“Somehow got lucky and got seated as we walked in. A quick summary:1.) Ordered Sen Cha tea, beef gyoza, and Monster ramen. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Only thing I didn’t like was the limited menu add on options compared to some other ramen places around Chicago.2.) Parking can be difficult to find in the area when it’s busy.3.) Service is top line. They refill waters/tea and clear dishes so fast. Dessert menu came immediately after the main course.“

“We came without reservations and arrived a few minutes before 5pm on Saturday. There was already a long line - we ended up getting on the waitlist and got in after an hour. While in line, we met the owner - very cool dude and you can tell he's very passionate about ramen. The food and service were both excellent - well worth the hype! I ordered the miso and a friend ordered their special of the month, the Toyama Black. I preferred the miso - I like the chewier/firmer traditional ramen noodle (rather than the thin noodle) though the Toyama Black's broth was delicious and very light. The miso broth was a very good traditional miso broth - it was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty (but extremely filling).“
“Ordered Tonkotsu ramen, Kaarage, Gyoza and avocado sushi.The ramen consistency was great, Broth had a distinct but wonderful flavor and it was frothy which I liked. The toppings were also great. Eggs soft boiled to perfection and I didn’t have much of the chashu but it was also good.The Karaage was also good. Breading was great and they use dark meat which was a pleasant surprise.Gyoza was good too. Less crispy then most and I like that but maybe some might not.Sushi was also top notch. For some reason its not on the online menu but I highly recommend.I also had a taste of someone else’s katsu don and It was good.The staff are incredibly nice and considerate and there was not much wait for our food (Infact, some of the ramen came before the appetizers!)I only give the atmosphere a 3/5 because the sun glares through the window and it can be quite annoying.P.S. Big portions on the ramen so be prepared for leftovers!All in all, HIGHLY RECOMMEND for ramen lovers in chicago.“

Behind the modest dining area with 3 tables and a narrow counter is hiding an amazing Japanese chef who is not only brilliant in delivering the highest quality of sushi and sashimi, cooking delightful hot dishes but also pays close attention to the presentation of his creations. My sashimi selection was delightful and miso soup very tasty. The nice nod to the classic Japanese cuisine was a delicious assortment of Japanese pickles. My husband loved the incredible dressing of the house salad, the right consistency of the egg rolls, and the freshness of the shrimp tempura roll. “Absolutely delicious Japanese food. You can order at the counter (they’ll bring it to you) or you can order on your phone and leave a tab open (and close out at the end). We got a meal set with shio mackerel and katsu with ponzu, udon, edamame, and a large katsu curry. Everything was delicious and authentic. The prices are great for the portions and quality. “First time here last week and last night (2/23/2024), we came back and dined with friends. There were 9 of us in the group. Food was delish! We had diff types of sushi, ramen, gyoza, edamame, and Taiyaki with vanilla ice cream for dessert. All were delish and brought to our table quickly. The place was clean and staff were efficient. We sat on the part of the restaurant where you sit on the floor while you eat. We enjoyed the authentic Japanese dining set-up. They have various Japanese beer and wine, and dessert options as well. Prices are slightly higher than other Japanese restaurants nearby (Ari Sushi in Des Plaines & Sushi Nikko in Arlington Heights) but we can deal with it because of the efficient service. I think this becoming one of our fave sushi places.“
“I like the food of this place better than their Schaumburg location, the original chef from their 1st location was there cooking when we went. Service is still on the learning stage as you could tell the server wasn't on top of things yet. The decor was beautiful, best one of all their branches.“

She coveted the marinated mushrooms, and I don't eat pork so I was so happy there was something I could order and devour. Hat tip to the pickles as well as the cocktail (and mocktail). It's a great atmosphere with an interesting layout, given the shape of the building, plus the semi-open kitchen allows for all of the enchanting aromas to hit you. “I am a frequent diner at Wabi Sabi - it is a great place for dine in or takeout. Good selection of appetizers, sushi rolls, and entrees. Everything I’ve had on the menu has been fantastic, but I especially recommend the gyoza. Definitely affordable for sushi in the area. If you are picking up, food is usually ready 15-20 minutes after you call in even if the place is super busy.Parking: Paid street parking in Kedzie. Surrounding neighborhood streets have some free parking usually but be sure to check permit signs.“
“From the massive gift shop to the real Japanese people baking the sushi in the kitchen. This place was phenomenal. My friends talked me into this because I was really skeptical about eating raw pork and chicken however I was not disappointed. I have never had such good Chinese sushi, and pierogis in my life. I felt like I was in a time machine that took me back to 1941 such a vintage location with historic sentiment. Don’t forget to try the special verde sauce. This place is for the whole family.“
“This place was unexpectedly good, especially given the fact that it’s in a food court. My expectation of food courts is not high. There were somewhat expensive but they were good so it was worth it. The staff was really helpful and answered any questions I had. Food was delicious. Plenty of meat.“
“Line is always long, especially during lunchtime, 11 am - 1 pm, even worse during the weekend, normally around 30- 40 mins wait or depending on how many people ahead of you. But is it worth the wait? Yes! Definitely. I always enjoy the ramen and other side dishes they offer. Prices are a bit expensive, around $15, but it's very filling and say worth it. The only downside of this place is that it is hard to find an empty table to sit at during lunch rush hours as this restaurant is located inside Mitsuwa market food court. So, I recommend that if you are going to this place with a friend, 1 person should start looking for a table while the other one is waiting in line or if you're by yourself and very hungry avoid going here during lunch hours.“
“Came here for my sisters bday and we were greeted by Chef Danny and seated immediately. We started out with a variety of appetizers. We tried the salted edamame, the miso soup, shishito pepper, chicken karaage, assorted tempura shrimp and diver sea scallops. They were all super tasty but really thought the star of the appetizers were the diver sea scallops which had a perfect sear and wonderful gelatinous consistency, they were perfect. The tempura shrimp were also amazing, they were large size shrimp with a light crispy and crunchy exterior. The rolls were wonderful as well, the ones that stood out the most were the spicy sexy dragon roll, the flaming 1800 and rainbow roll. The rolls had Alaskan king crab and lobster tempura which gave them an exotic flavor profile and really made the experience unique. One of the best sushi spots we have been to, highly recommended!“
