I’ve been coming to this McDonald’s for many years and the entire staff has always been quick, friendly, and professional. This is a very well-run store.

However, I want to highlight one employee in particular — Oscar. I see him often, and he truly stands out. Not only is he efficient and attentive, but he takes the time to greet customers like friends. He remembers people, makes conversation, and creates a genuinely welcoming atmosphere.

If he is not already in a management role, I believe he would make an excellent store manager. He represents the best of what customer service should be.“

I ordered a capp with an extra shot of espresso, oat milk, and their seasonal apple spice syrup. Perfectly balanced (I even forgot to ask for it half-sweet, like I usually do, but my coffee still tasted like coffee, not like straight sugar 🙌🏼 - much appreciated!!)

Coffee was quick to come up, and there’s plenty of street parking in this sparse industrial neighborhood.

“The Skull Island drink had an interesting taste since I don't usually go for drinks with banana syrup, but it was fun to try. Their bagels were very good and perfectly toasted, and the vegan cream cheese wasn't bad either. The staff was super nice and welcoming, and the decorations really make the place stand out. There's also a good amount of seating, and you can even pop into the record store next door through the connecting door, which is a cool touch.“

Not just pierogi ---Gelato, soups, empanadas, tamales, pizza pie (takes 50 mins to make from scratch and worth it!!) “Stopped there yesterday randomly after a local competitor closed at noon. The barista was very pleasant and happy to take my simple large mocha order. it was made perfect and tasted delicious. i sat outside and enjoyed my cup while also enjoying the free smells of them roasting coffee. “The owner is so welcoming, and let’s not even get started on the food! I had the chorizo and veggie skillet, and he was kind enough to let me try a bit of both. The coffee was amazing, too. My friend ordered the poblano crepe (of course I had to taste it), and that was absolutely delicious as well! Like he said, “when you go there, he wants it to be more than just good food …he wants it to be an experience”, and he truly delivers!“

“I brought my three little girls here after playing at Indian Boundary Park and received absolutely wonderful service from Ricky. The coffee was tasty, the girls loved the herbal tea he made for them at just the right temperature, and the holler deal for a pastry and beverage can’t be beat! He even took the time to bring out some coloring books and colored pencils to give the girls something to do, though I think they were most entranced with the working rotary phone. We will definitely be back!“

“It’s cute little coffee shop on a great spot on the corner. It has a small menu of the classic coffee options like latte and cortado, and they have 3 syrup options of lavender, vanilla, or mocha (nope, no caramel!). I forget how small the 8oz is it fits so cutely in my hand but it was a good amount of coffee for my walk home. A bit higher prices but it’s a small business supporting our community! Plenty of seating and space to study, work, or chill!“

The atmosphere was lively but still cozy — the kind of spot that feels perfect for catching up over good food and drinks. I ordered the Monarch cocktail and the signature Gretel Griddle Burger, and both were amazing. The Monarch was perfectly balanced — refreshing, smooth, and beautifully made. The burger absolutely lived up to the hype: juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly even though the place was busy.
