“Great service 3 dinners out of four ok My steak was ordered rare and it was prepared properly except the quality was not as it should be for a high end steak restaurant at the cost. There was absolutely no marbling and no fat leaving the NY cut tasteless and chewy, and very difficult to cut. I also ordered it boneless, but it arrived bone in. I believe it was a choice grade meat not at all near prime. I would not order steak again, but stick to their hamburger which is always acceptable. I would suggest if they are going to serve choice meat that they at least sharpen their very dull steak knives. Clean kitchen & restrooms.“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“My favorite burger that I’ve ever had in the city. I could not believe how incredible this place was. Got a pretty cheap bottle considering the quality and it was perfect. Everything else on the menu looked amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try the rest. Our server was not around very much but it seemed like he had the entire restaurant to himself so he did great all things considered.“

“We randomly found this place after dinner the other night and were so happy we did! It is a gem! The space itself is beautiful and a vibe. We walked in and didn't have any issues with available seats at the bar. The service was amazing. Daniela and Amy took care of us all night. They walked us through different wines, had us taste a few, and we ended up going with a few glasses of different types of wine. The selection was lovely. There aren't many wine bars in the area but we're so happy this is here. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.“

“This is a lovely, but very expensive downtown spot. Everything is perfect and lovely, however, I really miss the original location, in Lakeview. They used to have a Sunday jazz brunch and a full menu and it was just a great place to host a party, which I did, for my parents ' anniversary one year. I wish they still had a space and a menu like they used to. But I am glad it still exists in this incarnation. It's very sophisticated and upscale - a nice departure from a lot of the chains now so prevalent in the city.“

“Our favorite spot in Park Ridge. Excellent food and wines. Very friendly to our kids during brunch and early dinners. Strongly recommend the wine club. Monthly selections have all been outstanding.“

“We went last night to celebrate our anniversary and had an incredible meal. We did have a short wait for our table, but the staff was very apologetic and delivered outstanding service. Without us mentioning the delay, the hostess brought us champagne to apologize for our table running behind. Once seated, we received another complimentary drink and an appetizer. They made us feel truly special. The wait did not bother us at all, yet the team still went out of their way to make it right. Some of the best service we have ever experienced at a restaurant. 10/10“

“The food was exceptional. Every dish was better than the last, and having ordered everything at once, the items were delivered in perfect order to escalate the experience as the night went on. “I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Great wine selection, very friendly staff. The food was okay (we had muhammara and the breads were underwhelming compared to the main portion and the wines). It's a darker room, gives it a cool vibe for sure. Seating was very comfortable.“

“We attended a Thanksgiving wine tasting event on 11/20/2025. The staff could not be more accommodating. Emily does an excellent job with these kinds of events. We had baked brie and tasted 15 wines! All were better than the next. We left with 8 bottles and some ideas for future purchases. Great experience. Check them out!“

“Great experience at FIYA! Went for an early-ish dinner and it was pretty empty, which I honestly prefer. Tried the brussel sprouts (incredible! My favorite dish of the evening I think), the baba with GF pita (also good!!), grilled halloumi, and the mushrooms.
Everything was good. Worth a visit!“

They even have a lovely franciocorta that is really hard to find and really lovely staff that are funny and warm. “In a town known for great steak restaurants, EJs, is my favorite. Their steaks and seafood are outstanding, their sides and desserts wonderful, and their wine list never disappoints. Throw in a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling and the smell of the fireplace. The best part is the service. From the moment you arrive until you get back in your vehicle their service is unmatched with a staff of professionals who have been there for years. I highly recommend EJs and look forward to our next visit!“
