“The worst Mc Donald’s I’ve ever been too Maggie the girl taking our order accused me and my husband of smelling like marijuana My husband and I are In Our seventies How dare they accuse a customer like that. I called and talked to the manager Who said her name was Theresa. She actually agreed with Maggie who was calling us names under her breath Thank god I recorded the conversation I am definitely going to file a complaint of defamation of character. Plus I am calling the corporate office“

“I stayed in the ADORABLE little rental above the coffee shop and the whole place smelled like coffee when we checked in. (huge win to me) If they were still open I would have gone down to get some coffee immediately. I went down first thing the next morning and ordered a frosted cranberry latte and it was so delicious. 100% made me want to stay another night but we had to head home. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and the coffee is amazing.“

“I visited Toast and Roast which was recommended by my brother. The atmosphere was awesome and very i inviting, not to mention extremely clean! The food was great, especially the pumpkin cheesecake muffins. They were Light, fresh, moist, and very flavorful. I’d recommend this establishment to anyone and I look forward to my next visit.“

“First of all, Simon’s a great host who also loves to make software. We’re here all the time, and our team loves coming to Open Mic to work, be creative, and meet with clients. It’s a comfortable, welcoming space that naturally sparks good conversations and cool ideas—some of our best ideas have come out of brainstorming sessions in this spot. Sometimes we’re heads-down getting work done, sometimes sketching things out, sometimes picking up a guitar or playing a little piano between sprints. Great coffee and tea, a relaxed creative vibe, and always something interesting going on. It’s one of our favorite spots in Lake County, Illinois.“
