We had the best appetizers, main dishes (pasta & pizza), drinks and the donuts as a treat from our amazingly friendly server was a fabulous ending to a great night! “I’ve eaten at Bleuroot twice when traveling through Chicago for hockey trips. Every bite has been phenomenal and there have been many “Oh you’ve got to try this” shared plates. The staff are amazing and this is a place where it’s okay to be loud and boisterous and joyful. “Wow, I have to admit I was completely wrong about Olive Garden! When my sister suggested going, I laughed, thinking it would mean mediocre food, bad service, and unimpressive drinks. But this location totally proved me wrong. Our waitress was absolutely amazing—seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met (wish I remembered her name!). The food was delicious, and the drinks were fun and creative. Way to go, Olive Garden—you’ve changed my mind!“

Not overcooked and tough or soggy as they can get .The oyakodon was similarly scrumptious. Staff pleasant but the server seemed to be working the kitchen also but attentive to us. In strip mall with other businesses. I could see the parking may get tight if all are busy.“

The crab Rangoon was surprisingly good and was made fresh. Amazing crunch
The lao sausages are fantastic. Had a great lemongrass flavor and delicious meat chunks. If you have never had lao sausages before, this place is worth coming out and trying for that.
The lao papaya salad slaps. However, I highly suggest getting a low heat for the papaya salad. My husband and I have a high heat tolerance but even the medium heat hurt so good. Also worth it to come out for this.
The pad thai was really flavorful. Didn't seem like a large portion of meat however.“

“I haven't been to Alexander's in years and my last experience wasn't a good one. The food wasn't great and the service was terrible. This time was a complete 180° experience! The place has been renovated and looks very nice and very clean (including the very nice restroom). The food and service were, both, wonderful with nice selections on the menu. We went on a weekend, so they had a piano player who was very good. Even the prices weren't the usual "painful" experience of most restaurants. We will, definitely, return. I went because I was told they had improved, considerably, from what I remembered. They have!“

“My partner and I had a really great time here. He got the nacho scramble and I got the cowboy skillet minus the mushrooms. I upgraded to the stuffed French toast for my side. It’s very filling, and above all else, seasoned to PERFECTION!! I’ve never been to a breakfast place before that seasons their food this well. For two people with only water, it was $40 which I think is really reasonable especially with the French toast upgrade.

The burger is good and I have ended up getting a kid's meal last time so that I can try to eat less meat. I am more of a light weight person anyway. The inside of the restaurant could be renovated. They are still in the real old Kooker's building with the same old tile floor that Kooker's restaurant had when I was in high school. It is over 20 years later now. I have been willing to go back to Happy Burger to get meals. The people at the front desk are nice. I do admit, though, sometimes I end up getting a burger for $3 at fast food drive-throughs. Happy Burger (HB) burger tastes more like a fresh made juicy burger when compared to the McDonald's on the other side of the street. HB fries are not bad but could be better because when the HB fries come up and go into a bag, I have found they were a bit wet.Wet fries is a common imperfection with Chicago-style grills.“

“They are by far the best dq in the suburbs. They are not stingy with toppings. Sure the price reflects that sometimes but will you rather pay $8 for a blizzard with 2 Oreo cookies in it or $10 for one with 8 Oreos in it? I love the Oreo blizzard and Reese’s. Though no fault of their own…I wish the Reese’s had less choco chunks and more peanut butter stuff ❤️. Regardless i appreciate them and always thank them!“
