“Very nice place to enjoy talk with friends. One exception. Recently a sensitive person couldn’t handle what others talk about. Nothing dirty or nasty. That sensitive person is the type that wants to hamper free speech. While she can have freedom of acting like a clown in public. Some of us served this country for her to be in public like a clown. If any talk of ban free speech ,it would take aw half the customers. I know it is hard when some sensitive people want to restrict others and act like a victim. No one harasses anyones as far as i know. It’s the one who wants control. That pert needs to be told No! She could cause a problem and the business would be ruined. Thats what these sensitive people do.”

“Milette's is definitely the best in the business in Downtown Plainfield! I love the ooey gooey chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream frosting! Love how moist their cakes are and how on point they capture my vision to life through their sweet creations! I would definitely recommend this place. Amazing customer service too 💯”

“We decided to try a different pizza place after hearing good things about this place. Everything we read was spot on, we had some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time.

In true tavern style the crust had just the right amount of crunch. They have 2 sauce options, sweet & garlic. ( I ordered sweet, but next time we’ll try the 50/50 version) My wife is really picky about onions on a pizza, she liked the ones The Great American uses.

We will totally be ordering from here again.

One suggestion, we would like to order online, but all the online options charge more money than the menu prices. Since we normally order as carry out, we just ordered over the phone.”

“Went Into the store on Saturday night, While sitting down enjoying the wonderful ice cream the staff closed the inside portion and when I asked why they said that they were very short staffed and would only do drive though for the remainder of the night. We were one of the last ones allowed inside before they locked the doors. The staff was great, friendly and never flinched at being under staffed. I would have never known had I not asked if they were closing early. They did a fantastic job of maintaining a very professional and courteous demeanor. “Burger with Fried Egg and Cubano both with French fries. Burger cooked to perfection juicy and delicious. Cubano sandwich was full of Flavor. Fries were crisp and hot. Wednesday evening slow and our server had a very lack luster approach to service especially when my wife finished her drink and server was not keeping tabs for refills. Bar menu was as large as the food menu. They were touted as comfort food so i thought ok they might serve pot roast, broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, nac n cheese but that was not on menu. None the less the food was Great, Atmosphere Nice, Service could have been better.”

“The History on Wheels hosted its annual Juneteeth celebration at the Joliet Area Historical Museum on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. We used Mama Sarah's Kitchen for catering and the food did not disappoint! Chef Arron Sain has magical hands!! We had fried chicken, fried catfish, baked salmon, collard greens, baked macaroni & cheese and cornbread. For dessert we has cheesecake, pound cake and banana pudding. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. My mouth waters as I think about the food. So many compliments from our guests about how the food was. Truly outstanding!! Thank you Chef Arron for your amazing service and delicious food! We will be having Mama Sarah's again!”

They are always speedy, on time with our take-out times, and they even throw in extra cakes or treats sometimes on top of the fortune cookies. Very nice people at the take out counter as well. After reading the sign on their window and some of these reviews, I can’t believe that they even have to explain wait times and kindness/patience to grown adults. We spent way less than 10 minutes in the drive thru from start to finish, received friendly service and great tasting food. How can you find something to complain about? I will continue to support this location even if there is a wait because I would love for them to stick around for a long time.”
