I never thought that Publix Grocery store would ever be outdone but bb.q chicken has gained the throne.

“I came to a private event at Shaevitz. The staff was very kind and welcoming, the food was fantastic. The brisket and burgers are very flavorful. Shaevitz is conveniently located in downtown Highland Park with plenty of parking in the area. Supporting a conservative Kosher business is definitely a plus.

“Went there on 6/22/22. We ate outside and were pleased to have a musician playing on the patio. The food was excellent as was the service. Bring your appetite and still expect to take home leftovers. Classic menu of steaks, chops, sandwiches and top notch BBQ. This will be a mainstay for us moving forward. Can't recommend this place enough!“

“Food is top quality and fresh ingredients. Complimentary variety bon chon is nice too. Food served quickly and piping hot. Seafood pancake was extra crispy and the accompanying sauce was really tasty. Beef Ba bibimbop was good but could have been better if the stone was hotter or the use of more sesame oil on the bottom for the rice to crisp up. The quantity of beef should have been a bit more in the dishes. If you want the fried egg on top just let them know when ordering.
Buckwheat tea was also brewed and made well with the kettle on the table vs asking for more.
The beef and kimchi soup was excellent. The kimchi was a little tangy and sour that made it taste that much more delicious!

It was very busy for lunch and all the dishes that came out looked very appetizing. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was clean and the ambience was nice. Take out containers are provided. Carryout galore going out the door and were packed neatly.

All in all, this is a nice place to dine in, relax and have a delicious authentic Korean meal!“

“The meat is season very well. Every bite i had was delicious. We were the only customers a bit, so the service was wonderful. It is a charcoal bbq so it can get smokey.

Parking: It is in a stip mall so there is plenty of parking.“

“After fantastic experience at Texas Roadhouse, I had to try their rival, Longhorn Steakhouse.
I ordered the same type of meat, and my favorite type of cut, 20oz Ribeye, with premium side fire roasted corn.
Also ordered pork loin with Brussels sprouts.

Ribeye was incredible. Nice char grill, with right amount of seasoning and perfectly cooked medium rare. Corn was also nice, good balance between crema and parm cheese, although I would have liked more if they did more mexican elote style with cotija cheese.

Pork loin was also excellent. It was not overcooked, very tender, and juicy. Brussels sprouts was one of the best side dishes I have had.

Overall, it was fantastic, and now it has become a dilemma. My take is that TR had better bread to start, a little bit cheaper, and has more combo options. Longhorn is a tiny bit more upscale, little better quality of steak and better sides? But it is pretty neck and neck.

Possibly comes down to which location is more convenient and closer from my house!“

“Chicken Inn has the best Broasted Chicken. I have been going there for years. Staff friendly and helpful. They have ribs and shrimp and all of them are good. They have great sides as well.“

In the tradition of Greek restaurants, this is a little nugget tucked away that was formerly another establishment, Fodraks I believe. Two years of business, and I just noticed them. The food is very good! The shakes are very flavorful, the grilled burgers are fantastic, the kabobs are great, the gyros is Perfecto. The facility is clean, the ambience is interesting and funny to look at. You can refill your own drinks, that is a really nice perk by the way. Bathrooms were clean, plenty of parking, plenty of handicapped spaces, nothing to complain about. It was excellent, way above average. And, it was inexpensive.

It was a little dry as if it was kept in the heating box for a while or just overcooked a bit. The sides were not memorable. I’d go back again and just skip the sides. The Mexican food looked good.“

Super gross stuff on the sink, no hand soap available, toilet was dirty and bathroom floors felt a bit sticky. The food, however, is amazing. I see why people rave about it.
