“Celebrated my wife’s birthday here with three other families, as we were in Chicago between baseball tournaments. Not only was Coda di Volpe able to accommodate a same day reservation for a large party, but they went above and beyond, from personalizing menus with a birthday wish, to adding a special touch on dessert. With four teenage boys in tow, the menu provided ample carbs and comfort for them while we enjoyed a broad sample of the offerings - all were very happy with their meals! Cocktails and wine selection was also on the mark. Kudos to Jeremy and his staff. We came all dressed in white and he told us he knew he wanted to do something special for our party… they knocked it out of the park! It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. “Went here over the weekend with a large group and was beyond impressed with just about everything. The food was amazing; I would recommend the focaccia with the dips especially the ricotta one, the pizza with mushrooms, the ndudi pasta, the farfalle pasta, the eggplant parm, chicken parm, and the tiramsu, and chocolate cake for dessert. The service was just amazing! Chef Eckfeld is doing a great job as well as the management, servers, cooks, etc. Very impressed and looking forward to my next visit.“

Even though another person came in and started harassing the employee and us and ruined our meal the employees customer service was incredible as someone who has worked in customer service I understand but his professionalism goes above and beyond. “We recently had dinner at Coalfire on Grand Ave. in West Town and really enjoyed their coal oven baked pizza. We dined early on a weekend evening so no problem with grabbing a table on a walk in basis. Opening hours are Indoor environs were urban modern with tables spaced nicely. Opening hours are 4pm to 10pm (Tue-Thurs) and noon to 10.30pm (Fri-Sun), closed on Mondays. Service was very friendly. Menu features a few salads as well as a list of pizzas. They also do a build your pizza custom order if preferred. We ordered the Jalapeno Pepperoni which was nicely baked thin crust with a good amount of char. Savoury tomato sauces, cheese, pepperoni and jalapeno were all good quality and tasty. This was a really good pizza, one we'd gladly return to reorder. Would also be happy to try other pizzas on the Coalfire menu.“
