The blueberry lemon cheesecake waffles were INSANE, no maple syrup needed.Claudia was a great hostess and server. Even when she is busy she's attentive and kind.Great Julius Meinl coffee ☕?My only note, and the only ⭐ I withheld, would be that our steak skillet had barely any meat in it and was mostly large chunks of potatoes and cheese (fine, but we're here for the full melange). If we're going to do hunks of potato, I personally prefer a small to medium dice, but hash browns are my top. Skillets are a staple and will be what brings people in over and over so that they can have the filling savory meal while they share your delicious waffles. “This is a fabulous establishment. We were visiting from out of town and went here nearly every day of our trip for breakfast. The food is delicious and a great variety. “Whenever I'm in Chicago I search for hidden gem foodie spots. I mean Chicago is literally foodie Heaven. We didn't dine in because we were trying to prepare for an event but I'm kind of glad we didn't. It's small and dark inside, and I felt like the tables were too close together. But they made up for it all with an AMAZING breakfast. I got the gyro skillet. Absolutely delicious!! The picture does it absolutely no justice.. I never thought of gyro as a breakfast item and now I know I need it often. There were huge portions of meat and amazing tzatziki sauce and nobody will ever call them stingy with the cheese because for every bite I got delicious feta cheese chunks mixed in. It was amazing. The pancakes were basic, there was nothing wrong with them but I'm not going to reminisce on them. But that gyro skillet!!! I can't wait to get it again“

“I have been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. It's a very small personable place where you feel so welcome every time you walk in. The women who run the place have known my son since he was 4 years old, and still remembers him every time we come in. The food is always great . “Courageous Bakery and Cafe has some solid breakfast and pastry choices. My husband is a huge sucker for breakfast burritos and I am a huge fan of buttery, flakey biscuits. Courageous has both so it's a win-win for us! Besides breakfast, we would typically order croissants, cupcakes, and/or 4 inch birthday cake to go. None of those have disappointed us. The only downside is the horchata loca latte was somewhat mediocre in which both horchata and coffee flavors were underwhelming.“

My breakfast quesadilla was very flavorful and ample in size (plus it came with sides of sour cream, guac and salsa). Half of it came home with me. My husband's sandwich (Glen Forest) was grilled chicken with bacon, cheddar cheese and bbq sauce on sourdough bread. It came with a cup of soup and he opted for the chicken noodle which was hearty and delicious. The fries were fantastic (the double fried kind) and he had leftovers as well. We would both HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!“

We ordered the Deluxe Skillet and a BLT Wrap, order was ready at the specified time.., friendly greeting when I arrived. Everything was really good, my BLT wrap was loaded with bacon! “Been here twice now, both times the food has been amazing!!! Everything on their menu looks and sounds delicious, and everyone I came with all loved their food as well. I've ordered two of their hot drinks, the chai latte and the mocha latte, both were so delicious. Only downside to the place is that they're very popular so both times I've been there it was absolutely packed and the parking lot was a bit tricky to get in and out of because of the high traffic there. Both times I've gone though it's been on Sunday afternoons so I'm guessing that's their busiest day. Definitely will go again and I highly recommend it!!“

“I did not feel like cooking breakfast this morning so I decided to order a breakfast burrito from here and it was delicious! The burrito was full of all the healthy good stuff. Scrambled eggs, red peppers, mixed greens, avocado and black beans all wrapped in a flour tortilla. The burrito came with a side of home fries (potatoes). You can get the salsas, the green one and orange one with a little kick and they both complement the burrito and add such flavor. I truly enjoyed it. It was the perfect size and quite filling, especially adding the side of potatoes. I've passed this bakery so many times and you notice it because it's so colorful and put you in the mind of an ice cream shop because the outside is so colorful. I want to try other items on the menu because their breakfast burrito was really good.“

“Today I was adventurous and tried the Country Fried Steak. Really good choice, it has a lemon flavor on the gravy which was good. I'm a regular on Sundays but tried it Saturday Usually good service but today the male waiter was especially helpful. Coffee was never empty, he was asking before I had too. Saturday has a little more traffic than Sunday early morning but it did not take away from the coziness of the restaurant. Mood was actually more upbeat with all the chatter.“
