food. The wings are very good, wet or dry, there are a lot of options, I usually go with the Cajun dry rub.. Bingo is Wednesday night and a lot of fun, plus the wings are half off that day. Burgers are excellent. Jackie is fun and is always lively. Good people there too. And some slots if you’re into that.“
