“Good spot for a variety of food.
I stop by in here for their pizza. It's a thin crust and the largest size takes 12 min to make. 15 min if you ask for it extra crispy. 30 bucks. feeds 3 or 4 grown hungry men, depending. They say it's for more but I say my portions test might be more accurate.
You can ask them to slice it in a specific way. Bottled drinks around 3 dollars with the tax included. Overall if you're splitting the bill with 3 or maybe 4 other people you won't go over 13 ish dollars for pizza and drinks. Pizza is pretty good, staff is nice and if pizza isn't your thing they have alot of other options.“

“Recently I’ve had the privilege of not only meeting the owner of this establishment but also trying their meatball sandwiches, which is one of their top sellers. First bite, you can tell immediately that this was made with a lot of love and care. It legit felt like a hug from my grandmother every bite. Every part of this sandwich, from the bread to the sauce, and even the meatballs, you can tell that no shortcuts were taken. It’s clearly an artisanal sandwich. By far one of the best meatball sandwiches I’ve had. Even talking with the owner you can tell that he’s proud of his product. His food speaks for itself. “Spinach and cheese Omelet was great. Bacon was so so (hard to go wrong with bacon but I've had better), buddy had 49rs that he said were delicious, but his sausage patty was sub par. I tried the sausage and it was not great, but also not horrible. Overall pleased with food and environment. Server was great.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“

“Greetings my Foodzies, tonight we decided to try a restaurant that we have passed by numerous times. The great escape on Irving at 9540 w Irving Park rd. in Schiller Park.
This is a unique restaurant that has been around for years. The property has a rich history (see the picture I have posted with the story).
The restaurant’s bar area is very rustic with a bar that was hand carved in 1889, very impressive. TVs have been added to draw in a people who want to eat and have a drink while watching TV. Also a gaming section in the bar area.
Music is old school 50-60s, our server Mareen was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.
We started with Grilled Calamari it was grilled nicely but could have used a few more seconds to get a little more char flavor. It was also missing the signature balsamic. Glenda chose the Rigatoni in Vodka sauce with chicken; the chicken was scarce and the sauce was not the traditional sauce it had an odd flavor, not terrible but not what we expected. With a cup of lentil soup, tasty but needed a little extra salt. I chose the baby back ribs and broasted chicken (these dishes they are known for) the chicken was very good, crispy skin and very juicy. The ribs were tender but a little dry. The BBQ sauce was the recipe is the recipe of the owner’s grandfather. It was a Kansas City type sweet sauce with a nice smoky flavor (as a first time patron we were given a bottle to take home). I had the baked French onion soup topped with mozzarella, I’m used to Gruyere, Swiss, or Gouda but ut was very good.

Our group ordered the rib dinner & pork tenderloin dinner.
Food was so very good! Salad was good with the garlic dressing. Ribs meaty & tender! Baked potato was excellent! Pork tenderloin very tender. Generous portions! The complimentary apple pie was outstanding!
Our server Nicki was the best! Very attentive!
The Sunday morning/afternoon staff is adorable :)

“We were so happy to find that Little Joey's was still here after we moved away from the area for 14yrs! We started getting pizza from Little Joey's when they first opened - our son Joey was 5 or 6 at the time, so it was perfect! Now, their pizza quality has remained very good! We love their Chicago style deep dish, simple pepperoni or sausage, or even getting a spinach and garlic pizza is nice. Most of the time we get a Greek salad to go along with the pizza. Our favorite local pizza place! (We just miss the delivery van with the phone on top when they first opened ☹️)....“

The food is also amazing bc it stays true to Korean food fused with fresh veges and both Korean and non Korean based like glass sweet potato noodles or salad or purple or white rice. The flavors are authentic to Korean food items also. Online you can ask for extra of one the free included sides which is nice. The sides are healthful and tastes great. The staff (diverse staff) and manager (who looked Korean to me which is nice to keep authenticity) are always cleaning...authentic to the Korean way of non stop standards of cleanliness. The bathroom is immaculate and non odorous. I got a glass noodle (which is made of sweet potato) base bowl with tofu (cooked perfectly with just right saltiness, broccoli, beans, steamed and fried potatoes, red cabbage, corn, kale, and KIMCHI of course! What Korean dish comes without kimchi and it's perfect inside bc I grew up adding kimchi to everything like ramen or pizza or soup. Also FREE miso soup w tofu and scallion. You can serve it yourself anytime. Drinks are creative and yummy. Thank you Mr Shin (owner of this chain) for creating such a great deal with yummy Korean foods that help me eat for balance and wellness. Thank you to the manager of this Des Plains location for doing an excellent job! If I could, I would eat here everyday. You won't be disappointed. Free and ample parking in the mall and it's right next to Panera.
