“Mariana, our waitress was wonderful. The teriyaki salmon combination was delicious, as well as the soft shell crab and tempura appetizer. The miso soup and cucumber salad that came with the combination was the best I have had. Topped it off with green tea and red beans ice cream. Mmmmmm!“

It was actually spicy. Needs just a little something idk. Maybe cardamom.

“I loved this place! Excellent food and service. Very friendly atmosphere. Store front is well lit and nicely organized. Our table was clean. The plates were very nice.
Only room for improvement may just be deep cleaning aspects. Otherwise, I will be coming back for the authentic food!“

“We had a great experience at Ezankaya and I'm looking forward to a return. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. I only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because we ordered three entrees for three people and they came out at different times. The curry softshell crab was one of the most delicious meals I ever had. It was so flavorful. My husband had the chicken curry and loved it. The presentation was nice and the vibe of the restaurant was cool.“

“My husband and I stopped into NoodleBird while visiting Logan Square, and we’re so glad we did. Everything we ate and drank was absolutely delicious. The Pork & Ginger Dumplings, Charcoal Chicken, and Ginger Lemon & Turmeric Soda were all standouts and definitely worth ordering. I also loved the thoughtful detail of the owner’s grandparents’ photos on the bathroom doors. It was such a sweet, personal touch. We’re already looking forward to eating here again the next time we’re in Chicago.“

“Portion sizes were larger than expected, and the crab rangoons are pretty good! I feel the pad thai noodles are lacking in flavor and sauce. I added more fish sauce and lime juice at home and it went from sad to decent but I'm not sure I'll order that again.“

“If you love ginger and a crispy noodle, Penny's Noodle Shop has the best Lad Nar from the city to the burbs. Nothing else like it. The light sauce has ginger, carrots and broccoli and is consistently amazing! Best when dining in but take out good too. Take noodles on the side for takeout and mix it up at home. Delicious every time.“

Presentation was amazing as well. Bread was soft and I wanted to order another LOL. Pho here is traditional and I can say the servings are large! Don’t be shy to ask what’s in the soup! “The menu is small but if you are not familiar with Taiwanese flavor profiles (nobody at our table was), it could be difficult to decide what to try. Fortunately the staff is wonderful and patient and very helpful. We had a terrific server, Max, who was very fun and gave us a lot of information then made recommendations that were spot-on. We really enjoyed our meal and the whole dining experience, and will certainly come back to try other dishes.“

“The place has constant turnover, which is good. There are a lot of Thais so you know it'll be good. The change their menu weekly, so follow their IG. Staff is super nice. UPDATE: this place is under new ownership and the food all tastes very different to me. The husband still loves this restaurant and thinks some of the food is improved; I tried the new eggrolls and they were a salt bomb.“

“I got the lunch special Kung pao it came with an appetizer which I chose veggie rolls (2) they was too good that I forgot to take a Pic of them. The Kung pan is amazing fresh and with savory flavor. Definitely going back to try other items on the menu.“

“We traveled quite a ways to eat here since it is considered by many to be a great old school Chicago restaurant. We went for lunch and it was very quiet inside when we arrived. My kid commented that all the songs that were playing were on her playlist so she was thrilled. She had the sweet and sour chicken and I had the Kung Pao beef. Both were really good and the portions were huge. The meals came with egg drop soup which was excellent and then we also had spring rolls which were very large and really good. Service was very good and the food was reasonably priced. I do wish they still had the old neon sign out front.“

“Over 20 years ago I started eating at their original Lincoln Park location. Today, their delicious food keeps me coming back time after time. It helps that the restaurant is staffed by the nicest people in the world. When I call for pickup they know my order (lad nar with chicken and Japanese gyoza) and they have it ready in ten minutes. Ten minutes!“

“Been coming to Yatai frequently for about two years now, and every time it meets or exceeds my expectations. Service is quick and the workers are kind and check in on you frequently to make sure you have everything you need. Prices are fair especially for the portions (rice bowls, fried rice, noodle dishes, etc). My personal favorites from the menu are the crab rangoons and the crunchy sweet potato tempura rolls! BYOB and they’ll provide glasses if you need them! Absolutely love this place, cannot recommend it enough.“

“Che Thai is a fantastic local spot and everything we’ve tried has been delicious. The Pad See Ew is hands down the best I’ve had in Chicago — perfectly tender noodles, well-cooked chicken, and incredible flavor. Just so good.

The garlic noodles are also a standout. The lo mein noodles are thicker than expected, which actually makes the dish even more comforting and satisfying.

We’ll definitely be regulars here. Pro tip: order on Toast — they prefer it.“

“It's a little restaurant and there aren't many seats but the food is excellent! I've had the General Tsaos Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and the Chop Suey and every time it's made perfect! They take their time with every dish and it tastes fresh and hot! I highly recommend this restaurant! Also, the Service is excellent!“

The Makunouchi (Unagi) is easily among the most outstanding I've ever eaten, maybe even the best. Such a delightful presentation and true to the traditional bento & Ekiben forms, where you discover hidden items as you eat & each side dish feels fresher & more delicious than the last. Feels like a very generously-portioned (in case you're doubting the price tag) home cooked meal prepared and packed by someone with a rare amount of intention & care for not just how the food will taste, but how well it will travel. You can feel the that the chef wants your meal to be a joyful experience filled with little surprises. Truly a new favorite meal of mine in the city that I plan to order again and again.“

“Delicious pho, my daughter is a huge pho fan and she loved it. The gyoza and fresh tasting veggie shrimp rolls in rice paper with peanut sauce on the side were equally as good.

The Kung pao chicken was better than any I’ve had at the surrounding Chinese restaurants in the Skokie/Morton Grove/Glenview area. HUGE portions. Extremely reasonable prices. Kenny the owner is an incredibly nice and inviting person.“

“I wanted to give this location props for their lunch on 8/17. Walking in around 1pm, I could tell they had had their butts handed to them and were obviously understaffed. However, in my perspective they were handling the hangry customers very well, were staying calm and the staff that was present seemed to know what they were doing. The only reason for 4 stars is because and (this has happened more than once at this location) rather than suggesting I try my Pesto Cavatappi with pork, they tell me it comes with pork, which is not true. There is an additional charge for any meat on this bowl.“
