“This has become our special occasion dinner spot. We are always fiending to try new plates every time and 3 or 4 plates fills us up as a couple! Amazing service and atmosphere. My favorite dishes are the kappa bonda (fried yucca bites), kallumakaya (mussels), and pazham pori (dessert plantains). MUST order the ginger cooler as your drink, wishing I could have this on every hot and sunny day! Can't wait to come back for another dinner. Also, very easy to park for free on Fletcher.“

“My wife and I loved the steamed dumplings with mild sauce. The dumplings were very good with or without sauce, but the sauce was delicious too. Chicken tikka masala was one of the best tasting we’ve ever had. Samosa chaat was very good too, one of the better ones. The garlic naan was a bit more plain tasting than we’d live. We highly recommend this place overall and will definitely eat here again and try other stuff!“

“Tried this place with my family. The ambiance is great. Server briefed us the menu - very helpful. We started with the Chai - which was great (we are regular Chai drinkers). Broccoli squash and Eggplant bao were average. But the Butter Chicken Calzone was BOMB. Kebab pizza was tasteful but felt low on toppings. We actually loved their take on Sambar Vada (Tamarind Dal) - perfect flavors. Was looking forward to trying the Chai Cake - but they were out. Maybe next timeOverall loved the thought and execution of these fusion dishes. Clearly not supposed to be authentic Indian food. Will be back to their brunch now“

“Moti Modern Indian Kitchen is bringing flare to Lincoln Park! I think their Modern Fusion Pizza restaurant is a great idea for this location. It's fun, fast casual Indian fusion that won't break your bank account. Great for the neighborhood and DePaul students! We tried the Sweet Chili Momo's steamed dumplings tossed in sweet chili sauce with green peppers and onions. They were nice and flavorful and I loved the texture. We also tried the Tikka Masala Curry with diced and marinated chicken in a spiced creamy curry served with a side of yellow rice. Super creamy and delicious and the chicken just melted in your mouth. And finally we tried the Masala Elote Pizza, palak pizza, and pepperoni pizza. All were delicious but the masala elote was our favorite! So many delicious flavors and textures on this pizza my taste buds were very happy! We washed everything down with freshly made mango lassis! So delish! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family!“

“Food was wonderful! Had the lamb chop and it was awesome! Got medium spice which was plenty! Nice vibe here. Music was cool. Highly recommend making a reservation as the only seat at the bar area was only open for 30 minutes. I will definitely come back here! Don't recommend sitting at last seat by bar as I got bumped in to a few times. Excellent menu!!“

“I recently dined at ROOH Chicago, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience that deserves a solid 5-star review! From the delectable food to the inviting ambiance, exceptional service, and perfect location, ROOH Chicago has it all. Let's start with the food. The culinary journey at ROOH is nothing short of exceptional. I kicked off my meal with the Pink City cocktail, which was a perfect blend of unique flavors and a great way to start the evening. The Chili Cheese Kulcha was a delightful appetizer that packed a flavorful punch, and the Sweet Potato Chaat was a wonderful explosion of textures and tastes. For the main course, the Bagara Baingan and the Bengali Lamb Shank truly stole the show. The Bagara Baingan was a flavorful vegetarian delight, while the Bengali Lamb Shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and rich in aromatic spices. These dishes showcased the diversity and depth of Indian cuisine. The saffron cheesecake for dessert was the perfect ending to an already outstanding meal. Its subtle saffron undertones and velvety texture left me craving more. The ambiance at ROOH is something to behold. The interior design is modern, yet it maintains a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully lit, creating a warm and welcoming environment that's perfect for a romantic dinner or a get-together with friends. The vibe at ROOH is trendy and sophisticated, making it a great place for special occasions or just a memorable night out. It strikes the right balance between elegance and comfort, making you feel at ease from the moment you walk in. Service at ROOH Chicago is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely courteous. They guided us through the menu, making excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The location of ROOH Chicago is also a plus. Situated in the heart of the city, it's convenient and easy to access, making it an ideal spot for locals and visitors alike. In conclusion, ROOH Chicago is a gem in the city's culinary scene. The food is exceptional, the ambiance is delightful, the vibe is chic, the service is impeccable, and the location is prime. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience that combines the best of Indian cuisine and modern elegance, ROOH Chicago is the place to be. I can't wait to return and savor their incredible dishes once again!“

“We had a great time here. The cocktail menu was different and has Indian touch to various standard American fare.Portions were good sized and spice levels are mild. We had to specify “spicy” to get spice level to a “normal” level. They have decent vegetarian choices. But I wish they had some creative choices for veg entrees too“

“This place was book-marked, on my radar, and then recommended by Pakistani friends so I figured it was a no-brainer. We were somewhat in the area and decided to make the trek to Devon to check it out. We got lucky in that we were seated at the last open table. It took a little bit for the staff to realize we needed a waitress but once that happened it was smooth sailing. The samosas were excellent to kick things off. Then the chicken tikka - which I saw another table order - was on the top of the list for me and didn't disappoint. And finally the Highway Paneer was very good but a little too spicy for the girls. Of course, I could have eaten their naan all day long. Very good food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent option if you are in the area.“

“Food was delicious and our waiter (Jaden) was friendly and attentive. We had the samosas to start, the fish basant, chicken makhani (my personal fav), and the side of yellow dal. Desert of the cheesecake was great as well. Plenty of left overs between 2 people. Will definitely be back!“

“Hands down the best Indian I’ve had so far since moving to Chicago. The naan is so fresh. The tiki masala was seasoned well and had just the right amount of spice. Chicken is tender. The samosas are also flavorful! Would definitely recommend!!“

“Absolutely phenomenal south Indian food. We came in to dine in but had to get it to-go due to an emergency. The staff was super accommodating and the Veg Thali (sampler platter) was absolutely divine. My friends got the Mutton Thali and Chicken Thali and said it is some of the best food they've had in Chicago. Spice level is definitely on the hotter side of restaurants I've been to but that made for a great meal. Incredibly affordable too. At ~$15 per person and plenty of tasty leftovers that keep well, I'll definitely be making a point to return soon.“

“Hidden gem of Old Town!! I drive by this spot on the way to/from work and always see cars out front - finally stopped in last night and can see why. First of all, the place was filled at midnight with repeat customers which was a great sign. I was a little skeptical when I saw the prices on the menu as it was much more expensive than I expect from a counter serve restaurant, but when I tasted the food, I completely understood why. We had the daily special, the goat biryani, which was loaded with fall off the bone tender meat, flavorful sauce, and rice that was perfectly cooked. Our take out box was packed to the brim and we were easily able to split that meal into multiple leftover meals. I thought I may have just been extremely hungry the night before but even eating the leftovers today, I was blown away by the flavor. One of the best dishes that I've had. Not a fancy place at all, but everyone was friendly and they do have seating available if you want to eat in. Would highly recommend!“

“We’ve dined in and taken out. Came in for the Indian Food and have enjoyed exploring some of the Nepalese options. The first time we came we got the Chicken Vindaloo, which was soo spicy and so delicious, a little too hot for my GF. The momos are a crowd pleaser. Definitely looking forward to going back.“

“This is a great option when you’re craving Indian food but don’t want to pay for a huge portion. I told the cashier it was my first time and she threw in a few samosas and sauces for me to try - they were crispy, fluffy, and perfect. I also ordered a chicken tikka wrap with rice and onions. It was absolutely delicious. I will be returning soon!“

“Small, quiet place with excellent food. I had a chicken chilli Marsala, tandoori naan, and Indian tea. It came out piping hot with enough food for leftovers (guess what I'm having for dinner?!). Clean place, good service. The only challenge is parking. In the heart of Little India, so lots of shopping nearby.“

“The atmosphere at Eggholic is cozy and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite busy during peak hours, so be prepared to wait for a table.Overall, Eggholic offers delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming ambiance. I will definitely be returning soon to try more of their menu offerings.he pricing is very reasonable, with most dishes ranging from $8-$12.Some popular dishes at Eggholic include their signature Eggy Bowls, loaded with eggs, cheese, meat, and veggies. The portion sizes are generous and perfect for sharing or taking home leftovers. Their French toast and pancakes are also highly recommended.“

“One of my favorite places to eat in the city. Great lunch menu - $18.50 after tax and tip but you get a TON of food and a drink. The butter paneer is my favorite thing on the menu. The vegetable pakara is also excellent and comes as an appetizer for lunch - I recommend it over the desserts. The chana masala and the vegetable mahkani are good but a little oily. The naan is also a little oily, but just pat it down with the napkin and it's fantastic.“

“Restaurant Ambiance - clean, spacious, airy Service - 10/10 Food - Ordered pita wrap chicken. It was absolutely delicious. The sauces the chef gave were good but the shawarma was so good, it did not really need any sauces. It is important to me that the restaurant was HMS certified. If I am in Chicago again, I would I've to try their shawarma bowl!“

“Tuk Tuk Indian was a great place to get some authentic Indian food. We went in there for lunch and got some nice dishes and the chicken and cheese paratha was THE dish for me. The Chole Bhature was good as well, might recommend some hot sauce for a tad more heat. They do have condiments and utensils available as well if you need them. Can’t forget about that mixed berry smoothie either! Make sure to stop by this place if you come to Chicago you won’t be disappointed!“

“Ever since I found them on Grubhub, I have ordered their sweets for every birthday party and special occasion. I also order the samosas and egg rolls while I'm at it. I will say the prices are a little higher, but the quality is worth it. The last time I went into the shop, it was very clean, and the server was extremely pleasant. My husband enjoys their mango lassi, too. I tend to usually get the laddoos and barfis, but their milk cake is outstanding, too!“

“Did an order for pick up and overall it was good! Buttered chicken - asked for extra spicy and they delivered! Used white meat so pieces were a little more dry but that's more a preference as I'm a dark meat person. Was a fan! Lamb tikka masala - lamb was tender and the taste was really good Garlic Naan - very good, lots of garlic, and light and airy Basmati rice - was light and fluffy with a decent amount for 2 orders. “Best Cafe on Devon! From the best Pakistani/ Indian dishes to the best fast food you’ve ever tried! The thing with Pakistani/Indian food with this restaurant is they offer you whatever they have made that same day making the items fresh. I’ve tried multiple places for the best cheeseburgers but nothing beats this restaurant! The Philly and the gyro are amazing too! Very well priced and the food is delicious! Do check them out you will not be disappointed!“
“I can't say enough about how good the food has been from Rishi we discovered Rishi through a friend and, as Indians often do, were expecting the food to be somewhat similar to homestyle Indian but not exact. Boy were we wrong!! It was incredible in every way but here are some of the highlights for me - the pahadi goat curry and goat biryani are OUTSTANDING. As someone who still measures this against my Kashmiri grandmothers cooking- it's impressive to taste something that precise. I hope they keep refining these as they grow. The Tiger Prawn Moillee and Goan Fish Curry are also stellar dishes, each of them fresh and delicious served with fresh basmati (don't forget a side of sliced onions and lime) we've not gotten to try their Jackfruit biryani as yet and I look forward to going through the menu over cooler months.. thank you team for a comforting, true to home experience“

“Drove from Indianapolis, on a friend's recommendation. Trust me the time getting there and the money spend was all worth it. Very nice decor, clean restaurant, friendly staff but the food was the main STAR, succulent tender meat doused in flavorful meaty gravy, steaming hot naan bread and one of the best laccha paratha. I have been a great fan of Sabri'e Nihari but Ali bahi's NIHARI takes the cake, a million miles ahead when it comes to flavor, tenderness of the meat, and the portion size just was an amazing experience enjoying the meal. A great big thank you and wish you the best of success . In Sha Allah, we will see you soon.“

“First things first.,. WATCH YOUR STEP on the way in. It's posted, but if I could say nothing else, I would just say that. But I can totally say more. Service wasn't great at first. But it got better really quickly. This was my first experience with Indian food and it was really good to me. The dessert was meh but that's probably more my fault for not knowing what I was pointing at and not getting something to my preference because of it. I'm not holding the restaurant responsible for my ignorance. It was expensive. But of all the places I've been lately, it had good value for what we ordered.“
