“Tried the express menu last weekend for the first time and was NOT disappointed. Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

“Best bagels in the city. Sam makes them from scratch! The Sammy pesto is one of my favs.the deli itself is so cozy and vibrant. Such a cute place to sit and relax over a bagel and coffee. Every detail has been thought out including having nice changing pads for families!! Much appreciated. Highly recommend.“

Sarah Ann, Remedy, and Andrea were absolutely incredible to work with. From the very start, they were so attentive, answering all of our questions and providing the highest level of customer service. Their professionalism and care made the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. On the wedding day, the entire staff was on top of everything. They were professional, kind, and ensured everything ran seamlessly. And the food—wow! Our guests are still talking about how delicious it was. “From the moment we stepped into this incredible Arab restaurant, we were welcomed with the kind of warmth and hospitality that made us feel like family. The atmosphere was inviting and beautifully decorated, but it was the service—and especially the owner—that truly made this experience unforgettable. The food was absolutely phenomenal. What truly set this restaurant apart, though, was the hospitality. The owner personally came over to greet us and made sure my entire family was comfortable and well taken care of. It’s rare to find someone who treats guests with such heartfelt attention. This was a memorable experience. I can’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for not just incredible food, but also to be treated with the kind of warmth and generosity that leaves a lasting impression. “Wow is all I can say. You provided amazing box lunches for JMD Angels Foundation annual board retreat. One of our board members, Errika Williams, sponsored our lunch and made an excellent choice! The lunches were fully packed with more than enough food. We enjoyed a salad and fruit cup, a slice of cake, chips, pop and a very delicious sandwich. Everyone raved about the food. Thank so much! Job well done!“

“We have been lucky to attend this hall on multiple occasions from a production company standpoint. The hall is not the best for sound reinforcement as you will need a separate rig pointed to where the main entrance is to ensure you will have even coverage for all patrons. However, it is a minor detail that with the right professional shouldn't be a problem. The catering was very good and the space looked very nice. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a nice event space.“
“We have used Rome's Joy Catering for two large events now (serving 50-100 people each time), and their team has been excellent to work with! Tiffany is incredibly helpful in talking through menu options, setup, and making the ordering process very easy through their online portal. Each time, the food has arrived on-time (or even early) - with a phone call to let me know they've arrived. I really appreciate that Rome's Joy can do anything from sandwiches to more formal cocktail food. The items come very nicely plated with pretty garnishes, so it all looks fresh and inviting to guests - and amazingly delicious!“

“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident.We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner.They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“

“I am recommending the restaurant based on past experiences at previous location. Even though the service was slow, the food was delicious and the man who served us had a great attitude. However, this new location is closer to my house and I would be a frequent customer if they would ever answer the phone. I called both numbers on this page. One is out of service the other never gets answered. I want to see this restaurant succeed. It is Black owned and I want to support it. Please update your number on Facebook to the correct number that will get answered. Until I am able to call to place an order, I will place my order at Daisy's Cafe 2 in Hazel Crest. It's a longer drive, but They always answer their phone.“

“This is hands down the best food I’ve had in years ! The corn bread muffins are served in CORN HUSKS…the pulled chicken sandwich came with an actual chicken leg and wing on the side! Then throw in the free music playing, it is absolutely a favorite for me from now on!“

“Food was great and flavorful , big portions for the price. Tacos de Carne Asada are my go to along with the chile rellenos . They have the BEST Menudo I have ever tried, not watery at all like most, and it is packed with flavor. I definitely recommend the menudo, a must.“

The Pizza is great and flavorful, the chicken is amazing,tasty & moist by far some of the best chicken I've ever had here in the Cicero, Berwyn area.The owner is super humble easy to talk too extremely pleasant, and he is all about the neighborhood he is taking care of us based in his prices !! compared to other locations where it's all about making money and not the customer. “I had her food when she was on 87th East of Ashland and it was Good then. This past Sunday I ate it again for Soul Food Sundays and it was as even Better.
