“Service and food are EXCELLENT! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Perfect place for a special occasion. We had a Ribeye with Kona rub cooked to perfection! Salad and mashed potato sides. Delicious dessert beautifully served with fresh raspberries and strawberries. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. We were here for a celebration and the staff made it all the more special! Lots of attention to detail. Highly recommended! And perfect ambiance, classy, warm, and friendly.“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“My favorite burger that I’ve ever had in the city. I could not believe how incredible this place was. Got a pretty cheap bottle considering the quality and it was perfect. Everything else on the menu looked amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try the rest. Our server was not around very much but it seemed like he had the entire restaurant to himself so he did great all things considered.“

“This is a lovely, but very expensive downtown spot. Everything is perfect and lovely, however, I really miss the original location, in Lakeview. They used to have a Sunday jazz brunch and a full menu and it was just a great place to host a party, which I did, for my parents ' anniversary one year. I wish they still had a space and a menu like they used to. But I am glad it still exists in this incarnation. It's very sophisticated and upscale - a nice departure from a lot of the chains now so prevalent in the city.“

“My girlfriend and I went in after a long day of traversing the city. The hostess Amy was very nice! She told us about the area, gave us wine recommendations and had given us the background on each one before finding the perfect drink! Would recommend to anyone looking to have a good night out!

“Our favorite spot in Park Ridge. Excellent food and wines. Very friendly to our kids during brunch and early dinners. Strongly recommend the wine club. Monthly selections have all been outstanding.“

“Obelix is always fantastic! We went on a Monday and they were super busy, which is awesome to see. On Mondays they offer 1/2 price bottles of bubbles and also had a selection of pastries available (sooo good!!). Top notch service from the entire staff and Ashley, our server, was lovely. We'll be back again soon!“

“Cubby and Miguel were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Our group sampled the whole menu, and the standouts were the ravioli and the hanger steak. Don't skip dessert: the cookie crumble with ice cream was delicious. Warm and welcoming atmosphere with great staff.“

“I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“We attended a Thanksgiving wine tasting event on 11/20/2025. The staff could not be more accommodating. Emily does an excellent job with these kinds of events. We had baked brie and tasted 15 wines! All were better than the next. We left with 8 bottles and some ideas for future purchases. Great experience. Check them out!“

“Great experience at FIYA! Went for an early-ish dinner and it was pretty empty, which I honestly prefer. Tried the brussel sprouts (incredible! My favorite dish of the evening I think), the baba with GF pita (also good!!), grilled halloumi, and the mushrooms.
Everything was good. Worth a visit!“

“What an amazing wine bar. They have an excellent list that really pleased my out of town sommelier friend. They even have a lovely franciocorta that is really hard to find and really lovely staff that are funny and warm. It’s everything you would want in an Armitage wine bar: old world, vibey, laid back, high quality — will return“

“In a town known for great steak restaurants, EJs, is my favorite. Their steaks and seafood are outstanding, their sides and desserts wonderful, and their wine list never disappoints. Throw in a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling and the smell of the fireplace. The best part is the service. From the moment you arrive until you get back in your vehicle their service is unmatched with a staff of professionals who have been there for years. I highly recommend EJs and look forward to our next visit!“
