“Turquoise was absolutely AMAZING! I've done quite a few food reviews over the years because I'm definitely a foodie, and I have to say—this was by far one of the best dining experiences I've had. The food was authentic and incredibly delicious, and the staff was phenomenal—prompt, courteous, attentive, and on top of everything. Even the bread and dip were incredible! The dip was so light and refreshing, made with yogurt, thinly sliced carrots, garlic, basil, and the most delicious blend of flavors. It was one of those things you just keep going back for. I seriously wish I had the recipe! The calamari literally melted in our mouths, and the beet salad was fresh, crisp, and so refreshing. But the lamb shank and mushroom risotto... OH. DEAR. GOD. 😂 That was like diving into a plate of heaven. The risotto was ridiculously good—creamy, rich, and perfectly prepared. And the lamb? Like butter. So tender it practically fell apart. From the bread and appetizers to the entrées and service, everything was exceptional. WOW. Turquoise, you absolutely knocked it out of the park. “If I could give this restaurant six stars, I absolutely would! The food was exquisite from beginning to end. Every appetizer was delicious, and the hummus was honestly the best hummus I’ve ever had!

We’re visiting from Dallas, and Rahman bhai was so kind and made sure we tried one of the best items on the menu. “Delicious Somali restaurant in Chicago suburbs. My first visit to a Somali restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good. Loved the Goat with rice and vegetables. Their tea was good too. Didn't care much for the orange juice made from concentrate. Lady at the counter does all the billing and orders. She spoke decent english. Had to wait to use the bathroom, which was not gender segregated. Interior is very basic, but food makes up for it.“

“For the amount and quality of food you get for the price, this place is a steal. After traveling all day and parking at the Cumberland Blue Line, we came down the road to Bab Alsalam and I cannot rave enough how amazing this place is and will be coming back each and every single time we travel out of O'Hare. The food was not only delicious, but so much flavor punched into every bite. We ordered a Chicken Shawarma Entree and the Mixed Shawarma and both were exceptional in taste. Comes with salads, pita bread, and incredibly flavorful hummus. Attached is a photo of how much food they give you. It's massive. We had enough for leftovers the next day. “Took my date here from dinner as she recommended, and was pleased as punch that it was as good as she advertised! Service was lightning quick, atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming, and the food was divine. It was my first time having Indian cuisine, and it did not disappoint one bit! I had the Butter Chicken and my date had the Cheese Dosa. Both came out hot and appetizing, and the Butter Chicken tasted amazing. 10/10, would absolutely eat here almost every day if I could.

“I usually LOVE this place. But the food has been very inconsistent lately at the Troy, MI location. I get the same thing every week. And every week it’s a little different. I get the mixed platter. Last week there was no sauce, and I always order extra on the side, but the little cup was only half full. So, no sauce on the platter, and barely any on the side. This week there were more onions than gyro/chicken. Barely any meat; very meager portion. And still, side of sauce only half full. Super disappointed. I’ll give them one more chance, then I’ll have to stop giving them my business.“

“Okay, my friend and I were in Elmwood Park and she was craving a burger. Quick Google search revealed Burger Moovement. We had no idea what to expect. Wow! We were very pleasantly surprised by how good the burger and the chicken sandwich were. DELICIOUS!!! The restaurant is clean. The staff are friendly and professional. Everything is fresh. It was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. And they easily accommodated my request to customize my sandwich. We will be going back. Oh, and the thin fries were fabulous.
