“Had the Steak Burrito. The presentation, size and taste were what I expected. They had the good hot type / red sauce which some other places don't have. However it seemed as if the lettuce and tomato overpowered the steak/ beans & cheese? Not quite sure but something was off with the lettuce ? It did seem to be the typical shredded lettuce I've had in other burrito's?“

“Went to La Hacienda de Roselle for lunch/dinner. Best place ever for Mexican food. They give you so much food and it is very inexpensive. The staff there is friendly and you get great service. The salsa was also a standout, offering great flavor without being overly spicy.

“Lively place which is visually lovely!! Great artwork and fantastic ceilings with lights! Went on a Saturday night around 6 and very thankful we had a reservation. When we left two hours later there were still people pouring in!
We started with guac which was delicious and fresh- chips were an unspectacular but the flavors in the guac hid it well. House margarita was large and good- could have been better-but still decent for the price. I had the combo platter which included a taco, tostada, enchilada and tamale along with beans and rice. The food was fresh, plentiful and delicious (still good reheated the next day). Service could have been more attentive but not taking off a star for it because the food was that good!
Definitely utilize the valet- parking is tricky.“

“Very good mexican food, great flavors. This place is a level above your normal mexican restaurant. I had the pork tacos and the meat comes off a rotating spit with a pineapple on top. Meat was nicely browned and so was the pineapple. The salsas have great flavor.The tres Leche cake is delicious and made on-site. Staff is great. Nice family owned place. I also stop on for breakfast items also. Will be back again.“

“It's hard to find Mexican restaurants to get absolutely everything right, this is the one. Rice and beans were great, Pollo a la Mexicana was the perfect amount of taste and spiciness. The cheese stretches multiple feet into the air like it was real fresh cheese melted to perfection. I can't recommend this place enough. The building is very cute and the staff is super nice.“

Food was terrific and the menu features things you won’t find at your standard Mexican restaurant like three choices of mole. Tableside guacamole is absolutely lovely. I have to say, though, what made our experience was watching the magnificent bartender. His efficiency, speed, and obvious dedication to what he was doing was just a marvel. He never stopped moving! We recently visited this charming restaurant located conveniently on Plum Grove Road and Higgins, with easy access from entrances on both sides of the building (formerly a McDonald’s). It was our first time dining here, and the experience was fantastic from the moment we stepped inside.

The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home. When we mentioned it was our first visit, they went out of their way to explain the menu and highlight the house specialties. We started with chips and salsa, and what a treat! They served four varieties of salsa, each made fresh in-house. The flavors were unique and absolutely delicious—some of the best chips and salsa we've had in a while.

For our main dish, we opted for the fajita combo. The staff kindly asked how we preferred the steak, which we appreciated as it showed their attention to detail. When the sizzling fajitas arrived, they didn’t disappoint. The steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The chicken was equally amazing—juicy, well-seasoned, and just as satisfying.

The tortillas were kept warm in a tortilla warmer, which was a nice touch and exactly how I like them served. The sides of rice and beans complemented the meal perfectly. The rice was light and flavorful, and the creamy refried beans rounded out the plate.

The location is just three miles from our house, which makes it even more appealing for a quick and satisfying meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check this place out—you won’t regret it!“
