“I love Standard Market's Seeded Rye Bread! It is one of the best rye breads to be found anywhere in the west suburbs. Unfortunately the last two loaves I bought are so very , very salty? I do bake bread myself (not as good as Standard Market's) I am aware of the role of salt, sugar etc. and their proportions, so why this extremely salty version ?“

Pizza, Spinach dip, and the Martinis was not the best but good fruit mixes. Despite a few mix ups my sisters and I enjoyed the place. “We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“We love Five O Four. Their brunch is served from 8 AM until 3 PM and they do a fantastic job. The food quality is excellent. Our favorite meal is breakfast and they do it so well. We have yet to eat here for dinner, but the menu looks great. They’re open evenings from 5 to 8 or 10 weekends.“

We even got a complimentary meal from the Executive Chef so he didn’t waste the plate after taking pictures of his new special. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. Joined the Waterleaf for dinner during the Regional American Cuisine - Spring 2025 semester. The restaurant is cozy but very comfortable. The service is limited so you don't feel shoehorned into the dining room. Instead, it lends itself to a relaxed enjoyable evening. The service was friendly and informative. If we had any questions about the menu our server was right there to answer them. The food was exceptional! I started with the Chicken Chile Colorado followed by the Arizona Chopped Salad and I selected the Pork Carne Adovoda. The food was AMAZING!
Little sidebar about the online reservation system. It is set up to handle tables of 2 or 4. So, if you try to make a reservation for anything other than that it tends to respond that they are all booked up! If you're having trouble call the restaurant directly!

“We get this for takeout a lot, but you have to try the Fire Chicken Sandwich. It's one of my absolute favorites! The combination of pickled onions and jalapeños, topped with a sweet and spicy mango habanero sauce, is just incredible. And the cilantro garlic fries are the perfect side, especially when you dip them in the creamy ranch dressing.“

“Service was slow and someone in our party never received their food because of some “mix up.” Not sure if the mistake was made by the server or in the kitchen. The manager came by and had the kitchen prepare it and said we wouldn't be charged. At that point, the rest of the party was pretty much done eating so we took it to go. When we got the check, the meal was not taken off the bill and it took some time getting that resolved. But the food we did receive tasted great. Could have been an “off” night so we plan to give it another try.“

“We recently got married at The Elm this past weekend (10/13/2024) and can't express in words how satisfied we were with their service. Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. Because of its popularity sometimes you have to wait a little bit but what can you expect on weekend when you’ve got a big crowd, live music & people enjoying themselves with a feel good atmosphere? The outdoor area is great and live music performs there during the summer months and inside during the colder months. There are bag games to play and if you want to host an adult birthday party or an event in a bar type of atmosphere this is the place to have it. They have a special event area in the back and if you like to play slots, there are some slots located in the front. While I don’t drink we have friends that do and we have been patronizing Daverns for years as our friends and my husbands bands play here . We haven’t really ordered food from here yet so I can’t review the food. I’m just reviewing the service and the atmosphere. They have specials from time to time and just really seem to me that they are all about the customers and running a great bar business. We have been treated so well every time we come which is why we keep coming back. So if you’re in the Justice area and want to stop at a great little bar/lounge give Daverns a try. .“

“I’ve been coming to this bar/restaurant for years and never had a bad experience. I hosted my birthday party this past weekend and our server Deanna was the absolute best! She was attentive, efficient, and friendly. She accommodated a party of 15 and made it look easy. We never had to look for her because she was constantly making her rounds and checking on us. I couldn’t be happier with our experience and it made my birthday one to remember. We will definitely be back!“

“First timer, walked into restaurant with a wonderful greeting. The shrimp ane calamari appetizers were amazing. Did not enjoy my Entrée especially the Mac and cheese. It was too soupy. Asked for another one and the same type of soupy consistency was delivered. Dessert was meant to have a good presentation but toppled over before arriving at the table but was still served to me.
